Grand Hotel Zell am See

We stayed at the hotel in September 2026, and it was one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been to. It was clean and luxurious, with a stunning view of the lake. Great service and delicious food. We are definitely planning to return! 😊

Maybe a ‘grand’ hotel a long time ago! Now just interested in serving tourists average quality food and drinks.

This was our 6th stay, obviously we like it.From the moment we arrive we are greeted like old friends, Our car is parked for us and all our luggage is taken immediately to our room.As we enter the bar we were greeted by Jerko who seemed genuinely pleased to see us return.Our next 10day stay was perfect,even the weather was excellent.

A beautiful hotel with a sense of service, one of the best I've ever been to. The location is superb, on the shore of the lake with a beautiful view of the Alps. Clean, spacious Grand suite with private sauna, private parking, rich breakfast. Professional and courteous staff. There's no doubt I'll be back again, I just fell in love.

This holiday reminded us of what had been missing from other hotels in recent years. We had forgotten that the quality of staff is just as important as that of the hotel itself. We feel that we had been very well looked after and would like to mention those people we got to know; for example, Csenge (who gave us special attention) - the lady who greeted us every evening at the restaurant and showed us to our table; the girls on Reception, especially Victoria and Ema, and Jasmine of the Reservation department: which is to mention just a few of the quality team who run the hotel and help maintain its 4 Star Plus rating. The restaurant is quite stunning both in size,layout and design; we can't remember another to compare - for example, the tables feature double napery, the cutlery is neatly laid and came as a welcome surprise. The food was tasty, well cooked, varied and very well presented and always served on hot plates - something, in our experience, many hotels overlook. Our room was spacious, with a stunning lake view, was light and well kept by our maid: storage for clothes was more than ample and space was provided for our luggage. On our return home and reviewed the hotel online, we were pleased that the photographs reflected accurately the high quality of our experience. After many years of holidaying in Spain, it was a unique change to visit the Austrian Mountains and to be so pleased with our stay with you; as a result, we are presently making plans for next year's visit.
