Montana Pine Resort Hotel & Spa

Positives: Spotlessly clean room Pleasant housekeeping staff and Erdem (bar) was so polite and lovely Stunning location and scenery Two big pools and a child’s pool Plenty of loungers Lovely views from sunset terrace Nice ambience Great selection of food at all mealtimes Very pretty grounds lots of fabulous trees palms and flowers Wildlife like tortoises etc amazing to see Cockerel wakes you every morning which is lovely to hear realising you are in the countryside Negatives: Cats!! They are always on the terrace if the restaurant and will scratch for food. We ignored them but they really got on our nerves. Not hygienic. Food is often lukewarm Would have liked more fish dishes and seafood Very disappointed that on checking out we just gave back our key card and we’re not asked how the stay was - customer service needs addressing! Waiters remove plates when you’ve barely put down your cutlery Bar staff would serve the men first even if women were waiting! Young man in restaurant bar very sarcastic and made fun of us trying to say thank you in Turkish - rude! More Turkish food would be appreciated. Tiny balcony - not good at all. Could barely sit out as a/c unit was dripping Glad we went as had a relaxing holiday but probably won’t return sadly

This was our sixth stay in a row at Montana Pine Resort. It was lovely to be back, but it was also clear very early on that the hotel has made a number of cutbacks, and unfortunately they did affect our experience. The setting is absolutely stunning, with fabulous views in almost every direction. The gardeners clearly work very hard. Housekeeping were consistently pleasant and kept our room spotless throughout our stay. Positves. * Three nice pools with plenty of sunbeds, so finding a spot was never an issue. * The pancakes are delicious. * The spa is excellent and still one of the highlights of the resort. Negatives. The cutbacks were noticeable from day one. There was a lot of waiting around at the bars and on several days, two of the pool bars didn’t open until the afternoon. Some staff didn’t seem to know how to make basic drinks or didn’t understand simple requests (an iced coffee, for example). One staff member — Baran, I believe — seemed miserable and didn't really communicate. On the plus side Erme was always polite, and another guy in a black shirt who often worked in the reception bar was also excellent. White Night is no longer offered, and Turkish Night has changed drastically from previous years. In prior years, food was set out around the pool with the tables all nicely decorated, but this year, food was served in the restaurant, the same as any other night, though the food on that night was still nice. The entertainment has been reduced to just one person — Gurto (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) — who has always been very friendly. In previous years there were aqua aerobics and some light background music during the day, nothing over the top, but still something to create a bit of atmosphere. This year, there was nothing at all around the pool. Due to some of the pool bars not opening until the afternoon, each pool ended up with a small stand where used glasses were left to pile up, and it often looked a bit dirty and neglected. Overall Montana Pine is in a stunning location, and there are staff who work incredibly hard. However, after six consecutive years of visiting, the cutbacks were impossible to ignore. With some attention to staffing, bar service, and bringing back the touches that made the hotel special, it could return to the standard we’ve always loved, but I think we will try somewhere different next year.

Currently staying at this resort, we were really looking forward to this holiday but sadly it has fallen a long way short of our expectations. The room we were given on arrival was like a cell, dark, cramped and ill equipped, we asked to be moved to a bigger room but none were available so we paid to upgrade, £240. The room was much better but from day one the plug in the bathroom sink didn’t work, water just ran away, asked 4-5 times but still not fixed, as someone else has said we are woken by the cockerel at the nearby property at daybreak. Balcony is tiny, if you like sitting outside then you’ll need a Mountain suite, at considerable extra cost, but then your view is limited by the trees. Buffet restaurant has very little choice, no cooking stations where you can get an omelette cooked to order, lunchtime food is put out early and is cold when they open, dinner is not until 7pm and we found the same issue, cold food. One day I had the grilled chicken and spent the next 24 hrs in bed as it hadn’t been cooked properly, cats roaming the restaurant, on the tables, food displays and I witnessed them spraying up the display units, staff make no attempt to chase them out, they are all over the resort and judging by the amount of young cats and kittens they are increasing. The hotel no longer has its yacht, they had to make extensive health and safety improvements and it was sold to fund these, staff have also been cut so save money. Shuttle bus is a good idea but it needs to run more frequently as it only drops off in the morning and picks up late afternoon. We won’t be returning to this hotel, mainly because of the food and the cats, if you have a cat allergy avoid this place, I don’t mind them but don’t want them in the rooms or the restaurant. For what this has ended up costing us we could’ve had a cruise, so much better than Montana Pine.

