Aonang Villa Resort

Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet, quiet property

THE best resort on the beach. Quaint, old-world charm, classic. Staying again after 6yrs! The ambience has only improved!! Rooms are sufficiently large, and most have balconies. While beach-view rooms might sell out months in advance, the pool-view rooms are not bad either. Breakfast was good. Room service worked like clockwork; no complaints. Has 3-4 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, spa, play area, etc. If you're a dad, you might have to juggle your family's priority places - so much inside near the resort itself. Better pan out your exploration plans. Just a minor glitch: the water pressure in our shower was pathetic all 3 days we were in! Could be limited to our room or floor.

We had a wonderful stay at Ao Nang Beach Villa and would go back in a heartbeat. The location is hard to beat: steps from the beach, with restaurants, shops, and the longtail boats to Railay and the islands all within easy walking distance. Even so, the property itself felt calm and tucked away from the bustle. Our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with cold air conditioning and a great bed after long days in the sun. The pool area was lovely for a lazy afternoon, and the view of the limestone cliffs never got old. What really made the trip was the staff. Everyone greeted us with a smile, remembered our names, and went out of their way to help with tours, transfers, and local tips. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, both Thai and Western. Great value, a beautiful setting, and genuinely warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Krabi!

Beautiful beach location, but petty inventory fees cost them a returning guestWe recently stayed at the Aonang Villa Resort in Krabi. While the property itself is in an amazing beachfront spot with beautiful views, our departure was completely ruined by an incredibly rigid management policy.During our stay, we had an honest accident and broke a basic water glass in the room. At checkout, the front desk rigidly insisted on charging us a 100 Baht penalty fee. While 100 Baht is a small amount of money, it represents a massive 400%–800% markup on a standard bulk commercial glass—especially frustrating considering the resort's own restaurants are entirely stocked with the exact same glassware. We had explicitly planned to return to this resort next year for our annual vacation, but penalizing loyal guests for a minor, everyday accident is incredibly short-sighted hospitality. Management chose to pocket 100 Baht today at the expense of 10's of thousands of Baht in future booking revenue. We will be booking our trip elsewhere next year and not recommending this place to others. If you stay here, be aware that you are viewed as an inventory checklist rather than a valued guest

We arrived on Friday 28th August and stayed 2 weeks- the the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome - Our rooms were on the top floor looking out to the sea AMAZING view - we were B&B the Breakfast choice was perfect for us plenty to choose from and all very fresh and well presented again the staff were fantastic smiling all the time and helpful. Location is superb the beach directly in front - the main hub of Aonang is there for you to enjoy and explore, beach and the sunsets are something else :) Great for longboat trips to next door Railay beach and cheap to get too. We did a 4 island tour and also had booked ourselves before we came to the hotel a 2 night stay away on Ko Yao Yai (that was AMAZING too) we needed all our transfers booked whilst in Aonang so we used Horizon (situated in the hotel) we could have booked this at the many booths in Aonang but used the hotels service which again I can highly recommend to use nothing was too much trouble and the covered all our needs very organised and informative staff. The tour for the 4 islands we went by speedboat just the 4 of us and had our own tour guide who told us loads on the islands we toured (Kim was our tour guide). The hotel is having some work done to up grade part of the hotel but this didn't affect our holiday in any way. Bedrooms were very spacious and clean with everything you need, comfortable beds too. I would highly recommend the restaurant to dine food again superb and very reasonable prices too. Explore aonang and surrounding areas and eating out was great didn't have one bad meal the whole trip. We will be back to explore more of what this area of Thailand has to offer as it has loads.
