Floria Beach Hotel

I want to make clear from the outset that there were some positive aspects to our stay. When we first arrived at the Floria Beach Hotel, we were very impressed with the appearance and layout of the hotel. Our room was also very nice and was cleaned daily. The pool and beach areas were enjoyable, and the lifeguard was particularly friendly and helpful. The entertainment, when it was provided, was also very good. Unfortunately, these positives were outweighed by a number of issues which significantly affected our experience. During our stay, we struggled almost every day to obtain sunbeds around both the pool and beach. The issue appeared to be caused by guests leaving towels on sunbeds from the previous day, or reserving them before the time permitted by the hotel and then leaving them unoccupied for several hours. On occasions, sunbeds were apparently being reserved and not actually used until around 2pm. This significantly reduced our ability to enjoy the facilities we had paid for. While we appreciate that this is partly down to the behaviour of individual guests, we felt that the hotel could have done considerably more to enforce its own rules regarding sunbed reservations. We found the food at the hotel to be fairly generic and lacking in variety. More seriously, my partner became extremely unwell with a stomach illness and was ill for several days during the holiday. Based on previous personal experience of similar symptoms, we strongly suspect that this may have been related to the food consumed at the hotel. We obviously cannot definitively establish the cause of the illness, and we are not making an accusation that the hotel was responsible. However, the fact that one of us was unwell for a significant portion of the holiday inevitably had an impact on our enjoyment and is something we feel should be raised as part of this review. The hotel staff were generally helpful, although we did not feel that the level of friendliness matched the effort we were making to be friendly and engage with staff. The vast majority of guests appeared to be non-English speaking. We completely appreciate that an international hotel will naturally have guests from a variety of countries and have no issue whatsoever with this. However, we were surprised by the demographic of the hotel and, from our experience, suspected that a significant proportion of guests were Russian. Given the current international situation and some of the behaviour we experienced from other guests, we unfortunately found ourselves feeling quite isolated and as though we were constantly doing something wrong. We appreciate that the nationality of other guests is not something the hotel can necessarily control. Our concern is more that there was nothing during the booking process to indicate that the hotel would have such a predominantly non-English-speaking clientele. Had we known this beforehand, our expectations may have been different. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with several aspects of this holiday. We want to stress that the hotel itself had many positive features. The building and facilities were good, our room was comfortable and clean, the pool and beach were enjoyable, and some members of staff were very helpful. The only negatives with the room were inconsistent heat in the shower and a shower gel dispenser that didn't work. What is particularly disappointing is that many of these issues could have been avoided with better organisation and more professional staff. We feel that the hotel could have provided a very good holiday experience, but the way certain aspects were handled resulted in us being left with a very negative impression.

What can I say perfect location, perfect food and plenty of it ,amazing staff friendly and very helpful made our holiday stay very enjoyable . We will definitely be returning next year .Bellingham you always made us laugh 😃

Just got back today we had a nice quiet holiday but we won’t be back mainly cos of the hotels attitude to the cats that live in their grounds. We saw 3 cats, one had two kittens as well who lives at the pool side behind the steps . I witnessed a waiter kick one of the cats as they were hanging around for food totally out of order. When I asked at the reception if they give the cats food and or water they said no I pointed out that they are living in their grounds and they will keep it rodent free for them so morally they should at least give them water and maybe a bit of food but they were not interested. They even go around telling the customers not to feed them which is mean especially as one of them has two kittens like I said earlier. I won’t let this be my impression of all Turkish people but it didn’t sit well with me. The coach transfer took nearly 3 hours but was air conditioned and the driver was lovely. It was such a long transfer and was ok on the way there as we were big coach but the transfer back was on a cramped mini bus both drivers were lovely though. The rooms were really clean. They do lovely designs with the sheets at the end of the bed each day which is nice. However I wouldn’t book a ground floor room as the balcony is very small and you are right next to the sunbeds so no privacy we also had a bug problem but they sorted it for us. They clean the outside areas regularly throughout the day which is good as the trees do shed a lot of leaves however the trees are absolutely beautiful and have traditional hanging lights on them. Food lovely and fresh they have pizza every night to for the fussy peeps. Not as much choice as other hotels we have stayed at but it’s a small hotel so understandable. Not much choice on the hot food for breakfast we virtually lived on omlette. The afternoon snacks are served at the outside food bar opposite the main outdoors bar and are good and an alternative to lunch again not a vast choice but still freshly made. We couldn’t find any normal tea bags at the hotel so you might want to take your own. Lots of nice coffee though. Lots of different nationalities here I would say only 25% English not a problem for us we love diversity. Pool closes at 6 pm even though our info leaflet says 7 pm but that’s late enough for me. They clean the pool area every night. The sunbeds are spotlessly clean. If you want a sunbed round the pool they don’t open the pool area until 730 pm don’t even think about going earlier they move your towel. There are sunbeds near the beach which is right outside the hotel down a few steps. The beach is stoney and the sands is red hot also the sea is really stoney so beach shoes are best worn or you may cut your feet on the stones. I don’t think this is a beach for little kids unless you carry them in it’s very hard walking in and out and lots of people were struggling. There is another part of the beach to the right past the big concrete jetty type thing which is a lot less stoney and you can access this by walking along the beach passed the sun beds. There is a menu for the day displayed on the wall on the entrance to the restaurant from the steps end. This hotel has lots of steps but also has lifts so pretty accessible. There is table service for drinks throughout the day or you can go to the bar yourself. The young waiters are all very polite and friendly especially Deniz, Cihan and Bestami and others whose names I didnt get and also the bar manager mustafa. There is an outside toilets near the main bar beside the steps. People normally leave stuff like arm bands etc near the book shelf just along from the outside bar when they are leaving so if you see stuff there feel free to take it. There is no music as such at this hotel except for very faint background music which is usually pretty good and we met a couple who were told they couldn’t have their own music playing beside them even very low and so it lacks a bit of ambience. There is a disco once a week and live entertainment which is extremely loud but I didn’t mind too much. Entertainment is displayed on the notice board opposite the bar. We got a taxi to alanya harbour which was only about £6 the reception can order this for you it’s definitely too far to walk. The harbour is massive and has beaches as well as boat trips and lots of reasonably priced friendly restaurants.

Our stay at Hotel Floria was honestly one of the most relaxing and enjoyable hotel experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, peaceful, and genuinely welcoming — exactly what you want for a stress-free holiday. The cleanliness of this hotel deserves special praise. Everything was spotless at all times, from the rooms to the common areas, and you could really feel that the staff takes pride in maintaining high standards. The food was another highlight. There was plenty of variety every day, and the meat dishes were especially outstanding — perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked with care. Every meal felt fresh and satisfying. What truly made this place unforgettable, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and sincere. Their kindness never felt forced or fake; they created such a warm and authentic atmosphere that made us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. This is the perfect hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We would return here anytime without hesitation and can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone seeking quality, comfort, and tranquility.

Just arrived home from Floria beach hotel, had a lovely time food was so good the rooms were bright and modern all the staff were so polite and could not do enough for you. The beach boss and life gaurd were so funny and helpful Mustaff at bar was very kind and always had a smile for everyone very helpful. We laughed so much at the guy behind bar who said we spoke good english as we are english we were the only english but didn't matter as everyone joined in on music nights. Hand on heart we truly loved every minute of your hospitality. You have a lovely place and we were sad to leave. Also the cleaners did are room every day and always greeted us with a smile.
