Remisens Hotel Albatros

Fantastic hotel, we have stayed in hundreds of 3star but this the best, wonderful locallity opposite the beach, short stroll to Cavtat, exeptionally clean, lovelly food never ever had LAMB chops before, the snack bar at 4pm. is great anything you want, maybee a few little niggles such as older boys booting a football round the pool also people around the pool who should have gone to Benidorm, if you want a touch of class go to the Albatros.

Reading some of these reviews was I in same place or I must be very easily pleased!!! We had a lovely week beds and pillows very comfortable, room cleaned daily. We found the food very good and varied if you couldn’t find anything suitable to eat I feel sorry for you!! The restaurant staff worked very hard and always a smile and helpful. The views beautiful and a nice walk into Cavtat harbour and did the three islands boat trip, very good. Water taxi to Dubrovnik thought it very commercialised and busy with two cruise liners in but probably worth a visit. Beautiful country friendly people. Would like to try different part of Croatia.

Location was great and views outstanding, lacked atmosphere as there was very limited "entertainment". Drinks on all inclusive package were of poor quality as on the whole was the food, with limited variety and availability of food. Rooms were small and in need of TLC. Due to all of the above poor value for money.

Came to Croatia with a travel group. Would 100% return to Croatia. Beautiful country. Would probably not stay here again. Rooms: The rooms are nice. Small by American standards but good size for European standards. Good closet and shelf space. Bathroom is also a nice size but the shower could be bigger. Air conditioner control was either on or off. No adjusting the level. The shower had no shelving so no place to put your soap, shampoo and conditioner. Typical of European countries, they do not supply wash (face) clothes. But disturbing was they didn’t have tissues (bad for someone with allergies like me) and the toilet paper was the hardest I’ve ever encountered. Meals: The food got repetitive and boring fast. There are options but it would have been nice to have a simple burger, sandwich, pizza, or wrap for lunch once in a while. By our 3rd day we were over it and ate dinner out. There are several really good restaurants within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Drinks were not great. Have a beer instead. Oh, coffee bar and tea options saved my mornings. Hotel- Pool area is nice and the indoor pool was a nice size. There was a game room but not much there. We came on a rainy day so it would have been nice to have some actual games or cards or something to entertain ourselves. Evening entertainment was nothing special but nice none the less. The lobby sitting areas are very nice and comfortable. All in all a nice vacation. Good for families with young children but I would not return. I’d prefer to just eat out than deal with repetitive and boring food.

Well firstly the staff are nice and the views are priceless Thus us definitely not a 4 star hotel- the rooms are very basic furniture basic as well. The whole hotel needs done TLC it needs painted and decor the seating area in the lobby is also so uncomfortable, we were there for week and only had entertainment 2 nights and it wasn’t the best. It’s also the only time I have ever been to a hotel all inclusive and the snack bar only opens between 4-6 you cannot even get an ice lolly or ice cream during the day normally you would have access to that all day. With all that said due to the views you could accept that but what brought it down for me was the good and alcohol. As I said we were AI however the white wine either served from a water jug or a barrel was undrinkable everyone was complaining about it. The cocktails were disgusting from a machine no taste or alcohol it was really poor, that then brings me to the food this was the biggest let down food was really really poor. Two nights I had chicken nuggets from kids section Food was lukewarm at best! Poor choice tasteless greasy and just not good enough. Even salad choice was poor they only night it was good was the Croatia night Even breakfast was poor greasy and same every day I had toast and banana every day. Again this was a common complaint from most guests It’s a real shame as hotel has so much potential but if your used to 4 star it’s not for you!
