MVC Eagle Beach

The best part about this hotel by far is the location directly across from Eagle Beach. Unfortunately the facilities and overall experience were far below expectations. The hotel is old and in need of repair and maintenance. It seems to attract large numbers of smokers who sit outside their rooms and other areas in close proximity to nonsmoking guests like us who were constantly being exposed to second hand smoke, which is a documented health hazard. When we brought this to the attention of staff, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything about it. This was unacceptable. The hotel should state on their website that they allow smoking. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known that.

This was our 5th annual vacation at MVC. We are fans. Staff members are cheerful and helpful. Room is comfortable and clean. Beach with chairs is across a small street and it is clean and beautiful. Our only criticism is the breakfast has remained the same and staying for 11 days is quite monotonous. Every day is the same tray.

Clean, comfortable room. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Really like Eagle Beach: it's not as crowded and frenetic as Palm Beach.

Wonderful staff on the property and very helpful when helping me pick things to while I was staying on the island. I had a lot to do every day and each day was jam packed and fun full of adventure.

When we entered the room we sensed a strong smell. It seemed that someone tried to sanitise the room for something. No we know this was probably a failed attempt to get rid of bed bugs. After the first night my legs were covered with bites and things did not feel right so we decided to check out with one night left. No one asked why we checked out early and it was not after checkout that we pieced things together. You really need to sanitise 104 so no other guests gets this. We spent weeks to sanitise luggage.
