Overall the hotel was reasonable. The location is good, but half of the rooms look out onto a very busy, noisy road and a 24/7 petrol station. The other side of the hotel had rooms with a beautiful sea view. Our tour group weren't offered these. The rooms are good. Spacious and well serviced daily. Hairdryer, kettle and safe always plus. The hotel has good spa facilities with indoor and outdoor pool. Food was mostly good but as a vegetarian, my options were very limited. Evening meals had three or four meat options, two fish options and often only pizza or salad or soup as meat free options. My main negative was the room temperature. The rooms were really hot. It was a constan 26C in the rooms including overnight. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was on. We had air conditioning in the rooms and a control panel. The information booklet in the room explained how to use this but it would not work. When this was mentioned to the reception staff we were told firstly that it wasn't yet the air-conditioning season. They were still on the heating system. Someone else was told that it had to be 30C for the air con to be switched on. Someone else was told that the heating and air-conditioning was not controlled by the hotel but by a big head office and the hotel had no control over it's own system. Sounds ridiculous. We were told to just open the room doors on to the balcony to get cooler air. We would have if the road noise didn't make this far too hard to sleep. No one on our tour was happy. The response from hotel staff merged on unpleasant. Such a shame. Getting a good night sleep is a part of a great hotel stay. Being listened to by staff is also important. As is being treated as a valued guest. This hotel needs to improve. Don't have air-conditioning controls in rooms if you don't allow guests to use it

Food was absolutely appalling in the evening buffet except the pizzas and salad. Meat, fish dishes were awful Rooms at the front of hotel overlook a garage and road. Impossible to sit on balcony due to fumes

The hotel is in a good location for the village although there’s not much in the local area to see and do, other than swimming or walking along the Lungomare. Opatija is a 15 minute bus ride away or you can walk it in just over an hour. The hotel has all the usual facilities of a standard 4 star. My room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. It was cleaned daily and the towels changed. It overlooked the road, which was noisy during the day but quiet at night, but most importantly I had the late afternoon sun on my balcony! The buffet food at breakfast and dinner was plentiful, hot and fresh. There was a good choice so you should find something you like. Ordering drinks in the restaurant took ages so I’d suggest buying what you want from the bar beforehand and taking it with you. There’s no beach, just a concrete swimming/platform. Avoid the steps into the sea, they’re incredibly slippery (I slipped down two and hurt my back). Instead turn left from the back of the hotel and walk two minutes to the small pebble beach where you can walk straight into the sea.
