Boutique Hotel Mirjam

We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel and would recommend. Our room was spotlessly clean with a fantastic view. There was plenty of storage, toiletries and a walk in shower. We were B & B (no other meal options) - the breakfast was the best we’ve seen anywhere we’ve stayed. There was so much choice! It was lovely to sit outside every morning - careful of the birds though. The swimming pool is on the rooftop and has a great outlook across the bay. It’s not vey big but adequate for a dip to cool off. Pool towels are supplied. There is a bar that is open until early evening for drinks. All the staff were really friendly particularly the reception staff. We were even given a little gift when we left. We didn’t go to the main beach but ventured further towards the pine walk that takes you near to a campsite. There are a couple beach bars there with sunbeds available. All very chilled, great food and drinks. The sea water was crystal clear. The hotel is sitauated at the far end of Makarska near the tennis club. It was a 5 min walk from the hotel to join the walkway littered with restaurants / cafes near the beach. It took us about 20 mins to walk into central Makarska which is worth the walk. There is a lovely marina, cafes and cobbled streets to explore. Further afield we visited Baska Voda, Omis and Tucepi. We also did a sunset boat trip from the marina. Croatia is a beautiful country and we would definitely return but not to this area, only because there are so many other areas to explore.

2nd visit to this fab hotel - looks like pics but we went to the rooftop pool for a relaxing drink and swim and a whole aerobic class came there with loud speaker!! Horrendous not sure we’ll come back - even when back in our room all you coupd hear was stomping feet and thumping music!

Lovely hotel! Staff are fantastic. Rooms and hotel well decorated. Swimming pool at the top of pool has the most amazing views of the mountains. Defo worth checking out. Lots to do along the front (walk down to the beach from hotel - very close) with restaurants and bars etc. Walking into the town also lovely for an afternoon/evening. We stayed for 2 nights on route down south which was enough for us.

If there is a perfect place to stay in Croatia, we found it. Everything about this property is amazing. Clean, bright, beautiful facilities. Very nice and friendly housekeeping staff. Wonderful gym and breakfast buffet. But the absolute best part was the service provided by the warm and welcoming staff. Andrea, Ivana (two Ivanas), and Iva at the front desk, were always quick to answer our questions and patient with all of our confusion. They helped us with everything from headaches to finding a driver to take us to our next destination. Dora and Ivana (yes there are three Ivanas!) - who start their day early in the morning at the breakfast buffet and wrap up their day at the pool bar - provided attentive and kind service even in the hottest of temperatures. Cannot imagine our stay being better. Thank you all!

This was a lovely hotel with very attentive staff. The hotel is situated on the edge of the town. Highlights- -parking (very handy as parking in the town is difficult) - breakfast was lovely and fresh - pool - rooftop views plus its open into the evening which means you can have a refreshing swim in the dark which is great! Unfortunately the air con was not cold enough for us as it only went to a certain temperature and we found we got hot during the night as it randomly turned off a couple of times . Staff did provide a fan and did their best to adjust the settings. It was a good 15 min walk to the restaurants which did get a bit tiring every night (20ish mins to port). However being further out had the advantage of the parking and there are closer restaurants so you don’t actually have to walk in every night. There is a beach outside the hotel but after a recommendation from the lovely chap who did the sport massage we took a right and walked away from the town centre and found the most beautiful beaches, far quieter and more stunning that those to the left. If only we had known to go in that direction from day one! Definitely go right!!! Walk away from the main town past the Aminess Khalini. Type Ramova Beach into Google maps you won’t regret it! So even though this hotel is a bit of a walk from the centre the beaches further down are well worth it. Makarska is the one of the most beautiful parts of Croatia, don’t hesitate to book this area. There are numerous boat trips that leave from the port they all do the same route to Hvar then Brac Zlatni Rat beach - the most beautiful beach definitely worth a day trip.
