Hotel Splendid

Our stay here was fine, nothing special - the hotel itself is quite dated and pretty basic. It is close to the sea and there are some really nice day beds with a gorgeous view, which was nice to lay on, read a book and drink a refreshing beer. It is also in a great location, with a bus stop just at the top of the steps, with the journey to the Old Town only taking about 10 minutes. One negative however is that we forgot to pick up water when we were out, and the water at the hotel cost €4.80 for a 500ml bottle!

On arrival last week we were greeted with very pleasant staff. Hotel is in a great location overlooking Lapad bay and has a local bus stop at top of steps which is great for access to old town . The bus by the way are really good and reliable. Hotel is 3 star and I would say that’s fair. Our room was on 3rd floor (no lift) Room was small but had all we needed and the view is spectacular. Gardens are immaculate however I don’t feel it’s a private beach as anyone can walk on it. The view from outside restaurant is spectacular at sunset. There is a good breakfast however it’s limited if you are gluten intolerant Room itself had a lot of lumps out of wooden floors and the. Balcony had no light and a canopy that was torn a lot. This is me nitpicking . Great location friendly staff very clean and did all we needed .

A beautiful hotel, loved everything about this place. Room was lovely and clean, food was beautiful everyday. We stayed half board and ate in the hotel every morning and every night. Lovely chilled out hotel and all of the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our flight was delayed coming out and we didn’t arrive at the hotel until midnight. The staff has made us a cold plate of food for us to eat, which was heaven as we were very hungry, it was such a lovely gesture. Honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough. It really was the most perfect place to stay.

Lovely stay for our 1 year wedding anniversary, arrived to champagne and fresh flowers to celebrate which was such a lovely touch! Hotel is very clean, cleaners come every morning to freshen up rooms. The staff are all so polite and friendly massive shout to Zohan he was amazing so happy and friendly everyday great member of your team! The hotel itself is a little outdated but the views and the grounds make up for it! 100% - had aircon and free wifi and access to the beach perfect stay thank you

I really cannot understand what people complain about here. True the hotel is a bit aged, but matches the pictures. Only downsize of the room is that there are no power sockets by the bed, but there are 2 by the desk. it's spotelss clean and the bathroom is renovated. Breakfast is rich and various. Position is unmatchable, right facing the sunset and with a beach by the hotel - and for the Croatian standard not even that small and with ok access to the water. Nearby you have a supermarket, the bus stop to the center right outside the hotel and lots of at 10 min wolking. We were super happy and can only recommend, to be able to bath early in the morning or late evening just outside your room with that sunset is a luxury that not even most of the 4-5 stars hotel offer in DBV.
