Fabulous location in a gorgeous town, away from the hustle and bussel of Split but big enough for lots of variety of options to eat, drink, walk and swim We arrived shortly after lunch and our rooms were ready, lovely comfortable beds, big balcony and decent bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. We choose to have the buffet a couple of nights which again was very good. The roof terrace was a let down with no bar facilities. The beach is lovely. Has a nice restaurant and cafe/bar area The mini bar was stocked but expensive. We wanted a re-fill of milk so asked at reception was told they didn't supply free milk and that there's a shop around the corner, in no hotel in the world have we bern provided with coffee and no milk.

This was our 5th visit to Omiš and our 5th stay at the Hotel Plaza. The staff at this hotel are excellent and each and everyone made us feel welcomed. The restaurant and rooms are tremendous and looking forward to going back again. The people of Omiš are fantastic as well.

Hotel close to the beach and central in the beautiful town of Omis. Very clean and staff were all lovely and friendly. We paid for room with balcony and sea view which was great. Air con was excellent. Free safe. Small fridge which was stocked with hotel items, but just enough room to squeeze in our own water from supermarket (the water supplied by hotel was a ridiculous €4 for 33cls!). Plenty of good toiletries in bathroom. Towels reasonable. Shower was over the bath, which was rather a struggle for me but at least there was a grab rail. Bed very comfortable, pillows a bit soft for my husband and I, but that’s probably a personal preference. We enjoyed a couple oh hours each morning on the roof terrace, lack of any shade didn’t concern us at all. Though there appeared to be sand in the jacuzzi. However, for a 4* hotel, I found it to be lacking in some aspects. For example, no welcome drink on arrival and no complimentary water in room on arrival. Wi-Fi very hit and miss, having to keep logging on. No show cooking at breakfast, so if you didn’t take eggs or slices of omelette as soon as they were put out, they were lukewarm warm at best. However, the fresh fruit was delicious as were the pastries. We had booked half board, but again at dinner there was no show cooking. We really did not enjoy the food at dinner. Perhaps catered more for the German guests, lots of sausages and schnitzel. Many items had very vague descriptions eg peppers stuffed with minced meat, filo pastry stuffed with minced meat (I would rather know exactly what meat on offer!). Most nights we just had 2 bowls of soup (mostly tasty except for the beef and chicken soups which tasted as though a couple of oxo cubes had been dragged through hot water) and picked at the salads with the odd slice of luke warm pizza. We enjoyed sitting with a drink at the outside bar after dinner. In particular, the lovely friendly waitress Lucijana (hope I’ve spelt that properly). Was a bit surprised that the bar shut at 10,30, but not a massive problem as plenty of bars nearby. Would recommend the boat trip down the Cetina river canyon and the boat over to Brac Island was excellent value.
