TUI BLUE Kalamota Island Resort

Lovely place, everything is just simply 10 out of 10. From food, drinks, services, and accommodation they are all more than what I am expecting! Amazing place and amazing people!

Loved the friendly atmosphere. The food was great but our favourite were the drinks. Angel is hands down the best bartender, outgoing and creative. He’s cocktails are top notch! We had a great time and the bar was a great place to relax and enjoy a great conversation. Check out this resort and if you want to try genuine cocktails, ask for Angel.

The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It is a perfect location for just relaxing as there isn't a great deal to do on the island. If you do want to come here, be aware that seeing Dubrovnik very much relies on the public ferry which is reasonably priced, but if you miss the last one back at 8pm, it is going to cost about 150 euros to get a private boat back. Which is a bit of a rip off considering the ferry is only 5 euro each way per person. There is also a very limited service on a Sunday and Bank Holiday. The food is ok, great salads, but the hot food is mostly over cooked and just about luke warm at best. The deserts are pretty amazing to be honest. The drinks are pretty good, but if you want premium alcohol, you have to pay extra. We booked a quiet room, that was a waste of time as there are no quiet rooms due to the layout of each villa and the echo around the whole building. A quiet room basically means facing the back wall, rather than the sea or the pool. It is not a good choice for people with mobility problems, as the villas are all up several flights of stairs. There are pool rules that is supposed to stop people reserving sunbeds before 9am, but the staff don't enforce it at all, as as per usual there are selfish people who will place towels on sunbeds and walk away for ages. The entertainment is average in the evening, but there is quite a bit going on in the day should you wish to join in. We have had time to relax here, but we would not come back, as there are better TUI hotels in Croatia and I would not place this particular hotel as one of my personal recommendations.

A truly beautiful hotel set in a stunning backdrop. A captivating place. As always TUI was well organised and communication was superb. From leaving the airport the transfers were efficient and well organised. To get to the island we had a private TUI boat which was a perfect start and introduction to the island. On arrival in to the bay we found it exactly as described and shown in the photos. A lovely welcome and baggage was all handled for us and take. To the rooms. We arrived in time for lunch which was amazing as the food was throughout the entire stay. The room was lovely, clean and well presented and was refreshed every day. The resort has ample loungers poolside and beach side and we always found ones where we wanted regardless of the time of day. We used the gym, the spa, the pool and the beach and could not find fault with any of the facilities. Finally the staff are superb, always friendly and super attentive to your every need. A stunning place and one we will be returning to. A real gem in the TUI portfolio.

This was our third time at Kalamota Island hotel - as always, we had an incredibly relaxing holiday. We keep coming back because we know we are going to be well looked after, well fed, and have an utterly relaxing holiday where we can really get away from it all. It really is such an idyllic location. The hotel was super clean (housekeeping are really attentive), and the entire team are warm and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Mirjana in the Four Element bar deserves a special mention for her awesome cocktails, but Martin and the guys in the main bar and the restaurant were fabulous too!! We really did feel incredibly well looked after. The team were on hand to answer any queries that we had - Aiofe was especially helpful. A massive 'Thank You' to everyone involved for making our stay so wonderful.
