Valamar Amicor Resort

We stayed here for 10 nights as a family of 3 which was lovely. Great resort for families. Although our little one was too young to be left at the children's club, the service they offered was amazing. The only downfall to our stay was our last day fell on the day the resort was closing for the season. This added to what felt like a rushed and pushy checkout. If we were to stay again we would make sure it wasn't right at end of the season. The vibe was strange. Our airport pickup with jet2 wasn't for several hours after we needed to leave. When we explained this to the reception staff, the response we received was poor. We paid a lot of money to stay here and travelling with a baby. It would be better for guests that the resort closed after guests had left (the following day) to offer a more overall pleasant, but relaxed experience.

The place is very well organised, so pretty and clean. The staff is absolutely astounding, Nikolina, Ante and Yunanta are the best people in the resort and it's seen the effort they put in to make this an experience no one will forget. The Maro Club is such a great idea for the younger part of the resort. The villas are really tidy and clean and room service is excelent. I ordered two cappucinos and they came in really fast. The restaurant has an abundance of options for everyone and the water park is very fun for all ages. Will recomend.

Villas very tidy, comfort and spacious. Food and service is amazing. My child loved the pool, especially small one. Ice cream one of the best I ever tried.

We just finished a fantastic 9 night family holiday at the resort. Overall it was a brilliant holiday and we would certainly come here again. The villa rooms were lovely. Well designed, spacious and private. We enjoyed being able to sit outside the villa while the children were on their separate little room. It was great to have a little fridge to keep drinks in. There was even a microwave. Comfortable beds and a choice of pillows. The pools were great for families. Lots of beds right around the pool to keep an eye on the children. The range of pools was also great for families. From a baby pool to a deep pool with slides for all ages. Our children loved the high flumes which are like a mini water park. We enjoyed the fitness activities which were nearly all included. Including the morning workouts, football tournament, tennis, etc. The hotel is half board. We enjoyed the buffet. As a mixed vegetarian and vegan family we got by well. There was non-dairy milk and labelled vegan items each day. The range wasn’t huge, but it was enough. The staff were helpful and often custom cooked pizza and pasta for our needs. My only point for improvement is the price of the drinks (which aren’t included), I felt they were too expensive compared to the local area. Beers were served only about 2/3 full in the glass, which didn’t represent good value for the price. The kids club was casual and fairly unstructured, which worked fine for our children. They could just drop in to play on the consoles or do some construction. The kids club is spacious and very well equipped. The island is beautiful and very unspoiled. The sea is completely clear and very safe to swim in. Just a 15min walk or 5min water taxi to get into the town of Stari Grad. The staff were all fantastic and provided great service. There’s a few members of staff that I’d particularly thank. Dusan, the fitness instructor, he was fantastic - motivating and good fun to work out with. The chef, Sebastijan, was very kind and accommodating - he often cooked dishes for our vegetarian and vegan diets. Finally, Yunata, one of the servers was so kind, helpful and friendly. An incredible resort! Fantastic well appointed and immaculate villas in beautiful surroundings. A short walk into the lovely town of Stari Grad, also accessible by a very convenient water taxi. Fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of amazing fresh food. The grill garden was a particular highlight, beautifully lit up in the evenings. Wasps are an issue (not the hotels fault) earlier in the evening but post 8 o’clock they disappear so worth waiting to enjoy dinner a bit later. So much to do for children and families of all ages. Particular highlights were the pool and slides, outdoor cinema, kids disco and facilities in the fantastic Maro club. We could not fault any part of this holiday and would highly recommend Valamar Amicor.
