Hotel Croatia

This is a huge hotel which combines leisure and business customers attending on-site conferences. We had a sea view room with balcony and the views were beautiful. Turn down service starts early and if you are still getting ready they don’t always return. We were there for 4 nights and on 2 occasions this happened. There are a lot of steps down to the village so the courtesy golf buggy is helpful. The dining room resembles a school dining hall and it is busy at peak times. Staff are quick to serve coffee. A range of options for breakfast provides something for everyone. Personally, I thought the dining room lacked any atmosphere. The bar in the evening had no ambience at all. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the Spinaker restaurant on the beach was good with a good choice of food.

Hotel coatia was just amazing. We couldn't fault it in any way. Location was brilliant and fantastic view. The rooms were outstanding and couldn't ask for anything else. Mini bar, veranda looking over ocean. Staff were lovely and a special mention to Ana at reception who made our stay so memorable ❤️. The whole holiday was brilliant and cannot wait to go back to this hotel. Can highly recommend Hotel Coatia as you will not be disappointed.

The rooms were very nice, clean and modern. We felt the check in could have been better as we were not informed of the charge on the mini bar in the room and also not informed of the buggy service. Breakfast wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best. Better bacon and sausages needed for a full English. The pool was very shaded and not to be used if you want to sunbathe so we spent most of our time round the sea, the only problem with this is the journey back up to the room is lengthy without the buggies so needed to make sure nothing was forgot. Sometimes on holiday we like to pop back into the room to freshen up before lunch but felt we couldn’t do that here as the treck back up to the room was too long.

We have stayed in June as a couple. Hotel amenities There are plenty of things to take advantage of. The pool outside and inside are really nice. We struggled to get sunbeds any day at all however, we found that the sunbed chairs at the beach were more comfortable, private and breezy. The food and drink is on the pricy end however, this is a hotel and it’s not terribly different to the price in the town. The service in the pool bar was super slow every day, , the staff can’t seem to keep up, we sat down at the only available table which has the last persons plates and glasses on there, we ordered and waited for them to clear it which they didn’t, they then tried to serve our food with the old plates still on the table. They did clear them when we asked. There is a handy buggy taking people to and from the bay which is very useful. The rooms The room is modern, comfortable and cleaned daily. Loads of shower gels, shampoos and bits and bags which you always forget. Staff are attentive and friendly. Location The hotel itself is genuinely really nice, just a short distance to the airport so your holiday can start right away. Cavtat is a few mins walk away but all very downhill and lots of steps, take the buggy if you don’t do well with steps. Cavtat is really nice. Plenty of restaurants, all much of a muchness to be fair but didn’t have a bad meal once. Dubrovnik is about 25 mins away, about £18 in an uber or a 45 min boat ride. There isn’t much in the way of shops so if like me, you like a mooch round the shops, don’t expect much. I would come back to the hotel again if I wanted another holiday for just relaxing which is exactly what I got.

Our second visit, and we once again booked a sea view room. Unfortunately, when we arrived in our room it wasn’t a full sea view at all and the vast majority was a view of some trees. I explained at reception and we were moved to another room with a full sea view and our room upgraded. Staff are lovely, breakfast offers something for everyone. Cleanliness is excellent, which all in all topped another great stay
