Rixos Sungate – The Land of Legends Theme Park Free Access

Definitely some good and some bad about our experience - Rooms- on arrival at about 2am we were checked in and was placed into a older style room in the main building, the air con was either broken or was just that bad, the room was not the cleanest and the bed was very hard, which was not ideal after a long day of travelling, we rang reception who stated there was nothing that could be done until the morning - fine. So after a sleepless night, we went back to reception in the morning as advised and were told to come back after 12/1 once check out was complete and that we would receive a message when our new room was ready- fine no problem. Received the message and went to see the new room and it was exactly the same just 2 floors above, air con was rubbish and the bed was awful! Moh, the TUI rep arranged for us to speak to the assistant manager and Melike the assistant guest relations manager who managed to find us an upgraded room which was perfect, with working aircon! Melike was absolutely amazing with helping us out and even arranged 4 à la cartes for us for the trouble we had. So if you’re going it is definitely worth paying a little bit extra for the upgraded room because the standard rooms are not up to much at all! Our rooms were cleaned every day to a decent standard, I noted in previous reviews that bedding was not changed however our bedding was changed everyday, which we know for sure happened as there was 2 occasions where my husbands pillow did not have a pillow case on, however we rang reception and someone brought a new one within 10 minutes both times and there was one occasion where my sons sheet was just laid on the cover and was not actually put on. The mini bar was stocked up every day with a variety of drinks. Staff- all the staff we came across were great, so friendly, so professional, so helpful. Massive shout out to The TUI rep Moh, Melike, Ferit at the Bloom restaurant and the staff at the Lotus bar in particular Hakan, Altınay, Saruhan, Mert, Kaan and Alparslan. Food - was not great at all in the buffet, very repetitive and poor quality - we were lucky we had the à la cartes 5 nights because the food at those is incredible, particularly at the cactus and bloom restaurants! The choices of snacks throughout the day were ok, we particularly enjoyed the crossiant corner! The drinks were decent with lots of choice and the all inclusive costa’s were an added bonus. My son loved the ice cream place and the different stalls within the kids area. Entertainment - was average had some great shows/bands on however the dj sets were boring, felt like they were just playing the same song over and over again. The kids area was incredible, my son absolutely loved it, particularly the games room and the robotics coding that you can make a reservation for, he actually went twice because he enjoyed it so much! Only thing with the kids area it just felt like it was so far away from everything, so me and my husband weren’t able to just relax with a drink while he played there. The aqua-park is open twice a day for 2 hours at a time, it could definitely do with a bit of renovation however was fun enough. The boat excursions were good however quite expensive, our family went on the dragon boat tour which took us 15 minutes away to a little beach area for swimming for 15 minutes and then 15 minutes back to the hotel which was 70€. The pools were kept relatively clean and we did not have any trouble getting a sun-bed however if you want one of the comfortable ones then I can imagine you have to get up pretty early to get one. There were activities throughout the day but I don’t feel like they were advised well at all unless you spend ages going looking for the daily planner which I had to do through the AI chat system but there was 2 days were I was sent this via WhatsApp. My husband particularly enjoyed the darts which was held every day twice a day. Spa- me, my hubby and my son all very much enjoyed the spa, had loads of free stuff to do and we treated ourselves to a VIP Turkish bath and massage which was amazing and so relaxing! However I feel as though the spa people walking around the pool were relentless and every time you looked up someone was there trying to sell you a spa package. Land of legends - was great, however very busy and expensive, the hotel provided a free shuttle bus that ran everyday that you need to make a reservation for the day before you’re planning to go. The bus takes around 1 hour. Only thing I would say is the timings of the bus, you have to meet back at the bus at 16:45 therefore did not get a chance to see any of the lights or experience this on the night time unless you made other travel arrangements and uber quoted me around 80-100 euros. Overall the location was stunning, staff were great and there is loads to do, just not the most perfect hotel and some areas definitely could do with some improvement. Also might be somethings worth mentioning for the British planning a trip to the hotel that there is a very big Russian presence in the hotel, who I personally found very rude, however this is no way a reflection of the hotel it’s self.

We have been coming here for many years, and every time we leave feeling just as happy and satisfied. The consistently excellent service, the friendly and attentive staff, and the amazing variety of food we get to enjoy every day always make our stay special. The hotel is beautifully located and has such a spacious, well-designed area, with something different and beautiful to discover in every corner. What makes this hotel truly unforgettable, though, is the personal attention and genuine care from the Guest Relations team. Their kindness and dedication make us feel so welcome every time and are a big part of why this hotel remains one of our favourites. We always leave with wonderful memories and look forward to coming back again.

I had great time at Rixos specially with the exclusive sports club, with coach Obi. He has amazing energy and makes you enjoy every bit of the exercises. The rest of the exclusive sports club were very enthusiastic too. I had so much fun 2-3 times daily with the club!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Rixos Sungate and honestly had such a wonderful time. It’s a brilliant choice for families, with so much to do and plenty of options to keep both adults and children entertained. A special mention has to go to Mandarin — the service was absolutely fantastic. The manager was so friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay and really went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. Staff in the Mandarin genuinely make such a difference to your holiday. The Kids Club was another huge highlight. The boys absolutely loved it and there was such a great range of activities to keep them entertained. It was lovely knowing they were having fun while we could also have a little time to relax. I also want to give a massive thank you to Ebru in Guest Relations. She was incredibly helpful, welcoming and professional, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. She really made us feel valued as guests and was always there whenever we needed anything. Overall, Rixos Sungate gave us exactly what we wanted from a family holiday, great facilities, lots for the children to do, beautiful surroundings and, most importantly, amazing staff who genuinely care about their guests. We would definitely recommend Rixos Sungate and would love to return in the future! ❤️

This place is outstanding. Absolutely stunning hotel, one of the best family hotels I have ever been to. The team and quality of everything was phenomenal. We did have an accident whilst there with my son who got scalded with hot water by another guest in the restaurant one evening and the professionalism and speed that the on site medical team attended was within minutes and cannot praise these guys including Ebru the hotel manager was incredible, thank you all so much. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough, the cleanliness, activities, food and not to mention the access into the Land of legends were fantastic. Definitely a 5 star hotel and will be returning again soon😎👏
