Remisens Hotel Albatros

Whilst the location is spot on and the hotel is generally clean and tidy, the biggest letdown had to be the food that was appalling. We stayed half board for 5 nights but ended up having to eat out every night because the food really is that bad. There is no variety and not replenished quickly enough, but also, the food is tasteless. I would say this is a 3-star hotel at best. Based on the food I would not recommend staying at this hotel

We stayed all inclusive for 10 nights. We had a superior room on the first floor which had a side view of the sea. It had a mini fridge and a kettle. The room was a lovely size, the aircon was great and not noisy at all. The shower was good too. Room was cleaned regularly too. Breakfast was outstanding and plenty of choices. Lunch and dinner were very average and even though we tried some amazing fish there was never anything decent to go with it. The snack bar was ok but there were not many choices. There were plenty of choices of drinks to have. Staff worked really hard but not enough of them therefore sticky floors around the pool area and lots of empty cups everywhere. Music played on a loop by the pool drove me nuts !!! The male animation team member was outstanding with his Aqua gym . If you like the 80s then you will like the entertainment but not upbeat enough for us. We feel it's more of a 3 star hotel. We loved Cavtat but wouldn't return to this hotel.

Location - good not far from Cavtat centre 4/5 Atmosphere - non existent... very limited terrible entertainment 0/5 Rooms - very good comfortable and modern 4/5 Value - not good at all. We payed a premium price for a very basic all inclusive 0/5 Cleanliness - rooms are very clean. Pool area is a disgrace. Sunbed area is never clean with plastic glasses and rubbish everywhere. 2/5 Noise - quite quiet 4/5 Service - poor. Staff are quite dismissive and the hotel is completely understaffed. Dirty pool area ... dirty plates left at lunch time. Food in the restaurant not replenished quick enough. It seems there are too many guests and not enough staff to deal with them. 1/5 In summary we are very disappointed with the overall experience. Would not recommend on any level and would not consider returning.

have just returned from a 5-night stay, and I can honestly say this hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. I would rate it closer to a 2-star. We booked all inclusive, but the food was absolutely disgusting. There was very little choice, food wasn’t being replenished, and the same salad appeared to be left out for the entire five days, gradually turning grey. The meat was poor quality, and there were virtually no child-friendly options apart from a soggy pizza on one evening. We ate at the hotel on our first night and then chose to eat out every night afterwards because the food was so bad. The all-inclusive drinks were equally disappointing. The cocktails came from a machine with bottles of alcohol attached, but when the bottles ran out they weren’t replaced until the following day, meaning you were left drinking sugary juice with little or no alcohol. The soft drinks machine had clearly run out of syrup, so the cola, orange and lemonade all tasted like soda water. The soft drinks themselves were cheap, watered down and unpleasant. The rooms and bathrooms were actually nice and were one of the better parts of the hotel. The cleaners replaced our towels daily, but apart from that there wasn’t much evidence of any cleaning or attention to the room during our stay. The staff at the pool bar and snack bar were incredibly rude. They acted as though making drinks was an inconvenience and made us feel unwelcome. Staff in other areas of the hotel barely acknowledged us either, which added to the poor experience. The pool area itself was decent, although it costs €8 per day to hire a sun lounger on the beach. The children’s daytime entertainment was also disappointing. There was only one member of the entertainment team trying to do everything. He had great energy and clearly did his best, but it simply wasn’t enough and fell far below what we expected from a hotel advertised as 4-star. Overall, this was a very disappointing holiday. We paid for an all-inclusive package but ended up spending extra money eating and drinking elsewhere because the hotel’s food and drinks were of such poor quality. I would not return and would not recommend this hotel if you’re expecting genuine 4-star standards.
