Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

We had a splendid and an amazing holiday at Sunrise beach, especially the kids club and the wonderful day to day entertainments organized for kids. Absolutely, kid friendly place and a serene resort for adults to feel relaxed. Will definitely recommend Sunrise Beach for families with children.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Reception is underwhelming, cracked floor tiles and worn looking sofas. The rooms need updating, mould in bathrooms and on shower head. Stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world, this was definitely more 4 star. Food was great and staff lovely except for the extremely rude and unhelpful man by the pool. Overall I wouldn’t stay again as I don’t think it’s worth the money but we enjoyed it.

Just back from a fabulous ten days at Sunrise Pearl. This was our third consecutive year in Protaras, having stayed at Jade for the previous two years. We received an efficient and friendly welcome, complete with complimentary bubbles on arrival. We loved our outside room (827), with its sea view, situated one floor above the swim-up pool. Fluffy bathrobes, slippers and complimentary drinks and nibbles in the fridge were lovely touches. Our tea and coffee supplies were replenished daily, along with two bottles of water. Although our room was very close to the restaurant, this didn’t cause us any issues. We were also delighted with our allocated sun loungers (185) by the adult pool, where we enjoyed the sunshine until around 4 pm. In the middle of the afternoon, staff came round with a lovely bowl of fresh fruit, which was a nice touch. We visited all the dine-around restaurants, with the exception of Kyklos (Greek), which we hadn’t enjoyed on our previous visit. We were very disappointed with Reef American Grill, but our favourite was definitely Lemongrass (Pan-Asian). Both the food and the staff were amazing! Fishbone (seafood) was delicious, although we preferred Ginger at Jade for its location, atmosphere and food. You receive €25 per person towards your meal, and the setting is quite special, overlooking the sea. We only visited the buffet restaurant, Waterfall, on our arrival evening and for breakfast each day. We did prefer the layout at Jade, as Waterfall seemed a little more congested during peak times. We were thrilled, and pleasantly surprised, to receive a bottle of bubbly in our room on hubby’s birthday. We assume this was picked up from his passport. We were able to keep our room until 4 pm, as we had a late flight, at a cost of €70. They charged €100 up to 6 pm. Overall, Sunrise Pearl just pipped Jade for us. Its location suited us better, and we found the hotel aesthetically more pleasing.

I’m sat on my sunbed, last few hours of my holiday, and i’m genuinely very sad to leave. I wrote an extensive review on my first visit here in 2016. I was blown away by the hotel then and I echo my sentiments again this time. Having stayed at many very nice hotels, some in this very area, I can honestly say this is the best of them. You cannot find fault here! The hotel is spotless, the attention to detail, the little extras like chocolates delivered to your room in the evening along with feet mats put by the side of your bed if a cooler night is expected so you don't stand immediately on cold tiles! Amazing! The pool areas are perfectly managed, the allocated sunbed system would have me return here time and time again for that alone! The buffet is not huge, it’s perfectly sized, plenty of variety, lovely quality and presentation, and whoever made the ‘hot ginger bread’ dessert needs promoting to king/queen of the world! The restaurants are great & service is impeccable. The cocktail party with management is a nice touch & very clever for guest relations. The complimentary cocktails and canapes were lovely and it was great to meet the hotel manager and other managers of different departments. The hotel manager was food & beverage manager when we were here in 2016. Not some corporate business person brought in to run a hotel, someone who knows the guests and what they need, fantastic. They genuinely care about the experience you have here. As always, the biggest asset in any great hotel is the staff, and staff here are second to none. Efficient, friendly, skilled and they make this hotel such a dream to stay at, even though it’s nearing end of season and they have been working so hard and long days, they always have a smile and greeting for you! Thanks for that goes to the treatment they receive from the Sunrise group, they work hard because they’re rewarded well and looked after, so they come back year after year, proficient and friendly faces behind the bars and serving food, faces I recognise from 2016! Well done to the owners and management for creating this perfect balance. It makes for a wonderful stay and it feels like home. Even the elevators here are perfect, so fast and efficient! Thank you to all the staff, back and front of house, who have given us such wonderful memories. We have had THE BEST week here! Hope to see you next year :)

The location is unbeatable, the rooms, facilities and food are fantastic and little touches like having reserved sunbeds, lovely fluffy pool towels every day and chocolates delivered to your room every evening make it even more special. Having said that, it’s the whole hotel team who work so hard to really make your holiday special. Coming back it’s always great to see so many familiar faces, from the reception team to the porters and housekeeping/cleaning and poolside teams to all the chefs and the team in the restaurant, it’s a massive thank you from us with special mentions for Durga, Sarlota and Michaelis, our favourite pianist! We’re already looking forward to our next visit in April!
