The room was spacious (essentially a room plus a sort of foyer) and well-equipped. The shower and toilet were clean and tidy. There was a nice coffee corner. The room featured two balconies, one overlooking the adjacent field. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a wide variety of food. Dinner was served at the table, and everything was delicious. The hotel is situated near fields, with a small stream flowing close by; it was truly pleasant to take a walk there in the morning.

Large hotl supposedto be 4*, butfood little choicesterrible basically 2 choices or on vegeratarion. Most from the fables near us went in the bin. Having worked in travel annd stayed in all grades of hotels, I can only rember one where the food was this poor. Romania in the early 70's when it was communist! No foos or drink not even coffee or sandwich after10am,coff after2pm. 4* hotel ha ha! My wife wanted to go for a swimbut10eurofoa a towel agai ridiculas!

Fantastic 5 star stay in this great hotel . Lovely setting We had a very spacious large room 320 . The hospitality from The Thaler family is just amazing they work extremely hard and maintain very high standards throughout the hotel . Great food professional friendly staff lovely outdoor pool . Truly the best holiday we have had thank you

The hotel is just outside the centre of Niederau, a 5 minute walk takes you to the centre and a further few minutes to the supermarket and lift station. We had a large room overlooking the pool and mountains with a large balcony. The seats on the balcony could be improved but we dragged the room chairs out for more comfort. There is a fridge which is useful but you need to give it some time to make the supermarket purchased wine get the the right temperature. There is a kettle and some tiny cups, so we used breakfast cups We were halfboard, and for 2 weeks the food was varied enough, you choose you main course at breakfast. The staff were lovely and did speak English well enough to converse and we did try our Dualingo German out on them and they were great! The pool outside was Devine particularly during the heatwave with plenty of loungers and shade. The area is perfect and we had the advantage of a car so drove a bit further afield for hiking. We also hired e-bikes from the shop in the village. They do supply tetley tea at breakfast but my only criticism is that the water isn’t quite hot enough for a decent brew. Literally, that was the only criticism I can think of. The alarm did go off and then some canons to celebrate the summer solstice which was a bit of a shock and 4am!

Staff/owner not friendly at all, food was not 4 star, 3 star at a push. We had a fire alarm go off at 05.15 on our last day, some guests made there way out to the front of the hotel, some stayed on their balcony even when fire engine turned up with blue lights flashing, owner/staff no where to be seen. Bathroom was fairly new but unfortunately the rest of the room was very dated. The staff need to speak some English and not German all the time. Would not recommend this hotel to the British.
