Hotel Villa Dvor

Simply, why would you stay anywhere else in Omis? (and probably Split for that matter). This place sits on top of the hill looking down into Omis and the river outlet to the sea on one side and up the river gorge on the other side. We had a great room with a balcony facing the river gorge. The desk hosts were informative, helpful, spoke very good English - and gave us local and hotel history. The restaurant was as good as anything we have had traveling Europe - nice outside area looking out to sea (and reasonably priced). Excellent service. Breakfast in the same place was a very good buffet. You come in down a long tunnel and up an elevator with a glass wall that you see out once it clears the rocks.... On top of all that - take a river cruise up the Cetina. Only about 45 minutes each way - spectacular gorge.

Fantastic hotel. Great location and very unique. Great staff absolute credit to you. Our only issue was the shower wasn’t great. It was mostly cold to lukewarm at best with the odd bit of warmth every now and then. We did mention this but it seems this is the norm. Our room didn’t have a balcony which was disappointing but had a great view though. It would’ve been nice to sit out and admire the view but not the end of the world. Would’ve helped also to be able to dry off beach wear from the day as there was no where to do this in the room. The wine is a family vineyard and probably the best we tasted so definitely worth having a bottle (or two). Same for the rakije it was so smooth and tasted amazing . We used the jacuzzi which was lovely so definitely worth booking a slot for that. Staff were very helpful in explaining how everything worked etc Overall lovely place just get a balcony.

Omis is an absolute gem on the Adriatic coast and we are so delighted we found it. The Hotel Villa Dvor is a simple but lovely hotel overlooking the town, set in an amazing location against the cliffs, with stunning views over the Cetina river and out to sea. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, and there is a nice friendly atmosphere. It makes a perfect place to stay for enjoying Omis, exploring the local mountains and beaches and generally enjoying Croatia. There is a good breakfast provided, which you can eat on the terrace overlooking the old town and river as it flows down to the sea. We went towards the end of the season (last week of September) and the weather was perfect - clear sunshine all day but not overwhelmingly hot (around 25C each day.) It was also a bit quieter - a perfect time to visit. I expect we will be returning because between the hotel and the town of Omis, we had everything we wanted for a week away in beautiful Croatia.

This was our 4th time in this hotel and we love is very much. We already plan next year's vacation here. :)

Great stay for a week, amazing location, staff very friendly, great breakfast. Room cleaned only when we asked which was a great environmental consideration. Would recommend as a place to stay in Omiš.
