Marvie Hotel & Health

Located around 25 mins (by foot) from the centre of Split, this hotel is set in a quiet location with magnificent views over the marina to neighbouring islands. Hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly, the bedroom was huge and well-appointed with a large walk-in shower and plenty of shelf space for toiletries. We had dinner there one evening and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Reception will book you a taxi to the centre (10 euros) or get an Uber (under 4 euros) to the town or the port. Split is a great base for tours - we took a catamaran trip to Hvar and got the local bus to Trogir.

We stayed at this hotel for ten days on a half-board basis and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and have all the amenities you could need. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The roof terrace and pool is lovely, although I'm sure it gets a little crowded in high season. Food at both breakfast and dinner was of high quality and we really enjoyed all our meals. It's about a 25-30 minute walk into Split, maybe a little longer if you go by the coastal path, but it's a much nicer walk. We often got an Uber back, which cost around €5.00. Don't be tempted to use the ordinary, local taxis - we were quoted €20 -25 for the same journey! We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily stay here again ourselves.

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. The first thing that we noticed was the lovely smell as we entered reception. We were greeted by Tomislav who checked us in and made suggestions for places to eat in Split. We tried both restaurants during our stay and they were excellent. The location was good for us as we could walk the coastal path into split in about 30 minutes and the more direct street walk in 20 minutes. We also used Uber as we often went back in the evening to eat. Uber works really well but there is an additional charge for drivers if the drop off is at the Riva of €4 which forms part of the charge. Being dropped off away from this area meant we only paid between €4 and €5 euros for each trip plus whatever tip you add. The hotel has a small rooftop pool with seating which we visted a few times during our stay. There was enough seating when we visited but could imagine it being very busy as the season gets busier. There is also a spa and treatment area on the ground floor. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and again staff are really friendly. We had a room on the 5th floor and when booking had chosen to have a balcony. Was so nice to wake up to the lovely view. We could continue to use the facilities once checked out as our flight was later in the day. Loved our stay.

During May 2025, I had the pleasure of celebrating my 60th birthday at Marvie Hotel & Health, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional staff. Every member of the team was warm, polite, professional, and always willing to help, which made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast. While the selection was largely similar each day, the quality and freshness of the food were consistently very good. One of the highlights of the hotel was its wellness facilities—the indoor pool, sauna, and spa were excellent. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind during free time after sightseeing. The location of the hotel is another big advantage. It is close to the sea, with several excellent restaurants and convenient stores all within walking distance. The historic center of Split, including Diocletian's Palace and the Riva Promenade, is only about a 10-minute drive away. At the same time, being closer to the beach meant we could enjoy a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere, with lovely seaside spots and charming beach shacks along the waterfront. Overall, it was a memorable birthday celebration, and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split who is looking for comfort, relaxation, and genuine hospitality.

My wife and I stayed here on April 16-April 18, 2026. Gorgeous hotel. Rooms are big, open, spacious and beautiful. We had a Classic Double room. The view wasn't as spectacular as the other hotels we stayed at in Croatia, but the hotel is wonderful. If you are going to Split to tour their Old Town, this is the place to be. Parking is convenient under the hotel. Elevator to the level you parked. Easy walking distance to the Old Town. The hotel seems like it is brand new inside. The rooms are clean, neat, updated, sparkling. The halls are tile and neat as a pin. Even the stairwell we used was gorgeous. The gym was really very good. If I hadn't just came from a Hotel with a completely superior gym, I would have said this gym was excellent. The indoor pool is beautiful. There is a finnish sauna and a steam sauna. Both excellent. A great jacuzzi and more. I would suggest, when you check in, go look at their facilities and include some of them beyond your trip to see Old Town. Old Town is awesome but come back to the hotel and unwind in the saunas, pool and jacuzzi. Phenomenal. The breakfast at this hotel was second to none on our 10 day tour of coastline Croatia. That is saying a lot because every breakfast we had in Croatia was really very good. This place was number 1.
