Barceló Coconut Island Phuket

We absolutely loved our stay at Barceló Coconut Island. We spent six days there, and it was the perfect opportunity to completely switch off and enjoy both the hotel and its surroundings. The location is undoubtedly one of its biggest attractions. Being on an island, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and away from the usual noise and hustle of Phuket. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and forget about the pace of everyday life for a few days. We would especially like to mention Sandra from Guest Experience. Her attention throughout our stay was exceptional. From the very beginning, she was incredibly warm, friendly and professional, and she was there for us throughout all six days, constantly making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our experience. She always had a smile on her face and was happy to help with anything we needed. Without a doubt, people like Sandra are what make a stay even more special. Thank you so much for everything, Sandra!!!!! We also absolutely loved the food. We ate really well throughout our stay, everything was delicious, with a great variety of dishes that were very well prepared. It was definitely another highlight of the hotel for us. Overall, we leave with a fantastic impression. The beautiful surroundings, the peaceful atmosphere and, above all, the wonderful staff make this hotel a truly special place.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We were a family of 3 generations staying in a villa, with ages from 4 - 78. We had an excellent stay with plenty of things to do for everyone, from water slides, pools, walks and bike rides. Kids club and great restaurants with excellent food. This was our second visit which says it all. Well worth exploring the local village and the Coconut Seafood restaurant.

We had such a lovely family holiday at Barceló Coconut Island and came home with some really special memories. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel welcome. The staff were always smiling, friendly and happy to help. Our villa was lovely really spacious, very clean and comfortable, with large bedrooms and bathrooms, so there was plenty of room for all of us. We made good use of the facilities, especially the sauna, steam room, several swimming pools and gym. I would have loved a few more fitness classes, but that is probably my preference as I like to keep active even when I am on holiday! My personal highlight was definitely the Muay Thai classes with Wong. I already do boxing so I was really excited to give Muay Thai a try while I was in Thailand. Wong the instructor was brilliant. He was friendly, encouraging and great fun, and we had a lot of laughs — mainly at some of my attempts! He also worked me incredibly hard, which was exactly what I wanted. I finished the sessions absolutely exhausted. I also want to give a special thank you to Hassan, the manager. He was such a professional manager and a good person. One member of our family needed a little extra support during our stay, and Hassan could not have been more thoughtful. He took the time to regularly check that everything was okay and did what he could to make things easier for my son. As a parent, that meant a great deal to me. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be a daily shuttle from the pier to somewhere like Central Phuket or Patong. We would definitely have made use of it, and I think it would make exploring the island much easier for guests than waiting for taxis as the pier is 20 mins from central shopping centres. Again thank you to Hassan and all the staff who looked after us and helped make our family holiday so enjoyable. We would definitely love to return one day. ❤️

We had such a wonderful time at the Barcelo Coconut Island. Our villa was absolutely perfect. It was quiet and calm. Many thanks to Hassan and Sucha for sorting this out for us. The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Kyle at Kabang is the kindest friendliest person. He is a big personality with a big heart. Lina is always smiling. Con was welcoming at breakfasts at Laku and she has the heartiest laugh which just warms your soul in the morning. Sandra made us feel at home and provided advice on things to do in Phuket. Ron, the tour guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. He led us on a tour of the James Bond island and we really enjoyed his company. Our housekeeper Jiu was awesome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay including spotting and getting rid of wildlife that had decided to visit the villa. We had the all-inclusive package and it was definitely worth it. The food at Barcelo coconut island is amazing. The chefs are responsive and increased the spice heat level when we requested. The cocktails were delicious and the wines were ok. Sparkling wine should be included in the all inclusive menu. The arrival lounge at the mainland harbour could do with a cafe/bar. Somewhere to grab a drink, coffee or tea whilst waiting for the transfer boat, especially if you have just missed the boat and have to wait 30 minutes or more. We can’t wait go back to this hotel. It is superb.