We travelled here mid September 2026. I'm going to be as fair as possible to the HoteI althought we had a unacceptable experience , with comments for travellers to consider and the Hotel to improve. We have traveled to many locations and generally only travel to minimum of 4 star Hotels. Will I return...,No , Not while customer service is not a priority. Is this Hotel is 4 star ?, Then that must only because of the views and settings, nothing else. We are so Dissapointed because it could have been lovely but unfortunately it was not . The room we were allocated was ground floor block 2421-2438. What a grim dark room, avoid at all cost. At 12:00 midday you have to switch the lights on. It felt like the room was in the basement, so as soon as we entered i saw my wife's face an knew she was going to cry. I returned to the reception and asked for a room move and would pay whatever needed. The reception said "there is no availability whatsoever, come back tomorrow. So we kept going back to reception, back and forth for the next four days when i pointed out the empty rooms with excuses that we can move but not until tomorrow as alternative room wont be ready until the housekeeper has cleaned the room. I offered to clean the room that day just to get out of the basement, Then it changed again saying sorry its unavailable now. Until finally they moved us with two days of our holiday remaining "however, I saw empty rooms throughout the hotel over the next four days and trust me, I was looking. Each day we were woken at 05:45 from a cockrel crowing from the neibouring property. We left the room early each day and avoided going back until late in the day. Very dissapointed with the hotel and Tui. This seem to turn into a ego issue. Much dialogue with no interest Unprofessional and inconsiderate of people who paid £2500 to holiday in a dark depressing room. So now onto the Hotel . It really is a lovely location and set out very beautifully on the side of the mountain with some lovely views of the valley. Nice pools and acceptable amount of sunloungers although a lot are not in the sunshine due to the trees and mountain cover. It is a quite place and a 20min walk up and down some steep tracks to get to the town of Oludeniz. The beach is a 40min walk along a duel carriage way so need transport. Shuttle bus - needs to be more regular, drop off 10:00 pick up 16:00 . Far too long if you want to return to hotel, we even had people sitting on the floor of the bus and got a taxi back because the return journey was full. Staff - I agree with other reviews on here that the resturaunt staff are not interacting, they are privately going about there jobs with limited interaction, which doesn't make it feel like a holiday. The lad who serves the wine and beer behind the restaurant bar was far to arrogant and sarcastic. I even had a younge waiter swoop in and take my plate whilst I was taking my last forkfull so that some of the food on the fork fell onto the table cloth wheres the plate once was. However, the ground and housekeeping staff are interacting and smile at guests. Food - I personally enjoyed it but the wife was very dissapointed , she ate only chips most of the week so we ate out on a few evenings. Cats in the resturaunt- unacceptable, at least 10 cats romming under the tables and clawing at the chairs trying to get food, even had one trying to jump up on my wifes chair whilst she was eating , waiters and waitress not making any attempt to discourage them. Unhygienic. Entertainment- very limited during the day, as I generally get involved but i didn't see any however it does state on the board that there is pool, darts ect, but we went to the lower level swimming pool, so I cannot comment . Evenings entertainment was from 21:00 to 23:00, we did have two good evenings and enjoyed, it was well balanced and of a good standard . To sum up - 7 days is deffinatly enough due to the isolation. Staff require training, open the pool bar on the lower level all day. Inject some enthusiasm. Hire a small activities team that can interact that. Shuttle bus needs to be more regular,..please please update the ground floor rooms in block 2421-2438. Attached Photos of the room are at 12:00 midday. Umit is the best, He helped us unlike the other reception staff.

We had a lovely return visit, in an upgraded valley room with a view. I was concerned about negative food reviews needlessly - we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. We found that there was plenty of choice, well cooked and tasty. The atmosphere everywhere was very chilled as we expected, and we felt at ease and very relaxed throughout our stay. In general, though they were so busy, most of the staff were very friendly. I would suggest some customer service 'tweaks' for reception though. A 'welcome' upon arrival after a long journey would have been good, plus a late night snack as we had missed dinner. We received neither. Similarly, check out passed without any comment at all ...hope you enjoyed your stay, we would love to welcome you back etc or a guest survey perhaps. Our only serious concern was the presence of so many cats at mealtimes - not every visitor is a cat fan!
