TUI BLUE Kalamota Island Resort

Spent a week here with my wife for our 33rd Wedding anniversary in mid September ,only just realised I didn't review it. This hotel is a great place to go for a relaxing break , the island is reached by ferry and is traffic free apart from a few smaller engine 3 wheelers. The rooms are located on a steep hillside and may be difficult to access if you have mobility problems , the food/drink was good ,the staff were lovely.It's a very quiet hotel so if you want excitement then it's not for you. You can explore the island on foot and it there are some lovely little gems to be found around the coast , we also took a trip to neighbouring Lopud which is somewhere we would like to stay in the future, we also caught a sunset boat to Dubrovnik which was really nice and did the wine tour. We've stayed at a few TUI blues and this one is definitely one of the best we've experienced

Nice hotel room ,staff were nice especially the activities leaders.dominika . My one disappointment was that the beers were very low alcohol or possibly diluted. I drank lots of them one day and it did not affect me in the slightest. This has aroused suspicion. The food was ok. I mean good variety and the desserts were delicious.

We returned for a second holiday as we liked last years visit so much. Still a fab place to viisit we had another great 10 days. Food was really good, plenty of variety, lovely fresh pizzas and if you befriend nenad he will make a special Garlic Bread for you, he makes his own dough daily for the pizzas and some breads. Pool area good, if yoxu wanted a particular sunbed you needed be there for pool opening time at 8am, they do keep the pool area blocked until then, commendable. A few wasps round the pool but not stinging ones. Drinks good no long waits. Activities good , we did the guided Island walks with Dominica, played Kubb, boules (with bean bags on concrete! as its a public beach and van't play proper boules there) and darts. Silent Discos were fun, wine tasting, olive oil appreciation event, face masks and cocktail making, plenty to do from the very good ents team. Met people there that we met the previous year so that speaks for itself. Culinarium meal was lovely luckily we just finished before a spectacular storm of which we had a few mostly night times. Will we go back? for sure.

We stayed here for week after a cruise. The main hotel complex is very tired and in dire need of a refurb. It badly lacks nice outdoor seating areas as the ones on offer have bare grass crap loungers and torn furniture. On the beach you are packed in like sardines with no room between sun beds, and the beach is dirty with cigarette butts everywhere. The food is terrible , cold and inedible and we lived on fresh baked pizza which was good for a week, but come on!!! The drinks and cocktails are rubbish with limited choice on offer unless you upgrade your drinks package. The staff are uninterested and not very friendly unless you tip them!!! The rooms are ok, but are let down badly by the main hotel complex. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, probably 2 1/2-3 star at a push. Would not stay here again!!!

Consistently good and I speak as a 6th timer…perfect honeymoon part 2. So I’d stayed her five times before last year just a short break and we were told they were closing for a major refurbishment this year….this has been delayed however we decided to forgo a Bali honeymoon and do as cruise and stay which allowed us to return to the Kalamota island. Our cruise was definitely a let down , the standards on Marella have fallen no longer is there good food and service or what was a premium drinks deal really disappointed so to go back here was the best. Calm after the storm….had a fantastic massage on arrival . Food was better than ever and now is great for vegans , gluten free and lactose intolerant people. Rooms very clean and spacious, fridge stored with water every day without fail. They provided a swan towel art for our honeymoon gave us a cake for husbands 60th birthday at no extra charge plus a beautiful room with a bay view and balcony , we were really looked after. As always the staff always work so hard , from reception staff, to reps, cleaners , waiters, chefs and the very best cocktail lady Marjana at the 4 Elements everyone made the holiday perfect. They even allowed us a second meal in The Cullinarium usually just one per stay , we offered to pay as it’s so nice to look out on the bay and be waited on, again staff especially attentive and even googled the capers for us on the amazing salad starter, nothing is too much for these people. A lovely relaxing hotel in the prettiest place , do not come here if you want loud big style nightlife or have walking difficulties as this is not for you. If you want calm , clean and a cultural experience this is for you. We took part in wine tasting that was good, Dominica and Graham the reps were always around and helpful. Tamara on reception was so kind nothing too much trouble. Loved Marko in the restaurant where he enticed me in to trying hake which was lovely…I actually saw him go to a lady at her table and de head and fillet her fish for her giving her garlic oil …this to me was an example of excellent customer service. To add the entertainment as well as the food has stepped up, had the best silent disco ever …so much more to offer than my first visit 10 years ago.
