Viva Cala Mesquida Suites & Spa Adults Only

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Set in beautiful grounds with a lovely beach just 10 minutes walk away. It is located in a very quiet area of the resort and we liked the fact it is adults only. This hotel is kept immaculately clean, both inside and out, by a dedicated staff of polite, hardworking people. Ben on reception was extremely helpful and charming when we first arrived at 11 pm. We’d also like to mention Pepe and Damien who work at the outdoor restaurant, they were very hardworking and cheerful. They both look alike and we sometimes wondered who was who. We had a junior suite with large bed, lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower and twin sinks. We had a large seating area and 2 tv sets with British channels which was a nice surprise. We were very pleased with the standard of accommodation, the rooms are located in (I think) 5 blocks with airy corridors and good lifts. Each floor has a water station for drinking water, jugs for collection are provided in the rooms. Evening entertainment was mostly first class, we particularly enjoyed the Queen tribute act and the three male soul singers. It was nice to have a small selection of books available for guests. We had an appointment at the spa but it was cancelled due to staff sickness so we can’t really comment on that. I’m afraid to stay I was a bit disappointed with the food, mainly because it was often served up lukewarm. I was particularly dismayed when I was served a chicken curry with cold chicken pieces in the sauce. I found the soup wasn’t hot enough on several occasions. Eggs on the servery looked very unappetising, the fried eggs were congealed and poached eggs were lukewarm yet overdone. Most quality hotels have an ‘egg station’ where eggs are cooked to order, not sure why one wasn’t provided at this hotel.

We had previously stayed here three years ago and enjoyed the calm relaxing ambiance so decided to go back. It was still as relaxing as before and we had an enjoyable holiday.

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, then this hotel is the place to stay. Great variety of food in the restaurant, good entertainment in the evenings as well. Friendly and helpful staff and 5* cleanliness, what more could you want.

Faultless. Food, drinks, service, pools, entrtainment and general feel of the place. Rooms very comfortable and cleaned as often as you want.
