La Vela Khao Lak

We had a wonderful stay at La Vela Khao Lak for 8 nights and absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. The location is excellent - right on the beach and easy walk to Bang Nang Market. All of the staff where welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were well looked after during our stay. The tour desk was fantastic and met all our needs. The food was excellent with a great variety and the buffet breakfast was one of the best we have seen. The amenities provided excellent options of choice anf rge hotel provides a range of packages to suit different needs, providing excellent value for money. The spa and gym were both great and exactly what you needed on holiday. We stayed in a pool access room which we loved the convenience of stepping out our door and into the pool. Relaxing in your private entrance a bonus. Overall, La Vela exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely recommend La Vela for a great holiday in Khao Lak.

The best hotel! Everyone were so kind, and my family had the best week here. We forgot our daughters teddybear at the hotel, and the very kind Bob from the reception sended his friends with the teddybear till our next hotel on Phuket. We are so gratefull for that! A special thanks to Bob that helped us with so many things!

Just returned from spending 14 days at the hotel and I can fully recommend it. Ideally located for restaurants and bars plus the night market is only a short walk away. Hotel was very clean and tidy, all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a good size and could not fault the cleanliness, the only slight improvement I would say is please provide bigger and better towels. The pools and beach are very good with a fantastic bar area/restaurant, that does an amazing barbecue buffet dinner. A few minor things could be improved like enforcing no smoking on the beach and a few little areas need some maintenance but these are minor things as it doesn’t spoil your holiday.

We stayed as a family — my husband, myself, and our 2-year-old child. On the first morning, our child wore pajamas to breakfast, and no staff member said anything or informed us that this was not allowed. However, on the second morning, we were not allowed to enter the breakfast area because our child was wearing pajamas. We were asked to go back to our room and change clothes, even though our room was quite far away. I understand that this is the hotel’s rule, and we are happy to follow the rules. However, I believe guests should be informed about this policy during check-in, as every hotel has different rules and dress codes. We had no idea that pajamas were not allowed at breakfast. What was especially disappointing was that the rule seemed to be handled differently on the two days. On the first day, we were allowed to enter without any problem, while on the second day, we were refused. It felt like it depended on which staff member we happened to meet. Overall, this experience made us feel quite disappointed and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we will not stay at this hotel again, and we would not recommend it to our friends or people we know.

What a wonderful 9-night stay at La Vela Khao Lak. ❤️ I arrived hoping to relax and recharge, but I’m leaving with beautiful memories, a full heart and the feeling that I’ve found a second home. The resort is stunning, but it’s the people who make it truly special. Heartfelt thanks to Ice, Gam, Yah, Pang, Toffee, Fern, New, Jhoy, Bob and Alex, along with the entire team whose warmth, smiles and thoughtful service made my stay unforgettable. From housekeeping and the breakfast coffee crew to the spa staff, bartenders and talented fire dancers, everyone helped create such a welcoming experience. A special mention to the friendly and entertaining bartenders at Kokulo Beach — they definitely deserve a raise! 😂 The hospitality here goes far beyond five-star service; it feels genuine, personal and full of heart. After nine nights, I truly feel I’m leaving a little piece of myself behind in Khao Lak. Thank you, La Vela family, for the wonderful memories. I’ll treasure them and look forward to returning one day. 🇹🇭❤️
