Hotel Plaza Omis

Have recently returned from a 10-night stay at Plaza Omis.Location is excellent,sited close to the old town,adjacent to the main beach,and overlooked to north and east by imposing mountains:we had feared noise from the nearby main road but concerns proved groundless.The hotel has no swimming-pool,not a negative as a pool can in no way compare with the Adriatic.The roof-terrace,complete with jacuzzi,of course had super views all-round,over town,mountain,sea and the isle of Brac.Partial Sea-View Room had a pleasing decor,was of more than adequate size,had a good balcony,a very good shower and hairdryer,comfortable beds and pillows:the air-con was efficient.I was a little disappointed that I did not get high floor or west-facing room as requested,but got plenty of morning sun to compensate.Room maids were very attentive,towels being changed more often than needed;there was plenty of shower-gel and a very nice body-lotion supplied.Hotel was everywhere so clean,staff all around so polite and courteous.Dining-room was smart and bright;very good quality and choice of breakfast food;at evening meal,again good choice and quality,though often we would have liked a greater choice of hot vegetables(we do like mixed broccoli,cauli and carrots,but this was on offer every day) and as with other Croatian hotels,sweets were not as tempting as in other European destinations.One thing lacking was a lounge for guests to gather and mingle.At our first meal here,I was delighted that the music was traditional Croatian:after that,we were subjected to the usual mixture of international pop:Omis is in an area full of Dalmatian culture and history:surely the music provided should reflect this?I would have preferred otherwise to enjoy my meals in silence and peace. Overall the hotel was a classy and high-quality place.

We stayed at the Plaza as part of a package we booked through Jet2 and it was absolutely great. Omiš is a lovely town and the hotel is located exactly where you want to be. Staff all very friendly and helpful, and the cleaner for our room was amazing. The heavy duty triple glazed patio door onto our balcony meant no sound from outside when shut - a bomb could go off and you wouldn’t hear it. Good quality bed and pillows. Plenty of choice at breakfast, though being a buffet, it could have been warmer. Weird trapezoidal lift was unusual! We stayed in the second half of May and found that the town was just getting started for the tourist season. Although quite a few places were yet to open, there was still loads of choice where to eat and drink and the town had a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The public bus service through the town is modern, very cheap and reliable, so you can also visit Split in about an hour from the hotel for a few Euros.

Lovely location [between beach and marina]. Very welcoming staff & appreciated the food when we arrived so late at night. Clean and facilities were good, as was the food. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. Very friendly, helpful staff and perfect location right on the beach. We got a free room upgrade to a balcony view which was lovely. Everywhere in the hotel was kept very clean and tidy. The breakfast and diner buffet was delicious.

Excellent location, friendly staff and the room was clean and spacious. We didn’t have any issues at all but I’m sure the staff would have quickly and easily sorted anything out.
