We recently stayed at Secrets Baby Beach Aruba in a Preferred Club room, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price point and the level of service advertised. From the moment we arrived, things were underwhelming. Despite being Preferred Club guests, we waited approximately 30 minutes in the lounge before our butler arrived to escort us to our room. Once we finally got to our room, we discovered that the air conditioning wasn’t working. Not exactly the welcome you expect when arriving at a luxury resort. The rooms themselves were just okay. We paid extra for an oceanfront room, yet our ocean view was extremely limited, and our room was situated directly in front of the main pool. For the premium associated with Preferred Club accommodations, we expected a much better location and view. One of our biggest frustrations was the lack of communication regarding the Preferred Club benefits. We paid extra for this experience but were never properly informed of all the amenities and exclusive services available to us. We understood that Preferred Club guests had additional breakfast and lunch options, but no one clearly explained where those were located or how to access them. On one occasion, we actually went to the Preferred Club lounge looking for lunch because we had no idea that Oceana was the designated dining option location for breakfast and lunch for members. This is basic information that should have been communicated during check-in or by our butler. Guests should not have to figure out their premium benefits on their own, especially when they are paying extra for them. The food was another major disappointment. Overall, it was mediocre at best, with very little that stood out. However, there were two notable exceptions. The brick oven pizza at Portofino’s Italian restaurant was genuinely delicious and easily one of the most memorable meals we had during our stay. The steakhouse was also very good, and the service there was exceptional. Customer service was incredibly inconsistent. Some employees were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond, while others seemed dismissive or uninterested in providing quality service. I do want to recognize the gentlemen serving guests at the Preferred Club pool, who were fantastic and provided some of the best service we experienced throughout our stay. Unfortunately, that level of hospitality was not consistent across the resort. Additional staff training and stronger service standards would go a long way toward improving the overall guest experience. Ultimately, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba has potential, but it did not deliver the luxury experience we expected. When guests pay a premium for Preferred Club accommodations, they should receive more than just a different room category. They should receive clear communication, attentive service, and an elevated experience that justifies the additional cost. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not return, and we certainly would not recommend paying extra for Preferred Club.
Secrets baby beach was incredible. The service was top tier. I was there for 5 nights. So many hotel team members made my boyfriend and I feel so incredibly welcome and made the already superb resort that much better. Specifically Kemar in their restaurant Tierra, he went above and beyond to make sure our food was excellent. We were a little tired that day and his energy and hospitality made us enjoy our dinner together that much more. As well as Antonio in portofino, who went out of his way to find us gluten free pasta so we could enjoy something on the menu that isn’t normally gluten free. His hospitality and happiness was so endearing.
On our first ever visit to Aruba - for a friend's wedding - we decided to splurge and book an OCEAN VIEW room. The Ocean View Room was several hundred dollars more expensive then the poolside rooms for the three nights we would be there. When we were brought to our room, we were given a room with a VIEW OF THE CONSTRUCTION being done next door (see pic). Despite speaking to the resort's Assistant manager at that time, as well as numerous emails after we got home, the resort insisted that the room they gave us was "upgraded" because it had a swim out pool. Please do NOT book a vacation here. They do NOT honor their reservations. You may be ripped off with no recourse.
A Great Week at Secrets Baby Beach Aruba I accompanied my wife to Secrets Baby Beach Aruba through a fitness vacation exchange, where she taught yoga, stretching, and mobility classes. It was a great opportunity to experience Aruba, enjoy outdoor activities, and explore the island. The resort is new, clean, and set in a beautiful location with warm Caribbean breezes. Food and restaurants The breakfast and lunch buffets offered plenty of variety and were excellent. Tierra was our favorite restaurant, and Kemra was the best server we encountered at the resort. His service stood out for its attentiveness and care. At Coco Café, Deyanira, Cookie, Maria S., Demi, and Jaed helped make our visits enjoyable. Antonio at the Italian restaurant also deserves a mention for his service. Entertainment and pool staff Thank you to the entertainment team—Yas, Ivy, Tai, Emilio, Luis, Wesley, Susu, Lisa, and Angie—for bringing energy and fun to the resort. Jared and Nykwana took care of us as pool servers, and Mandy at Oceanana also deserves recognition for her hospitality. Tours and activities The UTV tour was a trip highlight, offering a fun way to explore Aruba beyond the resort. We also joined the bike tour, which was a great workout and offered a beautiful view from the top of the hill. Both excursions were excellent ways to experience more of the island. Overall, we enjoyed the food, activities, and interactions with the staff. A special thank-you to everyone mentioned for contributing to our stay. We would recommend Secrets Baby Beach Aruba to travelers looking to enjoy Aruba’s scenery, dining, and outdoor adventures.
A Wonderful Stay and Such a Welcoming Team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited Secrets Baby Beach Aruba through Fitness Vacation Exchange to teach gentle yoga and stretch classes, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. Connecting with the guests and staff was a highlight of my stay! Emilio and the entertainment team made me feel welcome and supported throughout my teaching week. Thank you to Emilio, Yas, Ivy, Tai, Luis, and Wesley for your kindness, energy, and enthusiasm. It was a pleasure working with you and seeing the care you put into creating an enjoyable experience for guests. The team at Coco Café became a favorite part of my daily routine! Deyanira, Cookie, Maria S., Demi, and Jael made morning coffee and evening treats even more enjoyable with their warm smiles and friendly service. I loved the assortment of ice creams, especially the yogurt berry! Special thanks also to Antonio at the Italian restaurant, Mandy at Oceana, and our wonderful pool servers, Jared and Nykwana. We appreciated your friendliness and attentive service. The resort was clean and beautiful, with comfortable, well-appointed rooms and plenty of pool options. I loved the palm trees, the cactus dotted throughout the property, and the island breeze. We enjoyed the variety of dining options—the pizza and green salad were particular favorites! Nearby Baby Beach was another highlight. The gorgeous water and the chance to see sea turtles and colorful fish while snorkeling made for some unforgettable moments. What made this stay especially memorable was the people. Thank you to everyone who helped make our time here so enjoyable, and to Fitness Vacation Exchange for the opportunity to teach and connect in such a beautiful setting!
