Hotel Saudade

This boutique hotel is one of the best my wife and I ever stayed at (for the second time). We spent, together with my in-laws (both 86), three nights at this wonderful place. The view from room #404 is spectacular. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of healthy items. We had twice dinner at restaurant Fado which belongs to the hotel - superb (fish the first night and veal peka the second night, the peka dish has to be ordered the day before). The wine offerings are limited but the ones we've tried were excellent (Dingač and Pošip). Last but not least, the staff. Starting with Miro and Darija at the reception, Niko at the bar and Alba, Andela, Nera and Mate in the restaurant - all did a fantastic job! Hvala! We'll be back.

Booked two weeks at Hotel Saudade in mid September. I had reservations before we arrived that two weeks in such a small town ( Gradac ) might be too long. However my reservations were not founded. The welcome we got together with the quality of the hotel it’s location and food provided made us sorry to leave. It’s the staff associated with the hotel however that are the real stars. Nothing is too much trouble, even helping resolve car rental problems that had nothing to do with the hotel .

Gradac Gem :outstanding 5 stars 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 What can I say- save outstanding in every way. This is a 28 room hotel perfectly situate on the beach front in a lovely little place called Gradac on the Makarska Riviera .Most people select Split or Dubrovnik for their holiday destination .This pretty place is where to come for a real “get away from it all “ holiday. The views are simply breathtaking. Try and go for the rooms overlooking the sea front ( rather than side view ) to afford a spectacular view. The rooms are spacious and Immaculately clean; Free Parking- a godsend; free loungers/beach towels. The food is absolutely incredible.The breakfast has a large choice of good quality food and healthy options too.( nuts and seeds ) with fresh fruit varied daily ! even honeycomb The dinners are wonderful. Beautiful Presentation -Recommend the swordfish -cooked to perfection. The staff bend over backwards to be helpful- and this is the reason why this place is regularly awarded excellent reviews .Miro is outstanding. He effortlessly switches from Croat to German to English .Dariya at Reception is charming ;everyone works as a team and their combined customer care skills will ensure that this Hotel remains top of the list in Gradac and indeed in Split. We made a mistake in our booking, the hotel changed me 100€ extra despite the hotel had a free room. No customer service, business first. The hotel is offering a good standard but it’s boring. The service level is up and down.

We were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary on this holiday. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we are well travelled. It was perfect for us in every way, n a beautiful location at the quieter end of Gradac right next to the beach. We had very comfortable room with everything we needed and a beautiful view from our private balcony. The food was excellent, we stayed on a half board basis and for the evening meal there was plenty of choice for each course wich was waiter served. What made this hotel so special was the wonderful staff. They were all friendly, helpful and professional. Special thanks go to Ivan, Mate and Andela, the reception staff, room maids and Darko who attended the beach and sun loungers. One of the highlights of our stay was eating out evening meal overlooking the sea with gentle background music playing and another was sitting on our balcony looking at the stunning scenery and watching the beautiful sunsets. Thank you Hotel Saudade and Gradac for one of our best holidays ever. You well deserve your 5 stars on trip advisor.
