Holiday Village Sagitta

We have travelled extensively and visited more than 60 countries, staying in accommodation ranging from simple guesthouses to luxury resorts. Unfortunately, our stay at Sagitta All Inclusive Holiday Resort was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. While the location is beautiful, with lovely beaches and stunning views, the resort itself is nowhere near the standard you would expect for the price. The biggest issue is that the hotel seems to cut costs wherever possible. The food is of very low quality, made with inexpensive ingredients, and there is very little variety. During busy meal times, especially dinner, long queues form because the staff cannot keep up with refilling the buffet or clearing tables. It was also common for the restaurant to run out of plates, cutlery, and drinking glasses, forcing guests to wait. Simple things were also missing. At lunch there was often no butter available for the bread, and if you chose to sit on the outdoor terrace there was no salt or pepper on the tables. This meant having to walk around looking for staff, or asking other guests eating indoors if you could borrow their salt and pepper. The restaurant terrace has very limited shade, making it uncomfortable to sit outside during hot summer days. Many of the chairs are broken, and the tables are unstable, making it easy to spill drinks. The hotel is old, worn down, and has a cold, institutional atmosphere that feels more like a hospital than a holiday resort. There is no elevator, and despite being marketed as an all-inclusive resort, it does not even have a swimming pool. Our room was poorly maintained. The sink drain was clogged, the air conditioning was broken, the temperature could not be adjusted, and the AC unit clearly had not been cleaned for a very long time. The carpet was stained with what appeared to be body fluids and other dirt, making the room feel unhygienic. Housekeeping standards were poor, and during our one-week stay the room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. Another surprise was that the hotel does not provide beach towels. We had to leave the resort and buy towels ourselves, something we have never experienced at any other all-inclusive resort. The staff experience was mixed. The Filipino staff members were consistently friendly, hardworking, and genuinely helpful despite being clearly understaffed. They deserve recognition for their excellent attitude. The local reception staff, however, came across as much less welcoming and at times even suspicious of guests. One particularly disappointing incident occurred when our children, who were wearing their all-inclusive wristbands, went to lunch on their own. They were initially refused food simply because they did not know our room number, despite clearly being registered guests. An even more disappointing experience happened on our arrival day. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, and we arrived at around 1:00 PM. Although we had already paid for an all-inclusive stay beginning that day, the hotel charged us an additional €21 per person—including our youngest children, who were only five years old—just to have lunch before check-in. After staying at many all-inclusive resorts around the world, this is something we have never experienced before. Overall, the resort advertises itself as an all-inclusive destination, but in our opinion it falls far short of what travellers reasonably expect from that description. Too many basic services and amenities are missing, while the prices remain high. The only highlights of this resort are its beautiful location and the excellent beaches. Unfortunately, these positives cannot compensate for the poor maintenance, low-quality food, poor cleanliness, lack of basic amenities, and the overall feeling that the hotel prioritizes cutting costs over providing a quality guest experience. Based on our experience travelling in more than 60 countries, this is among the most disappointing hotels we have stayed at, especially considering the price. I genuinely cannot recommend this hotel. If you are considering booking through Booking.com or Hotels.com, I strongly encourage you to read reviews carefully before making your decision. I write this review in good faith to help other travellers make an informed choice and avoid the disappointment we experienced. Spending your holiday feeling that you have been misled is not an experience anyone should have.

The hotel, bungalows and the apartments are situated between the pine trees. Since it was very hot it had really been beutiful. We could sleep with windows opened and listen to the crickets and the birds in the morning. We were in one bungalow which is newly renovated, all is well especially WIFI signal in all the resort. You also can park your car right in front of the bungalow in shade, It is all inclusive resort and there really was plenty of choice. We do not eat to much the most important - there was fresh watermelon everyday!! The pebble is at the beach and the sea was just to refresh - a bit cold at first but crystal green.

Wow ! I cannot recommend this hotel and the staff enough. They are simply outstanding! It was my honeymoon and my husband and I arrived back at the hotel , an hour after the evening restaurant service had closed. We were so tired and hungry but Melinda welcomed us and asked the kitchen to prepare us fries. She knew it was our honeymoon and congratulated us which was so special. But , what was really amazing , was the huge , delicious cake she offered me as a surprise! With plates , napkins and cutlery ! A couple of cocktails and my husband and I watched the World Cup in bed and devoured our cake ! Anastasia was also very kind and welcoming and Nevena spoilt us rotten. Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well. I actual work in management for an international airline which has an outstanding reputation for service and hospitality. I can easily confirm that the staff at Sangitta go above and beyond to welcome their guests , so impressive. But Melinda - you are exquisite. After an exhausting day exploring , your kindness was the best part. Cocktails and cake and your warmth was exceptional. We can’t wait to return. Thank you 😊

Not the best of experiences,although the rooms and hotel is spotlessly clean we found most staff not very friendly apart from the odd one.Food is not up to much unless you like boiled beef swimming in water and fat, we lived on scrambled egg and the odd pizza when it was available,drinks only available during meal times and if you want to drink outside meal times then you have to pay,cocktails are absolutely hideous!! Tea and coffee only available at breakfast time,no kettle in rooms so we bought our own,On a plus side the views are amazing and the coast line is rocky but nice.Not a lot around,so not much to do in and around the hotel,nearest town omis which is a beautiful town s about 4 mile away .We arrived at 11am and check in is not 2pm,you can’t have access to food until then which is when lunch finishes so had to wait till 7pm before we could eat in the hotel after travelling for 10 hours.Overall the area is very beautiful and lots to see and do but this hotel has no atmosphere,very basic,the wine and beer are not too clever and the food is awful.!!! Avoid!!

Everything is great! Hotel is on top location, rooms and beach are very clean, all staff is very, very kind! Food is also very good, every day we have meat, fish, vegetables, salads, cakes and sweets... Excellent cook from Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina!
