Akra Kemer

We are just back from another fabulous holiday at the Akra Kemer. This is the second time we have been to the hotel so we were slightly worried that it didn't live up to our previous experience but, if anything, it was better. The hotel itself is quite large and showing a little wear and tear in places but it is immaculately clean throughout. The level of service is second to none and we did not come across a single member of staff who was not helpful, courteous and friendly. The pool bar staff are brilliant and roller blade around the pool ensuring that you are never without a drink if you need one. We chose to sit around the quieter pool which was lovely and serene but close enough to the other areas to enjoy the activities and feel some of the atmosphere. The restaurant staff in both the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were exceptional, as was the food. The choice of fresh salads and fruits was outstanding and the quality of the meat and poultry was excellent. The desserts are also spectacular. What also sets this hotel apart is the entertainment team. Our daughter has a learning disability and loves to take part in activities. The staff could not have done enough for her and she particularly took a shine to Batuhan who was so lovely with her. The evening entertainment was also high quality, in particular, the Gala night (held fortnightly I believe) which was brilliant with a light show in the pool, champagne, a huge Alaska cake that was handed out to all guests followed by a performance by a top quality band who would be at home gracing any large capacity venue. I have mentioned Batuhan but everyone of the entertainments team, led by Emrah, were exceptional and significantly contributed to us having a great holiday. The hotel room itself was spacious with good air con and comfortable beds. We will definitely be back and make sure that we are there on the Gala evening week.

Our 7th visit to the Akra Kemer and it just keeps getting better. The hotel allows you to enjoy the Holiday that suits you, you want activities and shows, they have you covered, if you want (like ourselves) to have a quiet peaceful break, you can do that too. We spent our days on the pier and evenings in the Luna bar sipping fantastic cocktails. The buffet we found tasty and varied (and the wife is a very fussy eater!) We also tried 5 of the a-la-carte restaurants, our favourites were the El Taco, Asain and the criminally under used and under-appreciated a-la-carte breakfast where the service and menu is a nice change from the usual buffet fare. Claire also visited the spa often and I had a couple of cheeky Hamman/massages as well, all delivered by the lovely Kadek and Putu... a must recommend. Finally the staff at this hotel really do go way above and beyond, they're an absolute delight and do everything to make your stay special. Far to many to name them all but Hatice at the buffet breakfast was a delight, knew our order by day two and always served with a huge smile and a little conversation, lovely way to start your day. Kadir at the pier bar, looked after us during the day, ensuring a steady supply of Bailey's Iced coffees (judging by the scales upon my return, maybe a little to much supply) but he was always good fun and a pleasure to be around. Umit at the A-la-carte breakfast has been here years and is a true Gentleman and lovely guy. Finally Dogan from the buffet restaurant, Claire and I have got to know him really well over the years, great service, great chats and even better hugs. I fully recommend a visit to this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Akra Kemer! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made our holiday even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Tom from the entertainment team. He was such a lovely, friendly, and positive person. Tom really made our days more fun with his great energy, kindness, and entertainment. He always made us smile and helped create some very happy memories. The whole entertainment team were fantastic, and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Thank you to everyone at Akra Kemer for making our holiday so special! ❤️🌴

Second stay at this resort. Just good as the first visit. Excellent buffet restaurant with adult only area. Able to visit Al a carte booking via the app. Luna bar was our favourite watering hole. Bar service in all bars very good. No mad early morning rush to get sun beds.Animation team were very good. Nice rooms with all the usual amenities. Certainly would go again.

Everything about this hotel goes beyond expectations.. The grounds and lobby are immaculate- perfect for that first impression. Check in so smooth and luggage taken up to the room. We arrived late at night and wasn't expecting much in terms of food and drink but this hotel offers a night menu with everything cooked fresh to order and served to your table plus the lobby bar is open 24/7. Rooms are exactly as described/pictured on website and were cleaned every day if required, the mini bar was also restocked daily. Beds big and comfortable although I did request a mattress topper as I have hip problem and after a quick chat with Baran at Guest Relations this was quickly in place. There are robes, slippers, shoe shine, free safe, iron & board and toiletries, plus 2 beach towels. There are USB sockets also with plenty of choice of lighting. Restaurants - The main buffet restaurant was large with indoor and outdoor seating, there was so much choice every day and evening and everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection, there were theme nights which mirrored the a la cartes so if you didn't manage to book the a la carte you weren't missing out. There are 2 outdoor food areas during the day, one that does pizza, waffles and ice-cream and the other had an extensive menu such as sizzling beef, burgers and noodles - these were both table service. A la Cartes have to be booked via the hotel app from 8am in the morning and depending on your length of stay will depend on how many you can book. We tried the Turkish and Mexican whilst there and they were both very enjoyable. Pools - The main long pool is the 'relax' pool and it winds it's way down to another pool with the swim up bar and waterfall ( this is where Animation did aerobics etc) there is a toddler pool then another pool near the slides which they do water polo game. There is also an indoor pool which leads into the spa area. There was always sunbeds available and the 'skater waiters' make sure you are constantly topped up with drinks without having to leave your sunbed. Entertainment - the programme was varied during our stay from motorcycles in a cage to live singers and karaoke. There truly is something for everyone and most nights they use both the main stage and then switch to the party stage. There was a party on the pier one afternoon and also a BBQ another day. Staff - This is what makes this hotel exceptional - every single member of staff is friendly, professional and genuinely look happy to be there. The bar/waiting staff tend to rotate around the areas of the hotel so you really do get to know them, if you put the effort in to speaking to them they really do make you feel like family. There are a multitude of other things within this hotel such as shops, cinema, cafe etc so you really don't need to venture out but if you do you can turn left out of the hotel and walk into Kemer centre (about 20 mins) . There are a lot of shops/bazarres en route but be prepared to be pestered constantly to buy things. It's not as bad during the day. Summary - This was our first time visiting Turkey and this hotel wowed us so much it's made us eager to return.
