Bluesun Hotel Alga

Stayed here for 11 nights - 2 adults + 2 children. Room was nice, housekeeping made up the room perfectly every day. In a 4* property l would expect conditioner for hair. It was only one universal product body & hair. Perfect location by the sea. Outside and inside pool available. What l would suggest is to keep the pool available till 20:00 (one hour longer). Pool bar had one of the best playlist for my taste. Full board service was very good. Enough choice and good quality food. Restaurant nice and clean. Huge space for upselling if staff would come to table and take orders for drinks. Anyway staff lovely and helpful. Waitress Mary from Philippines made our time nicer with her smile. As this hotel us family oriented, l would work on improvement of animation activities. Animation staff was lovely. Overall experience was really great and we had amazing time. Tučepi as a destination is super lovely. Looking forward to my future stay in this property. See you hotel Alga & team next year!

From 23 June to 30 June 2027, we stayed at Bluesun Hotel Alga in Tučepi. Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience. €300 was stolen from our room safe. I would like to point out that the safe was locked and unlocked using our own personal code. There were no signs of forced entry. We actually had a larger amount of cash inside, but only €300 was taken. When we reported the incident, the hotel management simply told us that it was not possible. Has anyone else had a similar experience at this hotel?

The hotel has a very good location, being literally 5 metres from the pebbly beach front of Tucepi. Our room was a part sea-view room with a balcony and air-conditioning. Plenty big enough for the two of us but, and it's a big but for me, it overlooks the pool area/outside bar. So when there's live music or, as in our case, football on TV, it can be very noisy until around midnight. Not good for a relaxing night. The hotel staff are fairly good but have NO interest in ensuring people follow the pool rules. "No reserving sunbeds" - after 7.30 am all beds have towels on them and not a soul to be seen. "No ball games in the pool" - like playing dodgeball in the water. Etc etc! The hotel restaurant only does buffet meals and the way some people piled their plates, you would think it was their last meal ever. And nobody says anything to them when they walk out with the 'home-made' lunch sandwiches. The hotel is fine for families but if you don't particularly want to be around kids, avoid at all costs.
