Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort

Meryam and the Indian chef are probably the two people we remember most from our stay at Maxx Royal Belek in the summer of 2025. We travelled with two young children and a number of different dietary requirements, and between the two of them they made what could quite easily have been one of the more complicated parts of travelling as a family feel completely effortless. Meryam, in particular, was exceptional. We have been fortunate enough to stay at some wonderful hotels over the years, but she remains one of the best assistants we have ever had. She was incredibly responsive and somehow made us feel as though we were the only family she was looking after. Nothing felt like too much trouble. She would liaise with the chefs about our dietary requirements, arrange hot milk for the children in the evenings, somehow find space for the kids at laser tag at short notice, and deal with all the little requests that inevitably come with travelling as a family. What made her special, though, wasn't simply that things got done. It was the way they got done. There was never a sense that we were inconveniencing anyone. She genuinely seemed to care that we were having a good holiday. The Indian chef deserves a special mention too. He was brilliant with our dietary requirements and gave us enormous confidence that we could simply relax and enjoy eating rather than constantly having to explain or worry about what could and couldn't be prepared. Interestingly, the reason I am finally writing this review so long after our stay is that we have just returned from another excellent hotel in Belek, the Cullinan. Cullinan is a beautiful hotel with fantastic, very modern facilities, and we had a genuinely great holiday there. But staying somewhere else at a similarly high level made us appreciate just how fine the margins are between excellent hospitality and truly exceptional hospitality. It made us realise how unusually good the service at Maxx Royal had been. There are countless little examples I could give, but I actually don't want to turn this review into a list of spoilers for anyone visiting for the first time. Part of the pleasure of Maxx Royal is discovering just how many things have been thought about. Some are practical, such as having a shaded swimming pool that was fantastic for our young children, or a water park that manages to cater properly for both thrill seekers and much younger children. Others are about convenience. The resort app was genuinely useful for seeing what was happening throughout the day. Poolside service went far beyond simply bringing drinks and a few light snacks, with a surprisingly wide range of proper food that could be brought directly to your sunbed. And then there are the tiny touches you don't necessarily expect. I will give just one example: you can even choose the scent you would like your room to have when it is serviced. That probably sounds insignificant written down. But Maxx Royal is full of little details like that, and collectively they create the feeling that somebody has thought very carefully about the guest experience. I'll resist mentioning some of the others because discovering them is part of the fun. The restaurant concept is another example. There is one particular element of the dining experience at Maxx Royal that we have never encountered at another hotel, and for families where everybody inevitably wants something different, it is brilliant. I won't explain it fully here because it is nicer to discover some things once you arrive. I also have to mention the Moroccan hammam. I genuinely wish I could remember the name of the lady who looked after me. She was the older, extremely experienced lady working there at the time of our stay, and she was absolutely exceptional. You could immediately tell how experienced she was, and it was one of the standout treatments I have had at a hotel spa. Hopefully the hotel knows exactly who I mean, because she deserves the recognition. If I had to identify the one area where Maxx Royal fell behind some of the other luxury resorts we have stayed in, it would be the rooms. Our family room was comfortable and well maintained, but it did feel dated overall. It was also smaller than a number of other family rooms we have stayed in at comparable resorts, and the view from ours was probably the weakest part of the room. We looked quite directly onto the balconies of a neighbouring hotel, which was relatively close, so it lacked the sense of privacy and outlook that you would ideally want at this level. I think it is worth mentioning because it was the one part of the stay where we genuinely felt the hotel showed its age. But in an odd way, our recent stay elsewhere has also put that into perspective for us. Rooms can be refurbished. Hotels can build newer pools, newer restaurants and newer facilities. Creating a service culture where guests feel genuinely looked after is much harder. And that is what has stayed with us about Maxx Royal. It isn't any single spectacular feature. It is hundreds of small decisions that make a holiday easier, combined with people who deliver the service in a way that feels warm rather than transactional. There are many beautiful luxury resorts in Belek, and the standard of facilities is extraordinarily high. Newer hotels will inevitably have an advantage in certain areas simply by virtue of being newer. But nearly a year later, what we remember most is how Maxx Royal made us feel. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give the hotel is that it took staying at another genuinely excellent five-star resort for us to fully appreciate just how special the service at Maxx Royal had been. Meryam, if you ever read this, thank you. You made our family holiday considerably more special and we genuinely haven't forgotten it. To the Indian chef who looked after us so well, thank you too. And to the wonderful lady in the Moroccan hammam whose name I have embarrassingly forgotten — I hope someone at Maxx Royal recognises exactly who I mean and passes this on to her. Maxx Royal is one of those rare hotels that stays with you long after you've left. When we next return to Belek, it will be very difficult not to feel as though we should be coming home to Maxx Royal.

