Valamar Argosy Hotel

Valamar Agosy is a wonderful hotel! The staff are all super friendly, the facilities are spaciously laid out, easy to find and always clean and tidy. The weather was a bit hit and miss but with the indoor spa there’s plenty of space to relax even on a cloudy day. Once the sun came out, there were plenty of sun beds and pools - no where ever felt overcrowded and we would definitely return at this time of year. Zlatan was especially accommodating and friendly and did everything he could to make our experience extra special.

Super location and views [what sunsets!]. Lovely room, great food, nice staff. Indoor and outdoor pools, sauna. Can only praise this hotel as it was fantastic. Very handy for the little buses into Dubrovnik also

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful hotel! The staff was very helpful especially Ivo and Antonio. .Kristajan our waiter at breakfast and lunch was awesome! Very helpful with menu suggestions and places to go visit! Thank you. We love Dubrovnik and will be back.

Bar staff at Valamar hotel have excellent service , we have had drinks in the evening bar, Phillip G and Angela Z , served our drinks and were lovely and friendly , made our evening a real pleasure , thank you x

I was very pleased with my stay at the Valamar Argosy Hotel. The sea view from our room was stunning. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a great pool area and plenty of space to find a sun lounger. There are even several infinity pools overlooking the Adriatic, the Croatian coastline and nearby islands. For visiting Dubrovnik, the hotel is about 15 minutes from the town gate and is easily reached using the excellent public transport. The food at the hotel is good, with breakfasts offering a wide and plentiful selection. The poolside bar is also worth trying for very good lunch snacks. Food and beverages are not cheap, but prices in Dubrovnik are noticeably high at the moment. The rooms are very nice, well maintained and comfortable. A couple of slight gripes: room service trays are not always collected and can remain outside rooms all day. I also noticed that some trays had been moved to one of the emergency exits, and despite reporting this to reception, they were still left there with remnants of food. For all I know, they may still be there. Reception staff are efficient, although perhaps not as flexible or customer service orientated as I would expect. The same applies to the bar in the foyer, where a little more focus on customer service would go a long way. All in all, it's a good hotel in a stunning location. I'll definitely book another week in this location later in the year. Will it be this hotel, I am not decided on that.
