Schwarzer Adler

From the moment our group of 16 arrived—-amazing service! The room was great and we were able to grab extra towels in the laundry room as needed, as well as a wine glass and ice. The location is superb and there is an Irish bar right outside. Quick walk to the town (Swarovski, cable car, beer garden) and the spring water from the fountain is to die for!!! A little nosy on the street side and lower floor, and most of us had views of scaffolding, but the city is so intriguing, we really only used for showering and sleeping!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The place was very nice, the room was very comfortable ad the staf was very helpful. It has a great location and breakfast is very good.

I stayed at this unassuming hotel while attending the Innsbruck Music Festival, and it proved to be a delightful retreat. Its location is almost ideal: just a 10-minute walk from the railway station, yet only about five minutes from Innsbruck's historic center. Close enough to enjoy the city's vibrant atmosphere, but far enough away to escape the late-night noise of the busiest tourist streets. The guest room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the well-designed shower, which kept the bathroom perfectly dry without water spilling everywhere. Breakfast was another highlight—a generous selection of fresh, thoughtfully prepared food that made each morning a pleasure. There is another hotel of a similar category on the same street, but it is often filled with large tour groups. I was glad to have chosen this quieter hotel, where the atmosphere felt much more relaxed. With plenty of excellent restaurants and bars just around the corner, this hotel offers both convenience and tranquility. A wonderful place to stay in Innsbruck, and one I would happily recommend.

This is a good quality mid-range hotel within walking distance of most sites in Innsbruck. We arrived nd left by train and the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the main station. At a similar distance is the old city with all the major sites, markets, funicular, and so on.

This was our first tine visiting Innsbruck (and Austria), and the Hotel Schwarzer Adler was an ideal base for our stay. We had two rooms, along with our two teenage sons, and both were immaculate and well-cleaned every day. We had the breakfasts, which were very good with an excellent selection of continental offers. The location was perfect, with a small shop and bakery across the street, many different restaurants to choose from for dinner, and the main station a 5 minute walk away, with old town even closer. The staff were incredibly helpful, in particular with public transport questions. Our boys loved the sauna and steam room (and very cold shower) too. Only slight negative was that the hotel bar was closed, although this may be a temporary thing. Not a big issue as there are plenty of other bars nearby. Big recommendation from us and a huge thank you to the team for looking after us so well.
