TUI BLUE Atlantica Aeneas Resort

The Aeneas is a very good hotel. Check-in was easy, with porters to take your luggage and take you to your room. We had a ground-floor room, which I asked for, but unfortunately it was right in front of the kids' pool, so it was noisy and also didn't get a lot of sunshine, but it was ok. Lots of pools and bars; we found seven bars. The all-day snack bar was brilliant; the food was freshly cooked and was very tasty. We spent a lot of time at the adults' pool, which was very quiet but was a bit shabby. The sunbeds in the garden needed upgrading, and there needed to be more around the pool. The sunbeds around the rest of the pools were far too close together; you were almost touching the person next to you, and you couldn't move them apart as there was no room. It was very uncomfortable, and there was no privacy. It's the main reason I wouldn't go back. The main pool was massive, with lots of room to swim and play around. The food in the main restaurant was very good, with lots of main-course options, but the dessert choice was a bit limited. It's the first hotel I've been to without ice cream in the restaurant. There were ice lollies outside in the freezer that you could help yourself to all day, but no ice cream to put on your food in the restaurant, which, for a five-star hotel, was really strange. The staff were fantastic; all the bar people were very friendly and soon got to know what you were drinking, and the restaurant staff always got us a table for eight with no bother. The hotel was very clean, and the staff always kept it that way. Strangely, the drinks in the fridge in your room were stocked on the first day, but after that you had to pay, and there was no beer, only soft drinks. We went to the two à la carte restaurants. The Green Grill was a bit of a letdown; as soon as we got in, it seemed as if they wanted to get rid of us. Everything was very rushed. I had the ribeye steak, which was very tough and not very nice. Glad it was included in the all-inclusive, as I would have complained if I had to pay for it. The taverna was very good, and we had a great night there. We were there for two weeks, so we went back a second time. It seemed strange that we couldn't go to the green and grill twice, not that I would have anyway. The all-inclusive drinks were not that good; you had to pay for anything that was branded and any decent cocktails, which, for a five-star, seemed very odd, as all the other five-star places I've stayed, it was included in the price. All in all, it was a very enjoyable holiday, but not up to the standard of other five-star places I have stayed at. We went out to eat three times, and every time the food was fantastic and loads of it. We saw the medieval parade in Ayia Napa, which was absolutely brilliant; glad it was on while we were there if you have kids, the hotel would definitely suit you, as there's lots to do for them. Very good location, hotel food and staff excellent, room was excellent, evening entertainment was average, more for the children than Adults but it is a fantastic family hotel.

Fifth time there in 2 years, love this place ,food is excellent and staff are amazing,especially the guy in the terrace bar who went the extra mile and came round topping the drinks he was very friendly. No issues with sunbeds hotel clean was spotless and would definitely RETURN NEXT YEAR

Location - Ideal location, over the road from Nissi beach (very busy) and a 10 minute bus journey into Ayia Napa. Hotel - Nice size hotel, very clean with spacious rooms. Drinks - A massive let down, the worst cocktails I’ve ever had in a 5 star hotel, cocktails (Cheap fruit juice with a shot of spirits) handed to you in paper cups that leak after 5 minutes. Had to leave the hotel to get a decent drink. Food - Nice food, plenty of options, a nice selection of meat, fresh fruit/salads. Pool - Pool is nice and clean, a little cold but we did go early October. À la cartes - The Mezze is volume over quality, the grill is slightly better food and service but neither 5 star.

Really enjoyed our time at the Atlantica Aeneas hotel. Located in Nissi Beach on the outskirts of Ayia Napa. Short walk across the road to the beach. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious with plenty of storage space and were kept spotlessly clean daily, our beds were comfortable. Rooms had air-conditioning which you definitely needed in August! Great choice of food, absolutely everything you could want was available in the main dining area (adults only area available too), with other snack areas around the site. Pools were plentiful, well laid out and clean, including an adults only pool. Children were well catered for, plenty of entertainment for them and adults too. We were there for a wedding which was very well organised, a really lovely day. Would recommend this hotel.
