Atlantica Aqua Blue

We stayed here last September for one week, I am only just getting around to writing a review! The reviews at the time were a bit mixed, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But we had a really lovely time here. We travelled as two adults, with two 7 year olds. We stayed in a family room with sliding doors and a pool view, the room was really nice, and clean and worked well for the 4 of us, and there was plenty of space/storage for our things, also a small fridge which was useful for drinks. The shower in the bathroom was lovely and big too! The whole hotel was immaculate and everywhere always smelt amazing and was constantly being cleaned, every evening the outside areas were being jet washed, it is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. It all looks exactly like the pictures too, possibly even nicer. I had read some slightly negative reviews about the food, but we found it good, I think it's always going to feel a little repetitive if you're eating in the same place every night, we only did half board and we did eat out at some restaurants a couple of other evenings in Protaras as we were there for a family wedding. But the breakfasts were good and we enjoyed the evening meals we had there. There was a different theme every night, the mexican one was particularly good (amazing fajitas!)! I found the selection great, with plenty to choose from even with one vegetarian in our group, there's always a few additional things for children like chips etc if they don't want anything from the main food but it was fun for them to try different things too, so we all ate well! The staff in the buffet restaurant were great, they are very busy at all times, but very accommodating, we always asked for a table outside and they would always manage to get one cleared for us quickly. Effie and Petros in the lobby bar were absolutely brilliant, and also so lovely with our children who still call them their friends from holiday! They made an effort every evening to come over and chat with them which was so sweet! The splash park is great for children, we didn't use the kids club at all as they just wanted to be in the splash park as much as possible, there are plenty of loungers around that area so you can keep an eye on them there, and they spent most days in it. Because of this we hardly sat around the main pool, but on the couple of occasions that we did it was easy enough to find a couple of empty loungers. While we were there it was both of our birthdays, and even though we hadn't mentioned this at all to the hotel, on both occasions they left a bottle of sparkling wine in our room which was lovely. It was easy to get into Protaras where there are plenty of shops and restaurants etc, I believe there are buses but we just got taxi's which reception would book for us. I would say the only negative for us, was that there was quite a bit of noise coming from the corridor outside of our room which you could hear quite clearly, we were close to a heavy door at the end of the corridor that lead to steps outside, which I believe lead to more rooms. So in the mornings from quite early on, the door slamming would wake me up, and occasionally late at night you would hear people going back to their rooms/talking loudly I'm quite a light sleeper so it was a bit annoying, but not enough to ruin the holiday. On the final day, we had a very late flight and we were able to pay extra to keep our room until early evening, which was useful as we had some extra time to go in the pool etc. Reception were really accommodating with this, all the staff in general were brilliant! So overall we had a really great time here, my Dad also stayed at the same hotel on this visit for a few days and really enjoyed it too, our children have talked about it non stop since and we in fact we have just booked to come again for a week in June and are looking forward to it!

Arrived as a family of 4. 8th April for 10 nights All inclusive. Hotel is modern and clean, pools are clean and staff are very friendly. Was not given much info on arrival apart from scan QR code. So we figured ourselves regarding mealtimes,etc. unfortunately the children would not use the pools/waterpark as they were freezing! Hotel would benefit from heated pools in early season. Rooftop restaurant/bar was closed. Only 1 pool bar open. Pool table not in use. Indoor pool is extra cost and is not heated. Entertainment was poor in all honesty we ventured out most nights. The big letdown for us as a family was the All Inclusive, we upgraded to this option which we do regret, food options was very limited same most days. No Live cooking stations, food was cooked and then left under heated lamps which in all honesty did nothing as every meal we had was either cold or look warm. We did find it hard to create a decent meal out of what was available. We spent further money eating out most lunch/evening times. Children’s options was 3 trays of either Rice, chips and 1 meat option. There was no ice cream station all they had was choc ices. We have stayed at many hotels as a family in cyprus including Grecian, Cavo and we were really felt the food/drinks were a big let down for the hotel. We did have massages at the hotel which the lady was lovely. Also we celebrated a 40th whilst on holiday and no acknowledgment at all from the hotel. Would we return again probably not but hopefully the hotel will take on the feedback given to make the most out of this hotel

Just came home after 1 week at Aqua Blue to some up gorgeous clean hotel. But miserable staff (not all) no entertainment what so ever and probably the most bland food I think I have came across. We looked forward to a Atlantica hotel like the ones we've stayed before (Sun Garden Ayia Napa x2, Oasis, limassol and Agean Blue, Rhodes) This was so disappointing we believe only 30 rooms were in use during our stay we was all inclusive yet eaten out every night in protaras or Ayia Napa we left yesterday 19/04/26 and was offered a coffee on the balcony overlooking the pool area which came with cookies was delicious and came with a smile which seemed to be had tho find amongst staff. We cancelled our A la carte meal due to tasteless food but was told it's much nicer when you book (How?) I would dread to think what this hotel is like in peak season. Big shout out to the cleaners tho who walk around singer and ALWAYS shout a lovely Good Morning and also keep the hotel spotless.... Can't say we are in any rush to return.

Fantastic location, lovely beaches and coastal walks from the doorstep, with excellent bus service directly outside the hotel. The hotel was luxurious, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds. Special mention to the wonderful staff, the reception staff who were so helpful and the catering team and cleaners who worked so hard to give us a brilliant holiday.

Went to aqua blue on good friday for a weeks all inclusive stay. Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Food was on luke warm in restaurant but had a enough choice for everyone. Pools were freezing but we're warming up by time we left. Only 1 pool bar open so queues started forming, and where 15 deep at 1 point. Bar on top floor was closed and entertainment was outside reception. Reception bar dosnt open till after 5pm meaning you couldn't relax with a nice drink until then. Bar staff at both bars were excellent and were quick and helpful with any question you had about anything. Some gorgeous bays just a short walk from hotel. All in all we had a lovely time but would wait till everything open if we were to return
