Disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, felt that several aspects of the experience fell well below what we would expect from a 5-star property. The organisation and service at the outside dining area were particularly disappointing. Tables were often not cleared or laid ready for the next diners, and on occasions we had to get our own cutlery. There appeared to be a shortage, with one evening a waiter having to go around taking cutlery from other tables in order to set up for guests. On another evening, we were not provided with seat pads for the outside chairs. When we asked, the waiter went to speak to the manager, only to be told that the seat pads were at the cleaners. This seemed rather surprising for a hotel of this standard and made the outdoor dining experience less comfortable than it should have been. The housekeeping was also not up to the standard we would expect from a 5-star hotel. On a number of mornings, the beds had not been properly made, with the duvet simply folded into four rather than the bed being fully made. These may seem like small details, but it is the attention to detail that makes a difference at a 5-star property. There was also no entertainment for adults whatsoever during our stay. We appreciate that entertainment may not be a priority for everyone, but even some background music while dining outside would have created a much nicer atmosphere. The complete lack of ambience made the evenings feel rather flat. Unfortunately, we also didn’t feel that the food was of the quality or variety expected from a 5-star hotel. The choice was limited and, overall, the standard did not live up to what we had anticipated. It also gave the impression that the hotel was already closing down for the season, despite us being there during the advertised operating period. For example, the beach bar was closed, which was disappointing and further contributed to the feeling that facilities and services were being reduced. That said, we would like to mention Mateji and Dragisa, who were both very helpful and friendly during our stay. Their attitude and willingness to assist were appreciated and they deserve recognition for their efforts. Overall, there were some positive aspects to our stay, but the organisation, dining service, housekeeping, food, lack of atmosphere and closure of facilities meant that the experience did not feel like a 5-star hotel stay. We had expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail.

Great amenities, 3 pools, lots of chairs. Some things could be better, for example reception desk is not on a 5 star level. That being said, if you have a kid, choose this hotel. There are so many activities for kids, our daughter enjoyed it so much. Special praise to Mia and Barbara for taking a care of our daughter and for an amazing aquadance and mini disco activities.

The location of the hotel it’s amazing. Hotel is also nice with the 5 stars standards. We had a pleasent stay. The terrace restaurant has a beautiful view of the sea and mountains. Breakfast had diverse and good food. The room was very big and beds were comfortable Per total totally worth the money.

This is our second visit to this hotel, our first was a couple of years ago. It is a lovely hotel, nice and clean and very appealing. But we noticed on this visit, several things have changed. On arrival, we had no bath towels and rubber shower mat, once asked for these were resolved. Bedrooms nice and clean and spacious. Swimming pool area, kept nice. Never a problem with getting a sun bed. The We found the drinks expensive. The hotel advertises that it has a roof top bar, one evening they were having an event, so we went, my husband took his drink with him, that he had purchased in the hotel, but was told that he wasn’t allowed it to take it into this area. So he drunk it beforehand, then we sat there an hour waiting to be served, and ended up leaving, and didn’t go back there. The restaurant has a few issues. We found there must be a problem with spoons, one morning we had no teaspoons despite asking several times. Replenishing food is a bit hit and miss. I asked for some yoghurt one morning 3 times, and the guy I asked, looked at me like I’d come from another planet. The food wasn’t very hot, plenty of choice, but only hot if you managed to get something straight from the griddle. I would only get chips as a new lot come out otherwise they were lukewarm One evening it was quite Smokey as they were grilling chicken, unfortunately I had a bit of a coughing fit, and felt like i couldn’t get my breath, I asked a waiter please get me some water, please get me some tap water, he said he wasn’t allowed to give anyone tap water, and was only interested in selling me bottled water, which I had to have. That is outrageous that they won’t allow anyone tap water with their evening meal. Some staff were lovely and some were miserable. We won’t be going back there.

On the plus side the hotel is in a great location, overlooking the sea with a promenade full of bars and restaurants below. It’s also very modern and clean with a great bar on the 7th floor with gorgeous sunset views. The waitresses in that bar and the housekeeping staff are also very friendly. We had 2 partial seaview rooms which were spacious, very clean and equipped with everything we needed. However, the overall service at the hotel wasn’t great and didn’t compare well to other 5 star hotels we have stayed in this summer. It felt very short staffed with long waits for drinks with meals and when using the at seat ordering service. One day we waited 1 hour 20 for a pizza and salad and in the end collected it ourselves from the kitchen. The restaurant staff also had no real interest in dealing with allergies. My daughter is coeliac and when we checked in advance of booking we were told that gluten free could be accommodated. On check in we were told the restaurant would be informed and would be able to show her which buffet items were GF. However that didn’t happen, the young woman at the restaurant check in had no idea and we had to ask 3 different staff for help until we were finally shown the allergen codes on the food labels (c denotes gluten etc) so my daughter could work it out.
