Bluesun Hotel Alga

The hotel has a very good location, being literally 5 metres from the pebbly beach front of Tucepi. Our room was a part sea-view room with a balcony and air-conditioning. Plenty big enough for the two of us but, and it's a big but for me, it overlooks the pool area/outside bar. So when there's live music or, as in our case, football on TV, it can be very noisy until around midnight. Not good for a relaxing night. The hotel staff are fairly good but have NO interest in ensuring people follow the pool rules. "No reserving sunbeds" - after 7.30 am all beds have towels on them and not a soul to be seen. "No ball games in the pool" - like playing dodgeball in the water. Etc etc! The hotel restaurant only does buffet meals and the way some people piled their plates, you would think it was their last meal ever. And nobody says anything to them when they walk out with the 'home-made' lunch sandwiches. The hotel is fine for families but if you don't particularly want to be around kids, avoid at all costs.

Excellent hotel and a wonderful experience! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the location was beautiful. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations, and I honestly have no complaints at all. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Our family has just returned from the Bluesun Alga. We spent 7 nights here. It's ok. Rooms are small. The food was good. The staff completely ruined the experience for me though. They are not friendly. Not welcoming. If you've spent money and have booked a vacation, you want to feel 'looked after'. This is not the experience here. When we arrived (11pm) I was told to sign in to the WiFi, find my booking reference and email it to the hotel account. Guests should be made to feel relaxed and 'switched off' from the minute they arrive... Not logging on to their email accounts etc The staff couldn't care less about the guests. They are rude and dismissive. The cleaner audibly sighed when we said 'yes please' when she asked if we'd like our room cleaned that day. You just know if there is an issue with your room etc that you are not going to get anywhere when you bring this up. This also happened to us. The young guy who supervises the kids play room was the nicest member of staff we encountered. The pools are busy, small and overcrowded. We would definitely return to Tucepi... But we will be finding a 5 star hotel in the area and going there instead!!

Location was excellent if you only stay at hotel and beach. But little bit far from shops and center. Atmosphere was fine, everyone enjoying. The staff was good, except the bartenders. They looked like they hated the job to be honest. I have travelled alot and have never seen so boring bartenders. But restaurant and lobby staff good. The room was very clean. Perfect sized. The hotel in general was very clean, especially the toilets in the lobby, which usually in my experience is often dirty. The noise level was perfect, except i felt the cleaning staff were quite early moving the furniture aggressively above my room. So that annoyed me little bit, but i just started the day earlier. The view from my room was good. Pool and sea side. The pool area was perfect. The food was okay, but for the excellent desserts, i would say good! The gym was great, one of the best hotel gyms i have seen. Overall 8,5. Would be 9 if i would feel more welcomed by the bar staff.
