Club Mermaid Village

Reviews are fake, this isn’t a 4 star! We witnessed staff walking round to guests, including our group asking for us to leave a good review and would stand there until we did so they could take a photo of the review. It was mainly Google reviews obviously to boost their star rating, but please don’t believe everthing you read as alot of people were peer pressured into leaving a good review. Check in was easy enough, however things to note, if you are not on the ground floor there is no lift, so if you have a pram / walking issues then you have to climb the stairs up to 3 sets depending on your floor so I’d request ground floor. We also arrived about 11pm with young children who were then hungry after a 2 hour transfer, the man on reception said we could go up to the restaurant where they serve soups / toasties etc. however when we got there, the lights were off and there was no food. We went back to reception to be told nothing he can do. We then had to go out of the hotel to find a restaurant. So just prepare if you do arrive late. Rooms are very basic, not overly clean. Floors were filthy. We accidentally moved one of the beds and found clumps of hair and rubbish under the beds. Shower is full of dirty grout and hair in the plug. Beds are changed every couple of days along with towels, however they only provide one bottle of water to share between 3 people. Cleaners come at random times, one day they come at 2pm, another at 8am etc so if you don’t want to be woken up put your do not disturb light on. Food was basic, quite bland most nights and very repetitive. Even more so than normal all inclusives. A lot of chips, nuggets & pasta so if that’s your kind of thing you’ll be good. First night we got a waiter offering us drinks to our table and then we didn’t get offered again the whole week we were there. We had a few issues whilst staying here. We put our towels down in the morning, around 7am so we could then go get some breakfast and come back to the pool (standard thing everyone does). When we came back from breakfast the workers had moved our towels and dumped them over by the pool restaurant and someone else was in our loungers (we didn’t know where our towels were at this point) so had to go to reception to find out. We went to reception, greeted with a VERY RUDE Sonia who’s response was “well that’s just normal” she also told us that if we get up off the loungers then the towels can be taken and that our towels should now be in lost and found and to go get them from there. So be prepared if you get up to go to the toilet, for food or to even get in the pool, you’ll probably come back to NO towel and NO sun lounger. Sonia was really unhelpful and when we got to reception, someone else was also complaining about something else and got again, a very rude Sonia. Both families then had to go find the manager(red haired polish lady who apologised and was lovely) just to get our complaint across as we were getting no where with Sonia. Sonia shouldn’t work on reception if she cannot have simple manners and customer service skills. Her attitude is disgusting and she will be the reason that a number of families that we met on our stay won’t be returning. Not only do the workers move your towels, they move your sunbeds whilst you are there. We had a day where the animation team get a big inflatable obstacle course out and put it on the pool, but to do this they had to remove any towels on beds that no one was sat on from that area and then move everyone that was laying there up. We then had guests come down to get their loungers, moaning at us thinking we had moved them / their towels as we were now where their lounger was. Some very rude guests at this hotel who wouldn’t accept any answer any of the guests on the loungers who had been moved up had given them so be prepared to be made to look like the bad ones. One man in particular at the pool bar, very creepy towards females, number of guests we met had said the same. We had to send partners up to the bar in the end as the females just didn’t feel overly comfortable. Another thing to point out, although it’s all inclusive. Everything is chargeable after 11pm so make sure you bring money if you wish to drink etc after 11pm. I don’t even think I could bring myself to give this a 3 star. Too many bad points, not overly enjoyable, many other amazing hotels in the area that we have experienced for around the same money for a much better experience. The only good thing is that the location is perfect, everything is on your doorstep (restaurants / shops / beach).

Location brilliant shops on sites , atmosphere amazing , lots to do for kids , 4 pools all clean , animation staff brilliant with kids , things to do everyday for kids , amazing staff , all rooms really clean ,

Great hotel only downside is the food, however we have found something to eat most meals but otherwise it’s been good! Animation team have been fab with my younger son and he has come out of his shell massivley, entertainment is good.

The food here was average but overall good. However, the drinks and service were absolutely amazing! They offer a huge selection of desserts, though we found them a bit too sweet. A special shout-out to Hamit—he is incredibly service-minded, always smiling, and acts with such gentle, polite behavior. Staff like him make the experience truly great!

We stayed here for a week and leaving today, the food at times was ok, not enough choice for English food chips chicken nuggets (cheap) meatloaf is nice and the mince in pitta bread, the grounds are lovely the shop is cheap enough we bought an England top for less than a tenner, rooms where great really good air conditioning showers are powerful and we stayed in the family marionette which had 2 bathrooms 2 balconies and a set of stairs in side, there are 2 outdoor pools the big one is the busiest, not many pool games, not to manic to get sunbeds but I went down just before 7 and it wasn’t that bed even tho there are plenty to go round and there are some on terraces, we had pictures done at the pool with pirates they aren’t too bad tbh….. there is a shop and boutique where you can buy snacks and essentials etc clothes and bags etc For trips we went on the dino safari and the pirate boat trip for 4 of us we booked the 2 trips and it worked out about £45 each, the sink trip please be aware they say the pics and drinks are extra which they are but what they don’t tell you is they charge you to enter the lion cub enclosure and then charge you for the pictures and then charge you for their food, also charge you for the monkey food etc, it is a “zoo” ? They have a water fight on this trip so they charge you for the water pistols, when you stop off they take you to 2 stops and the drinks are really expensive! £27 for a vodka slick and what they said was a half price cocktail, the effees bottles are about £5 and are like stubby bottles, the food on this trip which is included is actually really nice, flavoured chicken breast, salad pasta and bread also bulgawheat,, also a mini foam party at the end …… THIS TRIP YOU GET SOAKED If you don’t want to get soaked then don’t bother. The male staff at this hotel are quite sleezy especially hamet restaurant staff maybe a restaurant manager , they hounded us and asked for my friends phone to do the trip advisor review and ended up taking her number and sneakily puttin his in hers and then text her to go for walk so they could have sex, please be careful as this wasnt the only guest the staff did this too, the male staff also did this to a gay guest staying here, they continued to ask us if we had boyfriends and when they did get the response they wanted they where rude to us, when we went to complain they pretend they didn’t understand, us English people are quite loud here and was told to keep it down at 11pm are they would ring the police we weren’t causing trouble we were only playing a game of spy and Chinese whispers, make sure they fill your glass to the rim when asking for a pint as they are quite comfortable with not doing, they pull their face and huff when you ask. If you are to go shopping DO NOT go on the shopping trip where they offer you a free taxi ride, there is a debt cheap enough one about 10min all from the hotel they open about 10am Turkish time google oscars and it sill show u the distance it is really cheaper than the one they offer to take you to and it’s about 25mins away There entertainment could be better and it starts late for children at 9pm and last half an hour adult entertainment starts at 10 for an hour , free ice cream between 3-4pm we had a foam party in the afternoon on the stage area Other than these things the hotel is really great for families, I would recommend this to anyone but will always say the same when I do, I won’t be in a rush to come bk as I like trying different places, and yes you do get bitten !
