Viva Cala Mesquida Suites & Spa Adults Only

The hotel is an absolute gem. Great to see familiar staff faces from our previous visit. Very professional and polite staff in all areas. The lunch if you’re on All Inclusive is superb. It’s not cheap to stay here, but it very very nice. Relaxed up market ambiance at meal times and dress code enforced. No sports wear or sliders here! Great choice if you want to stay in the quiet N/E area of the island. Adults only hotel - nice and chilled but some great fitness classes also including Aquafit and Yoga.

Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway. Cala Mesquida is very secluded with a beautiful blue water beach a couple minutes walk from your room , surrounded by rocky trails up and around the mountains with fantastic views! On the down side there is shops there but they have hardly anything inside . Though there is a bus (422) that stops right outside the hotel and takes you to Cala Ratjada in 10-13minutes or you could ask the hotel staff to order a taxi which is around €14-€20 depending on how the driver is feeling. €6 there and back on the bus and you can just tap your card and it’s scheduled every hour . The staff through out the resort are fantastic and I suggest you get all inclusive and selective club package.

Just back from this hotel and cannot fault it. Very relaxing environment, staff are all very welcoming and will do anything to assist. No kettles in room but as I emailed before arriving this was all in room on arrival. Had been upgraded to a garden room which was lovely but unfortunately, I presume due to time of year not much sun on garden. Buffet restaurant excellent always plenty choice and I am Gluten free but could always find something suitable. Lunch menu needs more GF options but what I could eat was faultless and very tasty. As hotel set next to natural park lots of options for walking. Hotel also provides walking excursions with Marcel and even though I was the only English speaking in a group of Germans he made me feel included. I will definitely be back. Only downside is 2hr trip from airport so next time I will look into private transfer.

This was an, ‘almost’ last minute booking, and, with a budget in mind! Gosh! What a great and more than welcome surprise. We booked bed & breakfast (as we like to go out and eat locally when we are away), and upgraded our room to an executive suite (which is mid range at this resort tbh). We booked through EasyJet Holidays as we had used them before and everything ‘just worked’, a great service provider in our opinion. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the front our house porter who took our luggage and ushered us into reception. What came next was rather a surprise, we were given a glass of bubbles each and informed that we were part of ‘the selection club’ a premium service offering. I have to say, initially, I thought that they must have mistaken us for another couple arriving that day as we hadn’t paid a premium price for our holiday. Nope, it was us, Wow! We were given our wristbands which gave us access to everything within the resort and taken to our room. [as a premium guest you have a 24hr online concierge service via WhatsApp - this is fantastic and nothing is a problem] The room was on the ground floor at the end of building #4, room 4001. It had a private garden with hammock, recliner chairs, normal chairs and a table. Inside, a lounge, a large main bedroom and a separate bathroom & shower and his & her sinks and huge mirror. There were robes and slippers, towels and separate beach towels provided. (In our room there was a jacuzzi bath, although unfortunately it wasn’t working). In the entrance hall to the suite there were three good sized wardrobes, good tea & coffee making facilities and a fully stocked fridge. The restaurant - Food across the board was fantastic, lots of it and the staff are really helpful and efficient. [Recommendation - Do not book Bed & Breakfast, there are virtually no local restaurants in this resort. We upgraded to half board as soon as we realised, this was really easy to do in reception and not expensive] There are other restaurants within the resort that are available at an additional cost - we did not use them therefore are unable to comment. Both Breakfast and dinner were generous and we were definitely spoilt for choice at every meal - drinks are also included and they are brought to the table as soon as your glass is getting empty. Dinner has a different theme each evening which again was nice. There is a Spa at the resort that, as ‘selection club’ members we had access to, a spa pool (slightly cold for us), a sauna and a steam room - other treatments can be booked at additional cost. There are three pools on site, of which one has a ‘selection club’ members only area - this is blissful, the cabanas are fab and there is a waiter service for drinks to each cabana via a QR code webpage. Additionally, 500m away, is the main beach, this is professionally managed by a team of lifeguards, it has soft sand, sun loungers and fixed parasols (19.60 Euro a day) [upside, the fixed parasols has a number lock safe attached to each post allowing you to store your valuables whilst you are in the sea] For, ‘Selection Club’ guests, there is the Beach Club [accessed with your wristband], this is a real perk, located adjacent to the main beach restaurant, it provides free spirits / beers / soft drinks, snacks, coffee and beach towels - a big thumbs up from us. All in all, I have to say that this was a great holiday and fealt that I should spend time to write this as, for me, it was an exceptional experience.

Lovely quiet hotel. Rooms massive and beds very comfortable. Fantastic food. Staff very professional. Quiet location only 500 metres from a large sandy beach. Good entertainment at night. If you want a quiet, relaxing break then this hotel is for you. If you like a bit of a nightlife then this is definitely not for you.
