TUI SUNEO Platja D'or

Situated close to the sandy beach in Alcúdia, this 230-room hotel is an adults-only, all-inclusive venue attracting guests of all age groups. We enjoyed a 2-week stay in September 2026 and booked an adapted room on the top floor with great views. The rooms are basic, with a wide-screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities, fridge, air conditioning, safe and fully equipped shower room. There is one buffet restaurant, one bar, an entertainment room, an outside cafe, daily entertainment activities, plenty of sunbeds, one main pool and 2 other shallow pools. There is also garden seating and plenty of outside tables for enjoying pre-lunch or pre-dinner drinks. You have to queue for drinks, limited to 2 drinks at a time per person but the bar staff are highly efficient and great people. Tony, Alex, Dani, Britney, Antonio and the delightful Mor are fantastically friendly and work hard every day to keep all guests happy. The reception team are very helpful and supportive if you have any issues and will do all they can to help. Pool towels are available subject to a 10 Euro deposit, refundable at the end of your holiday. Easy access to the beach but sunbeds and umbrellas are chargeable at 15 Euros. Taxis can be booked at reception and avoid the buses on Market Days. There were 3 live shows a week and plenty of quizzes and of course Karaoke!!! Fast food and salads are available in the poolside cafe and main meals, buffet style are in the main restaurant. Plenty of daily choices, fish, meat, pasta, pizza, roasts, salads, soups, with desserts including apple crumble and custard, baked apples, bread and butter pudding. Good maid service each day. Only 2 lifts, both of which are small. Don’t overload, max 6 persons if everyone is under 7 stone in weight!!! Many guests stay for 3 or 4 days pre or post-cruise. Predominantly UK-based guests but not exclusively. Taxi to hotel from Palma Airport takes around 50 minutes, coaches take longer and allow for drop-offs en route. Bear in mind this is a 3 Star hotel, drinks, food and the total package reflect that, but it is very good value for the price you pay. If you are looking for waiter service, branded drinks, à la carte eating and massages this hotel is not going to be your holiday choice! This was a 3 night add on to our Tui cruise and seems to be one of their hotels. To be fair to previous reviews, yes its fair to say over 3 quarters of the guests are the wrong side of 70, but if the trade off is that you don't get teenagers dive bombing you in the pool then I'm fine with that. We found the buffet generally fine and always replenished, but we are carnivores, I could see veggies struggling ( but to be fair that's not uncommon in Spain). The entertainment was, well we had just come off a cruise, where the entertainment is "top drawer " so not really fair to compare in our 3 nights we had an ABBA tribute act who, fair to say were great, but after that it was just quiz nights. The, very nearby beach, well I'm sorry if you don't think its great you really are very fussy. Overall we had a fantastic relaxing 3 nights, so would highly recommend.

Returned again after visiting in May and found it just as great with friendly staff throughout and being a coeliac looked after me fanatic. I would like to in this review name as many staff people we meet and made conversation with and had a laugh (that's what holidays are for) Reception.Sebastiava, Miriam. Restaurant. Just back from a week’s All Inclusive stay at this hotel. When we booked, we knew it was going to be a fairly basic hotel. For the price we paid for 7 nights All Inclusive, you generally get what you pay for, and overall, the hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. The food was mostly good, and you could always find something nice to eat. We did, however, discover an issue with ants around the orange juice machine and the honey, which wasn’t particularly pleasant. The drinks were okay — the usual watered-down options you tend to get at All Inclusive hotels, so again, this wasn’t unexpected. The pool area was clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. We spent a couple of mornings around the pool, but we’re definitely more beach people, and the beach behind the hotel was absolutely stunning! My one real issue with the hotel was the pool towel situation. On check-in, you’re asked for a €10 deposit per towel and told that you can change them after three days. We tried to change ours on the third day but were told to come back on the fourth day. When we returned on the fourth day, we were told they had no towels available and that we could go on a waiting list. The receptionist was incredibly rude about the situation. Her first reaction was to tell us that we hadn’t been there long enough to change our towels. When I explained that we had arrived on Saturday and it was now Thursday, she simply rolled her eyes. At that point, I requested our deposit back and handed the dirty towels back. I completely understand that they may have had an issue with their towel supply, but I think the situation could have been handled much better. Be honest with guests rather than making it seem like they were at fault. Personally, I don’t think it’s acceptable to pay a deposit and then not be able to change your towel at least once during a week-long stay. If you’re heading here, I’d definitely recommend bringing a spare towel! The location itself is quiet, but if you’re happy to walk for 10–15 minutes, you’ll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. If you walk around 40 minutes along the beach, you’ll reach the marina, which is beautiful. The buses are also cheap and easy to use, so getting around is really straightforward. I’d definitely stay in this area again, although I’m not sure I’d choose this particular hotel. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and next time I think I’d rather pay a little more for a better-quality All Inclusive experience. One final tip: make sure you use plenty of insect repellent, particularly in the evenings. There’s a large lake and lots of little canals around the area, which seem to attract quite a few mosquitoes!

We have travelled to this hotel previously and have really enjoyed our stays but this time we felt that a couple of things let it down. Firstly, the pool towels we had were threadbare and had holes in them, hopefully they will change for next year! The food choice has always been good however this year we felt that it wasn’t to the usual standard and it was barely lukewarm. The drinks - really watered down. The one thing that makes the hotel has always been the staff and that hasn’t changed. If you want a relaxing week doing very little this is the place to go but don’t expect lively entertainment in the evening.
