Hotel Harfenwirt

The hotel is in a beautiful location, however nothing is open in the evening. Rooms are basic, no kettle, no water in the room. Stock up on drinks outside the hotel. Stayed for 5 nights and 2 of those nights the food was inedible. No alternatives were supplied and no where else to get food. Continental Breakfast was a long queue especially when there were 3 coach parties in. There is no entertainment at the hotel. We were expecting at least one austrian night. Rooms were clean and the bedding was clean. Im sure there are better hotels for the money.

We weren’t guests at this hotel, but I’d seen on TripAdvisor that the sun terrace out the front of the hotel was a great place to sit and have food and drinks and watch the paragliders land from the Markbachjoch. We visited almost every day after our adventures around the valley. The staff were friendly and cocktails and food delicious! Definitely recommend a place to come and spend a couple of hours. I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The Harfenwirt is a large and well run hotel, has a pleasant atmosphere, rooms are spotless, and is in a quiet location. The owner and staff are friendly, food very good as well as wholesome and plentiful. And an added attraction is the local buses stop at the hotel. I was there on a hiking break and so didn't find time to use the pool and spa facilities at the hotel. But did make full use of the local buses, that also link to further hiking bus services. And these are all free and are covered by the local guest card, which acts as a bus pass. The local buses also travel further afield and for a modest fare go down to the town of Worgl, which is the nearest main transport hub and for those of a mind to opens up wider possibilities for exploring this pleasant area of Austria. And as an example Innsbruck and its old quarter are within easy reach. In all I found it to be a very good holiday. And was very pleased to have stayed at the Harfenwirt.

Had the best week at the Harfenwirt. The views and room were really good..the food was great, and the owner, Herbert was lovely. He played his harp for us all at his sisters place. This was in a 500 year old house/bar. There are mainly drag ski lifts here at the local ski area...some of the red runs are pretty tricky but the blues were very good. The views from the top are absolutely stunning and we will definitely return. The swimming pool wasn't busy at all and the temperature is kept lovely and warm. The WiFi is free now and worked very well. Rooms are cleaned often and staff are all very friendly and approachable. All in all, a very very good week, making beautiful memories 😃

This is a wonderfully authentic and traditional hotel with real character. What truly makes this place special is the beating heart of the people who work there, especially the owner, Herbert, who, at 80 years old, is still actively involved in the day-to-day running of the hotel and clearly enjoys spending time with his guests. That personal touch creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bedroom was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The location of our room was fantastic, with a balcony overlooking the slopes, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The hotel itself is in the perfect position, literally across the road from the lifts, making it incredibly convenient for skiing. Breakfast offered a great selection and the evening meal provided a choice each night, which gave good variety throughout the stay. What really stands out about this hotel, though, is the friendliness of the staff. Their warmth and hospitality seem to flow naturally into the atmosphere of the whole hotel and even the interactions between guests. It feels relaxed, genuine and welcoming. This is not a swanky, ultra-modern hotel, and in many ways, it is far better than that. It has heart, personality and charm. We would absolutely consider rebooking for next year.
