Hotel Lero

The hotel is in a great location, a 15 minute walk to the old city and the bus stop is really close to the hotel which will transport you to and from. Catching the no4 bus will also take you to Lapad which is beautiful. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic, great choice. The service was equally as good. We tried the spa- be sure to book this in advance and if you go for an early morning slot (like we did) ask the spa to put the jaquzi on to warm up ready. The reason it’s a 4 star review is we were in a room located at the back of the hotel which was very noisy with an extractor fan on and off all night, the workmen would start work at 6am, which meant non of us had a great nights sleep. But other than that- it was a fantastic few days.

Currently here now on 8th April , outside temp is roughly 20 degrees during the day! There is no air con in the room! Phoned reception who told me it’s still classed as Winter so it does not work yet , they provided a fan only. Temp in room reading 30 degrees and we have been awake all night on night 1 of a 4 night stay!!! Absolutely horrendous night sleep and clearly a money saving ploy by the hotel , how can they justify this!! I’m not sure I will make the 4 nights tbh!!!!

We chose Hotel Lero because of location to the Old Town. It was a lovely walk, slightly harder coming up though. The roads are being resurfaced so the dust is a lot if you’re walking. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was great, enough choice for everyone. We ate also in the evening twice also buffet and of good choice and quality. The staff are very nice, always smiling and helpful. The only negative is the air con didn’t work even after an engineer looked at it, and we had no feed back after I pointed this out. It was over 25* in our room on the man road side, so didn’t leave the window open at night…….. We visited the burger shack ‘Jacks’ down the road which was amazing! And worth a visit if you like burgers!!

Horrifically bad nights sleep for all 3 nights we were there due to the kitchen extraction system running all night every night. Room temperature was 24.7 degrees which meant that we had to have the window open otherwise it’d be a sweat box-air conditioning didn’t work or was switch off as it’s out of season. Ask for another room if you have any beginning 55. We did but they were rammed full apparently…

Three of us Ladies visited this week with an Easy Jet holiday. From the minute we got there was super ,great spacious smart public areas,pool,restaurants and bar all lovely .The room was great and so was the service .The breakfast was so fab what a variety of gorgeous food .A truly great stay
