TUI BLUE Maviss

We have just returned from an incredible stay at TUI BLUE Maviss, and honestly, we already want to go back. This hotel has something really special — and for us, that was the people. The hotel is still new and, as with any new resort, there are a few little teething issues. Our bathroom could have done with a little TLC and there were some minor damp issues, but absolutely nothing that would put us off returning. The housekeeping team were fantastic — our room was always beautifully cleaned, the little decorations they left on the bed were such a lovely touch, and the mini fridge was constantly restocked. We genuinely felt very well looked after. But the biggest thing that made our holiday was the entertainment team and the incredible staff. ❤️ Ömer — an absolute star We really have to give a special mention to Ömer, because by the end of our holiday he genuinely felt more like a friend than a member of staff. We took part in so many of the activities he hosted, including darts, the cooking class, karaoke and crafts, and he brought so much warmth, energy and genuine enthusiasm to everything he did. He has this incredible ability to make everyone feel welcome and included, whether you're joining in enthusiastically or just watching from the side. Ömer is one of those people you meet on holiday and somehow know you'll remember for years afterwards. He is such a kind, genuine and beautiful soul, and his warmth made our experience completely unique. And his talent doesn't stop there — he is incredibly talented musically and as a DJ. Watching him perform and seeing how much he puts into entertaining everyone was genuinely brilliant. Ömer, if you happen to read this — thank you. ❤️ You made our holiday one we will never forget, and we genuinely hope our paths cross again one day. You are a credit to TUI BLUE Maviss. 💃 Mehmet — the water polo legend! Another huge shout-out to Mehmet, who hosted the water polo. What a guy! He has such a fantastic personality and is so good at getting people involved, whether that's through water polo, dancing or simply making people laugh. He always seemed to have a huge smile on his face and brought such a fun energy to everything. He has a real talent for getting a group of people who don't know each other to loosen up, have fun and actually become part of the entertainment. We absolutely loved his energy and he was such a lovely man. 🍹 Cem — cocktails, dancing and a tissue-paper flower! Cem behind the bar deserves a massive mention too. 😂 Not only does he make some of the best cocktails we've had on holiday (even when you have absolutely no idea what you want and just tell him to surprise you!), he somehow manages to get people dancing from behind the bar while still working incredibly hard. He is absolutely hilarious, so friendly and clearly genuinely wants people to have a great time. And he even made me a flower out of tissue paper, which was such a thoughtful little gesture and something I'll genuinely remember. 🌸 🍸 More amazing bar staff There were honestly so many staff members who deserve recognition. Samet — serving drinks on roller skates is an absolute talent in itself! 😂 He was always friendly, always saying hello, giving people high fives and making the atmosphere around the bars even better. Burak was incredibly friendly and a very talented bartender. Furkancan was another fantastic bartender — friendly, talented and always happy to have a chat. And Anıl, the light and sound technician, deserves recognition too. He was constantly working hard behind the scenes to make sure the entertainment ran smoothly, while also encouraging people to get involved with karaoke and dancing. You could really see how much work goes into making the evenings run so well. 🎤 The entertainment is what makes this hotel Honestly, the entertainment at Maviss is unmatched. We had dance shows, tribute acts, late-night discos, karaoke, bingo, quizzes, live singers and live bands — and the standard was genuinely so high. We were never bored. There was also an Oktoberfest while we were there, and it was honestly one of the best Oktoberfest-style events we've ever experienced. The atmosphere was brilliant and the food was absolutely to die for. The entertainment team put so much effort into everything, and it really shows. 🍕 Food & drinks The food was also very good, with loads of choice and plenty of variety. We particularly loved the pool lunch — the döner meat, pizza and chicken tenders were highlights for us. The main buffet had a huge selection and, importantly, they regularly changed things up, so it never felt like you were eating exactly the same thing every day. And the bars are fantastic. There are so many of them — swim-up bar, pool bar, beach bars, multiple indoor bars and bars within the restaurants — so you're never far from a drink. The staff made the bar experience particularly special. We had some of the best drinks we've ever had on holiday, but it was the conversation, humour and service that really made it. 