Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik

We spent 7 nights at this hotel for October half term. The hotel was nice and it was lovely to have access to the spa and indoor pool. The pool was closed for a couple of days but a pool at a nearby hotel was available if required. The half board buffet restaurant was good, sometimes crowded if there was a tour group staying or when the conference was in but we all found nice things to eat and as a vegetarian I found there to be a lot better choice than most hotels I've stayed in. The only negative was the breakfast 'juices' as they were all a strange cordial rather than fresh juice. Our room was quite small with the fold out bed in, and the bedding didn't fit the bed but it seemed clean and was serviced daily. There was a strange smell at the front of the hotel so we couldn't keep the balcony door open. There was a safe, kettle and fridge available as well as robes and slippers. Our son loved Maro World. It was great for him to spend an hour or two there before dinner. The hotel was well located for the bus to the old town or for walks along the coast or river.

We really enjoyed our week long stay at Lacroma. Excellent facilities and we had a great interconnected family room. Facilities were excellent, staff were lovely and the food was great. Would highly recommend this hotel and only a short drive/ bus/ uber to Old Town Dubrovnik.

What can say about this hotel.I think it’s one of the best 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The room was very clean as was the hotel through out. The staff were excellent especially in the dining areas.The food choice was outstanding from the sushi bar to the meat and fish dishes that were cooked in front of you.Pool areas had plenty of beds if needed. The indoor pool was really warm .The weather was warm outside but the outdoor pool was cold (it was October after all) So the indoor pool was great to use.The position of the hotel was excellent.A short bus ride (no 6) 2.5 euros direct to the old town each way.Buses run every 10min .Get a Dubrovnik City pass saves a lot of money if you want to visit the city walls ,fort museums etc. It takes around half an hour to walk to the marina where the cruise ships . There is also a small shopping area about a 5 min walk from the hotel with a few small bars and cafes.

Anamaria gave the best massage! Access to the spa for guests is a real treat - three saunas (finnish, bio, steam) and beautiful rest areas. There are even small snacks, water, and tea to enjoy.

Wonderful hotel, great staff, in a beautiful location with easy access to Dubrovnik by local bus that runs every 10 minutes.
