Hotel Neuwirt

We visited this hotel with a view to book our family holiday next year. We were greeted by an American gentleman who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would be devastated if a member of my staff behaved like this. We decided to return to give the benefit of doubt. But what a mistake !!! He was as equally rude. They advertise live sport TV but do not want people to visit. If you want a ski trip with an extremely frosty reception then this is your place. We will never visit again.

We really enjoyed our week at the Hotel Neuwirt - very friendly staff, good food and comfortable family room. The wine on offer was more than decent and my boyfriend liked the beers. I have no hesitation in recommending this place and would be happy to return for another ski holiday.

we have been there 3 years ago for my holidays with family, we stayed 1 week for ski, it was a very very pleasure trip and we want to back there every year, but the COVID-19 made it impossible. Finally we came back at the end of 2022, we met some old friends and also some new faces, all of them are very kindly and helpful. the food of the hotel is very very good, especially their dinner is amazing. the hotel has a dedicated room for heating the ski equipments. the room is cleaning. everything is same or better than 3 years ago. We will definitely come back next year!!!

We were a group of 6 and all agreed that everything about the hotel was excellent, from the clean modern bedrooms, to comfortable bar area. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and good choices for evening meal with 2 drinks included in the price. Would definitely return and thought good value for money. Very close to ski bus stop and 5 mi utes walk to train station. Train and bus links good for non skiers, with many local walking paths. Would highly recommend.

Three of us travelled to Zell am Ziller with Crystal Holidays (I had previously thought Zell a perfect location after staying in Mayrhofen the year before in December). The Zillertal Arena ski area is very beautiful, particularly the views over Gerlos/Koenigsleiten and Hochkrimml). Hotel Neuwirt is excellent, it is very modern in style and very comfortable. The family and their staff are all friendly and very helpful and ready to help you with choices for getting to the various ski areas etc. The food was also excellent, both breakfast and dinner and lovely to have the two glasses of wine or beer with dinner which were included, white wine - very nice !!! . It's a winning combination, I would go back in a heartbeat. I cannot fault the place !! The Hotel is well located for the Ski Bus Stop (a short walk) for the regular ski buses and for the Railway Station (giving access to Mayrhofen/Kaltenbach (a bit more of a walk but doable in Ski Boots). Zell am Ziller is a lovely quiet small town (with Apres Ski if you need or want it at the bottom of the Lifts) with some nice shops, a couple of Supermarkets and some lovely Cafes, the local people are very friendly. There is a Sports Centre and nice walks along the River if you need to stretch those tired ski limbs. There is some bell ringing noise from the local Church but it is common in Austria and a great part of the ambience, just enjoy it as a nice way to start the day, better than an alarm clock.