Just back from a very relaxing few days here. I would probably rate it 4.5 stars because I felt that the service in the buffet and Twenty 4 restaurant could have been a bit better for drinks and tidying up. Aside from that, no complaints at all. Hotel was spotless. Sone ants on the table outside at the bufffet on the first morning but I think that is unavoidable? Rooms were cleaned to a high standard although toiletries not always replenished but again, a minor detail. We had an enormous corner suite. The bathroom was stunning. Hotel next door was noisy late into the night but that is not Maxx's fault although worthy of mention if that would bother you. I found the buffet overwhelming and had to position myself so I could find my seat when I came back from getting food. I have a terrible sense of direction. The food there was good and always fresh. Some of the hot items were not that hot e.g. eggy bread but there was so much food to choose from. I loved the Twenty 4 restaurant. I was a bit cynical as it is open 24hrs but the food was beautiful, fresh and served quickly. The Mediterranean and seafood restaurants were also amazing. We paid extra for the Japanese restaurant and the steak restaurant but such good value at around €65 for two people and definitely well worth it. Very much enjoyed the patisserie, chocolatier and ice cream shop too. We were at the sunbeds looking onto the beach and there were always plenty spare with towels already on the sunbeds. Drink service here was very good. Indoor pool was so nice. Our assistants, Slava and Kataryna, were very lovely and warm. Very quick response for a number of my stupid questions and I think this concept is very good. We checked out early today and that was an underwhelming interaction from the man on reception. It was completely at odds with all the other staff we dealt with who were consistently friendly and helpful. However, this was offset by the phenomenal check in service at the airport through Elite/CIP. Absolutely stress free and a lovely end to the holiday. The lounge was beautiful but the food was fairly average. Brits are very much in the minority in this hotel but we liked that. Everyone just minds their own business and enjoys their own holiday. A very lovely holiday, all in. Probably the best service I have had at a hotel abroad but no comparison to Gleneagles and The Savoy.

I stayed in Maxx Royal for 5 days end of August. The Hotel and the area outisde is very clean. The territory is big with plenty of space to walk around. The beach is full of sunbeds available so you never feel crowded. Staff are well trained and welcoming. Housekeeping was super friendly and did an excellent job to keep rooms clean. A few people made our stay extra special: Marina and Miray maxx assistants were very quick in responding to our requests. Emre from main restuarant was fast and very customer oriented. Deniz from SPA was very professional and welcoming for my facial prosedure. And warm thanks to Tugca from LeMelange for her friendly service. The Alacarte restaurants are spaciouse, big and mainly not crowded like in other hotels, so it felt relaxed to have dinner or lunch. The kids zone and aqua park also very nice. The only note is Aqua park is not on the way to beach but on the other corner of territory. What impressed me most Maxx Royal belek provided us with fast track card in our way back in airport. We were able to enter the airport via CIP pass with related authority of airport avoiding the crowd in all doors till gate. The card also gives a permission to use Elite lounge in airport. Thanks to Maxx Royal Belek for this opportunity and attention. My personal/subjective notes: Food in main restaurant was good, but I personally felt the choice was not as wide. Near the beach I missed having a small place for pizza, burger, barbecue etc. like I have seen in other hotels. The stage for the night shows was not big enough and well orginised to fit normal amount of people. The outdoor lighting in the evenings was a bit poor which made the territory look a bit grimly. Overall it was comfortable and relaxing stay. The cleaniless, big territory, beach and especially probably the best trained staff among this kind of hotels I stayed in made it a great experience. Amazing stay at Maxx Royal Belek! Beautiful grounds and top-level service. The food is outstanding! A special note for true malt lovers: the all-inclusive concept includes premium brands aged 25+ years. Make sure to visit the Japanese restaurant in the evening - pure freshness, quality and taste! Huge thanks to our Maxx Assistants Kristina Arsaliia and Ali Niass - incredibly attentive, responsive and caring! They solved every question instantly and made our holiday unforgettable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Family Stay at Maxx Royal Belek We are currently enjoying an amazing 10-night stay at Maxx Royal Belek with our children aged 8 and 10, and everything has been exceptional so far. A very special mention has to go to our wonderful Maxx Assistants Zehranur, Samira and Murat. They have been absolutely amazing – so warm, friendly, attentive and incredibly quick to help with anything we need. They have genuinely made our stay even more special. The food throughout the resort is impeccable. The buffet has an incredible selection, the desserts are delicious, and we love having à la carte table service while enjoying the evening shows. Bishoku Japanese à la carte was a particular highlight – absolutely delicious! Our Family Terrace Room with jacuzzi is beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. The service and cleanliness throughout the entire resort have been outstanding. Our children are loving the Kids Club and there is so much for them to enjoy, making it the perfect luxury family holiday. We still have more of our holiday to enjoy, but Maxx Royal has already exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you again to Zehranur, Samira and Murat and all the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable. ❤️
