Very good stay, the rooms were nice, good facilities st the hotel, we had half board, this was worth the money, breakfast had a good selection, good selection for the cost

Having booked the hotel in June and then reading some of the reviews in August, I must say I was getting worried I'd done the wrong thing. I needn't have worried. I would love to know where the negative reviewers usually go on holiday if they think this hotel is so bad. Firstly the starring system is based on what the hotel has to offer not peoples perceived idea of quality. There are two outdoor pools, a fantastic indoor pool, a Sauna and a very well equipped gym. There is a children's play area and Plenty of sunbeds. We found the hotel very clean, our room was spacious and the free safe was a nice touch. We find we usually have to pay for one. We found all the staff very pleasant, a smile and a hello from us seemed to get the same response in return. The view from the hotel is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The location to Cavtat is great and the ferry to Dubrovnik is just a short walk from the hotel. Now don't get me wrong all is not perfect. The dining room can get busy at breakfast and dinner. It would be nice to have some kind of fruit juice at breakfast rather than sparkling orange drink. Food can sometimes be slow to be replaced. The AI drinks are not the best we've experienced but are tolerable. The beer is not as good as you get from the bars outside of the hotel. The wine we found perfectly drinkable, if not very strong. The Whiskey is pretty ropey. I did order a top brand one night and unlike in Spain you only get a small measure, where as the AI Whiskey they give you a good measure. I found the G&T pretty good, if just a bit sweet. I must say we found the food to be great. If you don't like salad with your food, you may struggle. There was always a couple of meat, which were well cooked and tasty. There was always fish, for those who like it. I didn't try it as if there is a meat option that's always my preference. We were there for 5 days and there was Pizza served on two of those days. Chips were only served on one day, but there was always potatoes of some description which were very tasty. There was also pasta and rice. We found the desserts great too. Unlike in Spain where they all look appetising but all taste the same. These looked appetising and actually tasted like they should. So, all in all we thought this hotel was great, if you're prepared for the fact it's going to be different in some ways to other countries and can just go with the flow, I'm sure you will enjoy it. So, would we go back to this hotel? The answer is most definitely, YES!

Hotel location is amazing, you have everything what you need for one all inclusive hotel. Amazing

The hotel is in a good location. There is no atmosphere at all. The rooms are very tired and a bit run down as is the rest of the hotel. Some staff are pleasant others are not. The restaurant morning and evening serves food that is not hot. Choice is resonable In the evening the restaurant becomes extremely busy and noisy. Would we stay here again? NO. But would return to Cavtat

Very enjoyable holiday at The Albatros. Fantastic location in a stunning area. Hotel was a typical All Inclusive offering, and delivered on all fronts. Don't let negative comments put you off booking here
