I wrote a scathing review after returning from this dump. It appears to have mysteriously disappeared so I best break it down again. How to describe this place. Imagine a warehouse, then bring your expectations down a few points. The room. No aircon or rather the aircon did not work. Foid? Disgusting. Charging €5 for a small bottle of water. Ice was in a communal bucket. Enough said about that. Childrens room equalled a pool table with holes all over the felt, and a single cue with no tip. That was it. Staff were rude. The pool service was a joke and the drinks so expensive you just felt.constantly ripped off. Horrible horrible horrible horrible place. They should be ashamed.but.doubt very.much they are.

We liked the hotel a lot. We've been to lots of half board hotels and the food was great! Nae chips for us Scots!....that just doesn't matter. Loads of variety and the quality was good which isnt always the case at big hotels. Don't like to admit it, but I'm a coffee snob,I reckon it's best coffee out of a big machine I've ever had. Pool was freezing, but we were always in the sea which is very near by. Snorkeling, we saw a big octopus and loads of fish. The adriatic is the best sea I've ever swum in. Dubrovnik is stunning. We got the 3 day pass which includes busses, the wall and most of the museums. Also highly recommend the short boat trip to Lokrum.

Overall, a great stay. Hotel was very clean, friendly staff, food was good. We agreed it was the first hotel buffet we’ve ever been to, that didn’t do chips! What really is not a problem, just a well done to the hotel for thinking outside of the box and doing different potatoes! Outdoor pool was freezing, I recall seeing a sign saying it was 19, our local pool is kept at around 30, so a big difference! Bring wetsuits if you’re visiting in the cooler months. The room reminded us of a cruise cabin, very small and compact. The fridge is a nice touch. There are not any tea/coffee making facilities. The pillows were awful, very soft! Which is fine if that’s what you like. We honestly think if the pillows were better, we would have loved to stay longer. We couldn’t wait to get home to our decent pillows! Maro land near by, is the kids club. Which is absolutely excellent! Your children will never be bored. The one concern about Maro land is it has safeguarding issues. We very much felt that anyone could walk in, acting like a parent, equally children could walk out of the door very easily. There is the option to drop the children off for activities, they will be given a coloured wrist band, depending on the parents wishes to segregate them just to the staff led activity room or allow them to roam free across the whole complex. We really didn’t feel comfortable allowing our child to roam free across the complex for the above named reasons. We feel that the entry/exit system really needs to be looked at for Maro land, it’s just not safe, in the UK you’d never get away with that sort of entry/exit system in place.
