Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort and Spa

We booked a villa with a pool which was amazing, and the beach is beautiful. But the restaurant and running of the hotel is a total mess: the food is really quite poor and the service is chaotic at best. On our first night, at a quiet time of year with plenty of staff around, our food and drinks took over an hour to arrive. The wait times gradually reduced over the week but they were never really satisfactory - and the food was pretty bad across the board. This is particularly frustrating because there aren’t many options nearby, and the resort only has one eatery. The one staff member who was really helpful was Tram, who showed us round and gave us her number. She arranged transport to and from the hotel, and was able to answer every query we had. Unfortunately, if any task involved her colleagues, it tended to get stuck in the long grass. Amazing setting, but the incompetence of the place undermined it a lot.

We had a lovely peaceful stay, it was low season and sometimes it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. If you want a spot to stop and do nothing this is it. A small resort in keeping with its surroundings, two pools and plenty of sun loungers on the beach. The surroundings are beautifully landscaped and there is lots of wildlife/birds around. The staff were lovely and any requests we had were answered quickly, the food was delicious and not expensive for a hotel. My husband had a wonderful massage in the spa. The room was spacious and we enjoyed having a sea view. There isn’t much nearby but we had everything we needed and did go on the shuttle service to the market one day. Unfortunately beach bar was under renovation during our stay but a discount on all drinks was given in light of this and it didn’t impact our stay at all.

We needed a long overdue break and found it at Ho Tram Boutique. We landed HCMC Airport and travelled direct to Ho Tram Boutique What did we love about it - the space - the people- the relaxation and the food & wine. The property might be a bit tired, the people weren’t and we had a great break. We will return. Anybody that gives this property grief needs to go elsewhere simple.

This is not a resort if you want a base for tourism , this is a place for relaxing, being well looked after and total relaxation. We had a private villa with a pool, there are 2 pools on site plus the beautiful beach ( with a beach bar). Beautiful well kept gardens, spa treatments and delicious food. There is a set menu which is all Vietnamese dishes. There is a al a carte menu if western food choices which are delicious and cheap , ie: big steak vegetables, chips and pepper corn sauce would cost £16.00 . Amazing presentation as well . If you are wanting to see the beautiful country but need a break then this place is a must . September is out of season, they call it the wet season but it was 30+ degrees every day, yet the forecast always showed rain and thunderstorms but it never came. The journey is 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh airport not because it is 200+ miles away but because the speed limits are 40 or 60 klm per hour on freeway. Staff are very friendly, nothing is too much . I can not recommend this place enough .

Service is far too low for the price. Management has no other plan than apologizing or proposing discount for spa or restaurant which pushes clients to order from the spa or restaurant. I would expect to have a much better service. Last time I go visit this place.
