Viva Cala Mesquida Suites & Spa Adults Only

Been to Viva C. Mesquida many times over two decades and always take at least 4 other couples/families. The set up is incredibly well maintained, staff are terrific, facilities excellent & rooms generous. Still love it. Beach is beautiful. The sole restaurant, La Terraa, overlooking it is now only available for the Selection Club. It’s the way these days, I know. Given there are very few alternatives it might be worth upgrading despite the hefty cost. That way you also get access after 4pm to the beach bar. Suggest avoiding a room in Bloque 2. It’s easily the less lovely outlook. Recommend the short trip to Cap de Pera & the 10 min walk up to its castle & a drink/meal in the square. On a Wednesday there’s a free shuttle there & back to the market from outside the hotel. Or you can get the bus to lively Cala Ratjada. It’s a 20 min walk to Son Moll at its far end, where there’s a bus directly to Cap de Pera on any day. I’d say it’s as sumptuous as 4 star gets. Tip: maybe book through e.g. Jet2. People we met seemed to get better rooms.

Fantastic stay. Room was clean and tidy great space to relax in. Air condition worked well. My wife is gluten free and everything was marked well and staff happy to help with any questions. Entertainment was good in the evening and plenty to do during the day if you want to join in like yoga, water aerobics etc.Also great place for walkers

Fabulous hotel in a remote, quiet, and peaceful part of the island. Its secluded setting is a major part of the resort’s charm. However, if you are looking for easy access to pubs, clubs, and vibrant nightlife, this is not the hotel for you. Keep the location in mind when planning excursions and transfers. It took a solid two hours by coach transfer from the airport on our arrival night. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived in the early hours of the morning. A daytime taxi transfer costs around €99 one-way, which we would certainly consider booking for our next visit. Despite our late arrival, the front desk team made us feel very welcome, and sandwiches were waiting for us in our room. A concierge kindly escorted us to our accommodation and helped with our bags. The cleanliness of both the resort and our room was first-rate and couldn't be faulted; everything was kept spotless throughout our stay. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and a real credit to the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style, while lunch is à la carte. The buffet is extensive and caters to all tastes, with a different theme most nights. The service team is always on hand for drinks orders—a special mention to Carlos and Damian for their impeccable service! Two additional à la carte options are available on-site (a grill and a tapas restaurant), with two complimentary visits included for a seven-night stay, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Down at the beach, there is a café bar with a dedicated area for hotel residents. A solid selection of drinks and spirits is available, though we did feel a bit like a "curiosity" to the general public using the café. The hotel team runs a great activity programme alongside a different live entertainment act every evening. They also organise their own guided excursions, which is a great touch, though almost all of them are walking tours. As my wife has mobility limitations, we couldn't join in, as much as we would have loved to. Perhaps offering Segway tours or gentle transport options could be an idea for the future! Overall, despite the long transfer time, we had a fantastic 10-day stay and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding service. We look forward to returning in the future!

We have been to this hotel many times. We keep returning, because we know what we are getting. However, every year things have slightly changed, some for the better like filtered water this year for drinking. Some not so great. The beach bar has a much more limited menu and I think it is ridiculous. It shuts at 4:30 on sunny days, when the beach is still packed and people would want to get more food and drinks. Also when we first came, we could dine at La Terrazza overlooking the sea and often did with large family groups, now we’re not even allowed to buy a drink or go there for a coffee even though the place is empty. As Entry is restricted to those in Select Club. That is such a disappointment and wasted resource. The entertainment varies there were a couple of superb acts including Boney M. and Soul Diva Swimming pool exercise varied too. I think there was too much yoga in the pool and not enough fun activities with noodles and music.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were so attentive and friendly. There were lots of lovely little extra touches that made it even more special. The frozen towels at the pool were greatly appreciated! The outdoor cinema evening with popcorn and drinks was lovely. The pool party with dj and sax player was fantastic. I can't comment on the evening food as we had a car and like to travel into Cala Ratjada port for dinner but the breakfast was lovely. We will most likely return to this hotel. We have travelled to Majorca over 20 times and this was one of our favourite hotels.
