Sentido Bellevue Park

Just back from a 10 night stay. We loved it, the hotel was lovely, the staff were the real gems of this hotel. From the reception, bellman, waiters, cleaners and animation team. The place has a few cosmetic bits that need addressing but they didn’t put us off. Our room was spacious, we paid for a sea view and it was beautiful. It was cleaned every day. The food was very tasty and varied, we always found something we liked and tried things we have never had. We were a very short walk onto our beach, the sea was warm and inviting. It was hard to get sun beds there, those at the front must be up at the crack of dawn to put their towels on them. The young animation team did all sorts of things during the day like dart competitions, archery, french bowls, volleyball, aqua aerobatics, cooking lesson, musical chairs and even a chance to learn some Arabic. They were never imposing but let you know what was going on. I found every member of staff greeted you each day, happy, smiling and very respectful. Our 4th time in Tunisia and this hotel and staff were our favourite and it’s where we will go back to. We loved sitting on an evening on the terrace just relaxing and listening to entertainment.

We had a wonderful stay! The people were lovely and welcoming, the entertainment was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was also very clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and we truly enjoyed our time here!

Just 40 mins from the airport, our arrival and booking in was easy even though we were a Family group of 12. We had lunch and a wander and our rooms were ready at 14:30. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with a small selection of soft drinks to refresh you after the journey. Our daughters family room of 4 was huge with a separate bedroom for the children. Some of the rooms have an over the bath shower. There are areas of the Hotel that could be smartened up but overall it is very good. The main restaurant gets very busy at peak times, the food was good with the obvious Tunisian influence and always very hot. Some queues at certain "stations" due to food being freshly cooked. Staff are very friendly and service was excellent here, at the snack bar and in the speciality restaurants. The pool is huge and no shortage of sunbeds. The staff at the bars were excellent, special thanks to the barman at he cocktail bar for his attention. Gardens are very nice and the beach is 2 mins walk away. Daytime and evening entertainment was very good , the animation team worked very hard in very high temperatures which peaked to 46 degrees the last few days. We would recommend Bellevue Park and would book again.

Honest review…Here goes, We are fairly well traveled and I can honestly say there is no way this hotel is a 5 star. ( it may be in Tunisia) but look at some of the photos of our room and you will see why. The staff here are absolutely fantastic they cannot do enough for you, all so friendly. The restaurant staff work so hard catering for everyone’s needs from morning till night. Out waiter (Akeem ?) think that’s how you spell it was fantastic, kept our table for us every morning and evening, knew exactly what drinks we had, always had a chat, we went here with my son and sometimes he went to breakfast on his own, but he always came and said your sons been in. Thinking how many customers are in this hotel he remembers everyone. One day we arrived for breakfast and he asked where’s your son I told him he had stomach problems and he said I will get bananas and make him a drink that will settle his stomach.( they night he came up and apologised to him saying he was unable to get bananas, what a nice man. He deserves a big pat on the back. Next is Rachel ( Richard the lionheart!) down in the pool bar/coffee shop he was so helpful when we first arrived , got us iced coffee as we arrived at 9,30 am and our room wasn’t ready until 2 pm! He told us about the hotel and the meal times, and every single day no matter where he was as soon as he saw us he always came and greeted all of us like old friends. The other staff in pool bar, lounge bar always so welcoming, and knew I liked English tea! There’s areas of the hotel that certainly need an update, and re decorating, and that’s what I feel let’s this hotel down. The beach was another bit of a let down, we hadn’t walked of the wooden walkway before we were hassled by sellers, trying to sell us tat they we didn’t want ( I thought it was a private beach?) That’s one thing I don’t enjoy, whilst I’m laying enjoying my well deserved holiday. If we want to book a trip we will do it in our own time. Talking of which we booked a double trip with the chap at the hotel he was a bit persistent saying oh you know we need to book up two trips or there can be three and he give us a deal. We’ve only been there one day and we said give us a chance to settle in and we will come and find you you’re in the hotel every day. Eventually we agreed to a Quad bike and catamaran trip. £125 for both. He said quad biking is through Oliver groves, more like a building site with a few trees, but my son really wanted to do it after we told him about the one we done in Egypt. We were shown a 5 minute this is the accelerator and this is the brakes, helmets on, off we went. It’s a fun thing to do just wish it had been in the desert rather than a bit of waste grand. But worth a go. Trip number 2, the catamaran where he said you may see Dolphins. We booked the 9.30 just us two as my son is petrified of the sea so he was staying at the hotel. The day before the man came and found us and said can we do the later sailing as the catamaran in the morning trip that we was meant to be on had been booked out for a private party, ok that’s fine we will go on the 2.pm. We had lunch went to the reception for 1.30 like he told us to, and waited until nearly 2 pm, spoke to the reception staff and was told oh just wait they will arrive. We waited then a lady from our hotel came in and said the the catamaran bus came about 1.20/1.25 called out for us and just left without us! I was absolutely furious and really angry. I went and found him and he said I’ll call him get him to come back but he said he’s already sailing catamaran. He said I can book you on another trip on Monday ( we came home Tuesday) I said nope I don’t want to do that I want to chill by the pool as it’s our last day. He tried to get us to do another trip as he relies on people doing the trips with him to give him commission.I told him I’ll give you until Sunday/Monday morning to give me back our money or I’ll go to the hotel manager, he came and found me and gave us back our money in GBP. I was very angry and he knew it. It was a nice break away chilling, and relaxing. But I can honestly say do not ( A bit like me) expect this hotel to be a true 5 star hotel) Listen to all the reviews and get the faults sorted and this would maybe make a 5 start rating.