🏖️ Beach & hotel The beach is beautiful, the sea was a lovely temperature when we visited, and having a lifeguard there was reassuring. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. TUI BLUE Maviss is still finding its feet as a new hotel, and yes, there are a few things that will undoubtedly improve over the next year. But honestly? We would go back tomorrow if we could. Give this hotel another year and I genuinely think it will be absolutely flying. For us, though, the small imperfections didn't matter. The staff, entertainment, atmosphere, food, drinks and overall experience completely outweighed them. A huge thank you to everyone at Maviss — but especially Ömer, Mehmet, Cem, Samet, Burak, Furkancan and Anıl. You made our holiday what it was. We were very pleased with our stay - rooms are modern and beds comfortable. We’re a family of 3 so usually it’s sofa bed for our daughter but she has a single bed and there are various room choices. Hotel is lovely, spotless, lots of different places to sit, bars ect and a quiet pool 🏊‍♂️ Pool is huge and pool bar in pool as well as slides and bar restaurant too We went during last week of English school holiday and always sunbeds Buffet was huge - roasted lamb chicken ect - sometimes it was as expected repetitive but the salad bar was amazing and you can always find something Freshly made cocktails - lovely cocktail menu plus branded alcohol glenlivit malt whisky 🥃 absolute vodka included - plus cocktails for kids Grab and go - is great for quick bite - made up rolls or juice without wanting to go to bar ect just grad and dash ( good to take for airport) Ice cream cakes and various coffees iced etc at coffee shop the cherry 🍒 sorbet and strawberry 🍓 were our fave 15 mins away from belek centre in taxi plus wee market complex outside if you go out the back gate - floats ect much cheaper Ala carte Italian was only one we tried and the food was truly awful - we left without finishing as did other family’s which was a shame as it’s lovely rooftop

I could go on for ages this hotel is NOT a 5 star by any means - the positives (it'll be short cause there is only a few) Room is Large, Clean and a nice comfy Bed, Pool Staff and Pool bar Staff are lovely and friendly but it stops there. It's not finished off, Zero Entertainment, Staff aren't trained in Drinks never mind Cocktails and drinks are cheap - premium drinks, we were either told all the time I may add....(FINISHED or YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA) There is a Mosque right opposite the hotel so 5.38am every single morning you get woke up to that going off for 5 full minutes....don't tell you that in the brochure do they!!!!!one morning we all thought we was on our balcony!!! Or and that.... you can't go out there - no light and the glass wall wouldn't keep a 4yr old back never mind an adult - very unsafe. Food...well it's just say eatable - clear cold most nights, chicken nuggets and onion rings every night and Smash for mashed potato - it repeats itself every night and the breakfast isn't any better. The only thing HOT at breakfast is an omelette but good luck with that - there is only 1 station and as you can imagine it's rammed. It was disgraceful really I've stopped in many 5 star hotels in Turkey - I know Turkey is a different 5 Star to say Dubai but this was 3 Star at best for Food and Drink even going off the other 5 Star hotels we have stayed in down Lara Beach and Side. The cocktail menu isn't even in English and the hotel was easy 60% full English I'd say and I've just come back. We ask for one in English only to be told " No English" Some of the Staff didn't understand a word you said you asked for a Vodka and Orange and got a Gin and Coke!!!! We had 3 different variations of a Long Island Ice Tea in the same night - 2 of them you couldn't even drink. If you can change your booking I'd advise you too...if you like your food and drink and god help you if it Rains...nothing to do in the hotel, they put a game of bingo on....whoop, whoop. I wish we'd changed looking back - we still had an amazing time only because there was 8 of us so we always make our own fun...thank god but I'd have had a breakdown if it was only my hubby and I for 10days. It was as if we were in a Hotel that clearly had no money to purchase good food/drink/staff or entertainment...everything was was on the cheap - which you expect in a 2 or 3 Star.

