Ocean Paradise Resort & Spa

The Ocean Paradise Resort was fantastic. We were staying there after a Safari in Tanzania. The accommodation, location, facilities and most of all the staff were outstanding. Plenty of activities available including horse riding in the sea.

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff who are friendly and cant do enough for you. Manager Scott is also great always making sure you are happy and you can see how well he treats his staff which is nice to see Food is fantastic with a different theme every night along with good entertainment Also loved that you were provided with bath sheets and not the standard bath towel Would also recommend going on the free tour with the hotel to the local village and school where you can support by spending a few pounds on school equipment or sweets for the children Do wish though I had brought sweets from back home to make a change to give to them You won't be disappointed if you book this hotel

Once in the hotel it does feel like a little slice of paradise. The rooms are comfortable and the views are of the gardens with the sea in the distance. Not sure I would pay more for the rondavels. Food is excellent at breakfast and the top restaurant has excellent views. The evening meal is typical of a buffet style which can be a bit hit and miss but some good food, nevertheless. If you want to feel in Africa, it is probably not a good choice but if you want a fly and flop hotel in a beautiful location then it is great.

We went to Zanzibar as part of our trip of a lifetime, to celebrate our big birthdays this year. We were not disappointed. The location was perfect, only an hour from the airport and the hotel itself is really something special. Every single member of staff at this hotel felt like family by the time we left. We only spent 4 nights here, following a 2 day safari but we were made to feel so welcome and looked after. The hotel rooms and facilities were second to none and the food was amazing. Scott is the Food and Beverages Manager here and he has an amazing presence around the place. He oozes experience and passion for the job, making it his own personal mission to make every single person happy. His team clearly have huge respect for him and this is reflected in the fantastic service we received during our stay. General Manager Michael walked through the complex every day and was so approachable, we really felt like we were in such good hands. We are already planning our next stay here.

The hotel spa has been an absolute highlight of our stay! I’ve had a full-body massage and facial four times throughout our 10-night holiday, and every single experience has been incredible. Each treatment has been so relaxing and exactly what was needed after spending time on the mainland on safari! Haha. A huge shout-out to Mohamed, who has gone above and beyond to look after both me and my mum. From organising our massage schedule to making sure we felt comfortable and truly cared for, nothing has ever been too much trouble. His kindness, attention to detail and genuine warmth have created such a lovely, home-from-home atmosphere that has made our experience even more special. The ladies who have carried out our treatments have been absolutely outstanding — a solid 10/10 every time! Their professionalism, care and skill have made each visit something to look forward to. Thank you to the entire spa team for making our stay that little bit more special. We’ve felt completely pampered, relaxed and looked after from start to finish. We couldn’t recommend the spa highly enough and will definitely be leaving feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and already wishing we could stay longer!
