Zaton Holiday Resort

Great resort for a family with teens. We stayed with Eurocamp and as a campsite it’s unusual but good. It’s huge and while the mobile home area feels like a traditional campsite the beach area is more like a holiday town with beach bars, water sports and restaurants. Because the site is huge it’s worth getting a bike or e scooter to get around (book in advance recommend Nin bike hire). Location is great for towns in walking distance and to explore the wider area - cliff jumping and kayaking plus boat trips. Once you get your head round the fact it’s a resort and not a campsite where everything is included it makes sense - if you want a lounger you have to pay but you can always get one, you can move in the same area or you can use the free benches or put a towel on the sand. I’d definitely return.

Everything is perfect. The staff are friendly, the mobile homes are new, spacious and fully equipped. There’s a huge selection at breakfast, and everything is delicious. The swimming pools, the beach, the restaurants – everything is first-class. Highly recommended for families.

We went there for 3rd time. Normally we don't go to the same places. Appartments are best joice for me, but they have many options to choose from.

Having spent a week here I’d like to give a fair account. In summary, I wouldn’t recommend it and it’s interesting to say that as there are positives but the negatives out weigh that. To concept of having to pay for sunbeds (€46 for 4) at the pool does remove the need to dash down to secure beds. However it means you are essentially stuck there. There is no where to put a towel down so you either pay for sunbeds or you stand of put a bag on the ground. The two pool areas are miles apart so you can’t say get a base at one and run up to the other. As a result we never went to the second pool, the one with the two slides. We wouldn’t have minded paying for beds if you could then use this payment voucher to move to a new location on beach or another pool. The beach is like a city beach, not great with large concrete steps going into water (other than at far end quite a bit from pool). It’s very narrow so no room for towels really so again looking for people to rent sun beds. I would say then each is just OK and as beach people we didn’t enjoy too much only went two times for a swim. All the restaurants serve the same food (and it’s not great, over priced). Bizarre that restaurants don’t take bookings or walk ins after 8.30/45-9pm. We tried all the restaurants one evening after crazy gold at 8.45-9.05 - tonnes of empty tables and were told kitchen close at 9 etc, they all said it is the same in every restaurant! We had to leave the site to get food as literally couldn’t get food. The take out ran out of pizzas etc (probably as all the restaurants are closed!!). The reception desk claimed not to know about this. The crazy golf was crazy money!! €12 per person. The resort of so spread out we didn’t feel part of a campsite. Hard to describe. Kids on electric scooters is a joke. Hazardous. It’s clean. No staff anywhere, no information boards, no information on check in. From our location walk to Nin was 30 mins so it’s not the easy 15 mins others say!!! Depends on where you are in site. Staff are generally unseen. The Buffet breakfast for Glamping village is lovely (different to regular campers) but the staff are very unfriendly and unhelpful. I pointed out spilled food and butter on floor and they didn’t even bother to clean up. The area up around Eurocamp a with petting zoo etc is very run down. The petting zoo was a couple of goats and two geese. The beachfront pools were lovely. However the other pool was too far away to use (as again, we would have no where to sit !) two slides for a campsite this side is too little and queues were v long. Sorry, won’t recommend and won’t be back.

A wonderful experience, the restrooms are always efficient and extremely clean. The staff is friendly, and numerous services are available.