We had a nice holiday overall and the hotel has a lot of positives. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and our room was very nice. The pool area was also very good. However, for a **5-star hotel**, we felt there were quite a few areas that need improvement, and overall it lacked the 5-star finishing touches we would have expected. The **room** was lovely, but the bathroom finishing was disappointing. The wallpaper was not properly trimmed at the bottom and the lighting around the sink could have been much better. The **pool** itself was very nice, although the steps getting in and out were difficult to use as they were not large or secure enough. A gentle sloped entrance would be much better and would make access easier for everyone. We also noticed that some of the edging tiles were missing, while one of the bar stools at the pool bar had actually snapped off at the bottom. These are small things, but they contribute to the overall impression of a hotel that still needs some finishing work. The **beach and pool snack bars** were disappointing. Both were mainly self-service, whereas at a 5-star hotel we would expect the option to order food from a proper menu and have it served. Having more of a waiter-service option would make these areas feel much more in keeping with the standard expected from a 5-star property. The **main buffet restaurant** was probably one of the biggest areas for improvement. There was enough choice available, but the food was very repetitive and much of it was the same throughout the week. More themed evenings would make a big difference and provide much more variety. It would also be good to see additional fresh-food stations, such as **fresh pasta or Chinese-style cooking stations**. There were also **large queues for the omelette station**, which could easily be improved by having an additional chef or another cooking station available during busy periods. The restaurant would also benefit from a better **table allocation/seating policy**. We regularly saw tables for four or six being occupied by only two people, which made it difficult for larger groups to find a table. We struggled to get a table for four, despite this not even being during the school holidays. Better management of the seating arrangements during busy periods would make a noticeable difference. The **à la carte dining** was another area where we felt there could have been more choice and availability. The à la carte restaurant was only available **once per week**, which we felt was limited for a 5-star hotel. We would have expected greater availability and a wider selection of dining options, such as **Asian cuisine, teppanyaki and other themed restaurants**, giving guests more variety and an alternative to the main buffet. The **entertainment** was extremely disappointing. It consisted mainly of quizzes and bingo, with very little variety. For a 5-star hotel, we expected a much better range of entertainment, including more live singers and different types of performances. Once the main entertainment finished around 10pm, there was very little atmosphere around the hotel, which was disappointing and meant the evenings felt quite quiet. Although the hotel advertised **premium spirits**, some of the brands we expected were not available. For example, there was no proper Baileys or Gordon's Pink Gin, which was disappointing when these were advertised as premium options. If a hotel is promoting premium drinks, we would expect a wider and more recognisable selection to actually be available. There were also occasions when there was a **sewage smell** in some areas of the hotel, which certainly needs investigating. This was unpleasant and not something you would expect from a 5-star property. Access to the **beach** could also be better managed. A key-card-controlled entrance would provide better security and control over who is coming into and leaving the hotel from the beach. It would also be more convenient for hotel guests, as there would be no need to rely on security or ring a bell when returning from the beach. This would also avoid guests having to walk over the footbridge to get to and from the beach, making access much easier and more convenient. Another consideration is the **location of the hotel**. There wasn't a great deal around the immediate area, so there were limited options for going out and exploring nearby. Just outside the hotel, the surrounding area also looked very much like a **building site**, which didn't create the best first impression and took away from the overall surroundings of the hotel. ### Overall We did have a nice holiday and there are certainly some good things about the hotel. The cleanliness, friendly staff, room and pool were all positives, and we don't want those positives to be overlooked. However, we felt that the hotel **lacked the 5-star touch we expected**. There are quite a few areas that need attention, particularly the food variety, à la carte availability, entertainment, finishing quality, pool facilities, drinks selection, location and overall atmosphere. There were also several smaller details which, when added together, made the hotel feel as though it wasn't quite at the standard we would expect from a 5-star property. Our impression was that the hotel may have been **rushed to complete and open in June**, and some areas still felt unfinished. The missing pool tiles, damaged bar stool, bathroom finishing and other small details all contributed to this impression. With some investment and greater attention to detail, we feel this hotel could become a very good 5-star property. The foundations are certainly there, and there are plenty of positives to build on. However, **on the basis of our experience, we would not return to this hotel**. There were simply too many areas that fell short of what we would expect from a 5-star property, particularly when considering the overall experience and the standard we expected when booking. At the moment, there are **too many areas requiring improvement to deliver the experience we would expect from a 5-star hotel.**

Just had a great 10 days here. I was very worried as I had read some bad reviews. From our point of view, great hotel, fabulous staff, we had a swim-up room which was fabulous, overlooking the main pool! Lovely comfy super king bed, towels changed daily, sheets every other day. Evening entertainment was good and varied. Buffet food was as expected. Too many choices. I personally would gave prefered less choice and more quality. Disappointed you could only choose 1 à la carte, we chose the italian which was mediocre. Great starters and overcooked mains. We did try the Grill (paid for) it was worth it, sat on the roof terrace watching the Circus Show, one of many great nights in the amphitheatre! Plenty of things to join in with, water polo, table tennis, pool exercises, cocktail making, kids club, beach activities. Also had, great experience in the Turkish Bath at the Spa, would highly recommend! This hotel is probably a 4* there are minor snagging things which will hopefully be corrected when they close for the winter, nothing detrimental to our stay but if not corrected will let down the hotel for next year!
