Aminess Port 9 Residence

We have been at Aminess Prot 9 resort for 5 days in Avgust. We had breakfast and dinner in Oliveto restaurant. Hotel rooms are very clean, it is enugh space for everything. The balcony has two chairs and a little table and also little hanger for wet swimsuit and other things to dry. Food is very good, you have a big asortiman of different dishes, everythnig is very fresh. Weighters are very nice, they love children. There are many baby chairs. The dinning room and terrace are so cute. You have a nice view of the sea, pools and sunset. At dinner time and breakfast there is always shadow at the terrace. We have also tryed other restaurants in the resort and have been very setisfeid with all other food and drinks. My recomendation is Chefs toast. Very good. Rooms are spacius. We had their baby bad in the room. Baby bad was very clean it had its own bad sheits and a blanket. There is a enaught space to put away all the things. The bathroom is alweys clan, you can get fresh towells every day. There is a lot of space for all the cosmetic products. There is also a fan for hair. In the bathroom there is a shower gel, hand gel and a shampooo. Their staff is incredably nice. The weighters, receptionists, the cleaning leadis, people at the pool... Everybody is ready to help with every thing. The resort has 3 pools (1 with seawater, 1 baby pool, 1 infinity pool with a bar), it has sun beds (some for free, some to pay), you can get fresh towels for the pool every single day. The towels are very clean and soft. There is a toilet at the pool. The public toilet is also very clean all of the time. The guys working at the pool are drying the floor frequently so it is never to slipery. The resort has so meny activities thru the day. From aqua aerobics, pilates, meditation, workouts to kids animaton. The animators are very nice, alweys in a good mood and always ready to help. They have so much energy and do every activiti very mindfully. They are the best animators. Every evening there is a Mini disco at the beach where they give their all. The baby room is never a mess. Everyting has its own space and they tidy it frequently. In the baby room there is also a changing table. There is many toys for babys and smaller children so they are entertaind for a long time. The room is also babyproffed. So we have been very very setisfied with out stay at Aminess Prot 9 resort. We recomend it expesaelly for families with smaller children (0-15). We will definetly return next year.

There's much to love about this place, but a few bits that were less great. First, the location! Stunning! And Korcula is a gorgeous island. The resort is well situated and has incredible views. We stayed in the residence (so self catered) and the apartment was small (2 adults and 3 kids in a one bedroom apartment which is largest they seem to do) but fine. I'm not sure what it's trying to be really-it was fairly shabby, with stains on all the walls, scuffs everywhere, stains on the curtains etc...and then they had lovely rituals products in the bathroom 😂 The staff were very nice. When we arrived v late the night receptionist was super friendly and made a comment of the fact that as it was now past midnight it was my son's 8th birthday. He kindly said he would ensure something was sent to our room to acknowledge this...nothing ever appeared 😂😂 We arrived (after a late landing flight and long, hot transfer) at about midnight. Every single thing was closed. There was not even a vending machine to buy drinks/water and it was HOT! we lugged all our cases to the room and obviously the fridge and AC had been off all day so it was boiling. The only water available was the (warm) water from the tap. It was a long and stuffy night so make sure you stop and find some drinks at the airport, regardless of how keen you are to find your transfer! One thing we struggled with was the lack of things to do or places to eat on an evening. It's so hot that we adopted our usual European nap in the afternoon and then head out for food at 7ish. Everywhere at port 9 stops serving by 7 (unless you are in the hotel and the restaurant stays open later. You can pay €40 per person to eat there if desperate but we heard not great things about the food and for a family it's obviously pricey) To eat on an evening you have to go to Korcula town on a water taxi (which was €30 return for our family each evening) and there are some gorgeous restaurants on the old town overlooking the sea. Truly stunning. The activities for kids are a little lacklustre, even in peak season. A 30 minute 'mini disco' which is Definitely not aimed from kids over 6 was the only offer. There was a 'pool party' we were looking forward to but it ended up being 30 mins of aqua fit followed by a single, 30 min game of hot potato. We hate busy, over touristy European resorts but this was slightly too far the other way for us. The swimming and snorkeling was incredible (bringing your own water shoes and snorkel gear is a must!) and we found so many amazing things to look at. The beach bar Peyton (400 ft from our apartment down a track) was the best bit of our holiday. Food and drinks super cheap (€2 for a glass of delicious cold white wine) and the chicken burger and steak was so tasty. Great space to swim in a small bay with the kids in sight at all times. Really special. But no food in the evening. We did a boat trip around some of the islands with grilled fish and meat cooked for us on board. Was really special. A few other random things- the pool (which was generally impossible to get space at unless you queued at 9am) had a nice swim up bar but also QR codes on the tables where you could also order food and drinks to the table. We ordered a couple or drinks (and paid) but they never came. When I went to ask at the bar the girl told me off for having done so (we don't have that!) which makes me wonder why they don't remove the QR codes 😂 They also advertised a dessert/smoothie/ice cream bar which we were looking forward to, but it never opened throughout our 10 day, peak season holiday which was a shame.

This hotel is great from the second we arrived until we left . I don’t understand the low rating as we found it to be excellent . The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . We had a 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom apartment/villa. The accommodation was fabulous, clean modern & specious . The beds were very comfortable, had everything we needed , including good aircon . Good buffet breakfast . Everything is close by , 2 lovely pools , bars, the beach , plenty of sea to swim in . Taxi boats running every 30 mins to town. We had an excellent and pleasant stay and would highly recommend especially if you had children ( we didn’t ) .

We spent here a very relaxing holliday. Apartment is spacious, clean, full equiped for a familly with terace in a shaddow. It is located on the beach with few bars and pools. Also there is a taxi boat if you want to go to the city fast.

A vast hotel with different sections. We had a wonderful view of the sea. All of the staff we have encountered from reception, to waiting staff and cleaners are very friendly inspite of working in such heat. The sea taxi is a fun treat. The walk to korcula old town is also lovely but super hot. We have loved our stay and would love to come back.
