TUI BLUE Maduzi Bangkok

It’s a beautiful small hotel with friendly service. Real art on the walls and hallways. Just not the “usual” hotel. A Pearl in the middle of bangkok. Close to BTS and MRT. Perfect! Thanks to Mr. Alex for his great service and always sunny mood 🙏🏼

Hotel staff are lovely and friendly, breakfast is great (I love that its not a buffet) and it is generally clean. Location is also great as there is a 7-11 over the road, 5 minute walk to BTS and M stations and plenty of restaurants around the area (Aesops Greek in a hotel just down the road is worth a particular mention). However, the rooms clearly need updating and are appearing a bit 'tired', definitely looked better on the pictures than in person. Also myself and my husband weren't particularly impressed by the bed (but I believe many people love them... personal preference!) As it was a very hard mattress paired with very soft pillows, and a quilt/blanket which didn't cover the whole bed and meant one of us always ended up without! Some guests seem to complain about the noise, it is loud overnight but what city hotel isn't? That being said, it didn't ruin our time in Bangkok, and we appreciated that they listened to our 'special request' of it being our honeymoon by leaving us a welcome note and putting us on the top floor. The decor and furniture included in the rooms was clearly very well thought out when completed, it just needs to be tidied up a bit and then I would give it 5 stars.

The hotel itself is well located - 5 minutes walk from BTS asoke / Sukhumvit MRT and Terminal 21. Despite my room facing the main road, noise was never a problem (though not sure about privacy). The room U04 was well sized, and the bed was comfortable. Big props to the staff as well, who were great and supportive, and allowed a non charged late checkout to 4 pm(!!) However, there were some issues. The bath situation made no sense, as there was only a rainfall shower and a jacuzzi tub. The aircon was only on one side of the room so it took time to cool down. The room was also very dark and lighting was a bit too romantic to get work done. Still, for a future solo trip I could do a lot worse than this.

It was my first time at this hotel, and I would definitely recommend it. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is great, as is the food. The metro is 5 minutes away from the hotel, which makes it easy to get anywhere, and Terminal 21 mall is also right there. Thank you very much for the short and pleasant stay.

The Maduzi is a little oasis of calm in the middle of a busy Bangkok. It’s situated near to Terminal 21 with its great shops and restaurants and Emsphere in the opposite direction, also with great restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, and the pillows are great. We both slept really well. The staff can’t do enough for you. And if you have time for a chat, Alex and Chucky will oblige. Both great raconteurs with stories to tell. We’re going back there for 2 nights on our way home and we are looking forward to it.
